This book is very well written. Excellent. Three months after reading her "Lease Option/Subject To" book I was able to do a lease option deal with a motivated seller. Now that I am ready to exercise my option, I was having problems finding a mortgage broker that can refinance a lease option deal. I emailed Wendy Patton and she responded in less than 24 hours with 5 mortgage brokers that can do the refinance. Bottom line, this is a Great Book! and a Great Author!

As a Realtor, I get a little nervous when my investor clients come to me and want to try things they read about or saw on the web or on tv. Most of those things are illegal in the state I practice in.
However, this is a good primer for beginners in Lease Options and Subject-to deals, both Realtors and investors can profit from this read.
I do have clients who use variations of these strategies, but it is very important that you fully understand how these work and what can happen if they don't work. This book is a good addition to every investor and Realtor's reference library.
A word of caution: Before you attempt any of these proceedures discuss it with a very knowledgable real estate attorney, preferrably one who is also a real estate investor.

Her book is simply an advertisement .......2007-06-28
How to Invest in Real Estate using Lease Options and Subject To's is nothing but an advertisement for her more expensive $700 course which includes all the scripts, contracts, forms, CD's, DVD's, powerpoint presentations to Realtors and so forth. I am really disappointed that she refuses to allow you to download these scripts, contracts and forms she mentions in her book for free off her website. Her book is worthless until you are willing to shell out $700 for her course. I love the content of the book but if you are a broke unemployed salesman you will continue to stay broke because it always takes money to make money. There is no such thing as free anymore. No such thing as compassion for those trying to get a brake here.

Being a woman, I realize that I'm already at a disadvantage when it comes to buying a car. Not that I'm a woman, but that the approach car dealers use towards women and their attitudes towards women are so uncalled for, so disrespectful and so not acceptable. They assume just because I'm a woman that I don't know what I'm doing or that I need the help of a man to buy a car.
Well, thanks to Pique Lyle and her most incredible and informative book, I learned so much about every aspect of buying, leasing, and financing a car. I was able to walk into the dealership showroom and buy my new car with all the dignity and confidense in the world, and tons of amunition to negotiate the best deal ever. Her book was also extremely funny and so easily read and understood... I would recommend this book to everyone who's in the market for a new automobile, male or female.

I loved this book! I was very concerned about buying a car. Now I am well informed and prepared to stand my ground. Many of the key points have been mentioned by other auto experts. I do not feel so vulnerable now when I walk into the showroom. This book is must for anyone thinking about a car purchase. I am so glad it has become part of my auto purchasing research library. I now see all the things I did incorrectly last summer when I first glaced at some models. I also laugh about the crap that the saleperson said to me and the stupid questions he asked. I won't be visiting that dealership again. I'll drive by in my pre-owned Grand Am (baby #2 :)) and wave and I will laugh and thank Pique again.

I was in the market for a new vehicle, and even being a guy, I was not 100% sure of what I was going up against with the car dealers. Ms. Lyle's book is informative, entertaining and a MUST read for anyone who is considering buying or leasing a vehicle. I purchased the book, read it completely a few times, and went to the dealership and saved almost $3000! Buy this book!

When someone reccomended the book to me , I thought it would probably not be of any help considering I've purchsed several cars and thought I pretty much thought I had the idea of the whole thing....But Pique's book opens new ideas that I had never even thought of as being a rip off ...the book is definitley worth buying , considering you will learn soo many new things in a clear , light hearted manner ! This is one of the most useful "How To" books I've read. As a Certified Financial Planner I am called upon by clients all the time for advice on buying or leasing vehicles. I now either recommend PKs book or loan them my copy. For those of you who are frightened of doing the math that buying a car requires, don't be. PK walks you through clear, easy to follow examples of how to figure out what to offer and how to go about it. And, this is a just plain fun book to read.

Book Did Not Meet My Needs as a Stock Investor.......2007-09-05
I was disappointed with the book, it did not match my needs. I am a stock investor and was hoping to get new insights on how to use free cash flow to determine stock values. Instead this book discusses why free cash flow is better than GAAP earnings (which I already knew), and devotes the remaining 80% of the book on what free cash flow based reports should be used to manage companies.
To give you a better feel for what is in this book, here are the chapter headings: Free Cash Flow, Fast Focus Forward, The Major Product Report, The Major Products Summary Report, The Major Customer Support, The Major Customers Summary Report, The Corporate Report, The Peer Group Report, Conclusion.
To help buyers better understand what they are buying, I recommend this publisher make the "search inside" feature available to potential buyers. If I had better insight as to what this book contained I would have recognized it did not meet my needs and would not have bought it.

As a board member without a finance background, the book was useful and I recommend it. It is a quick read and provides a useful overview of the cash/profit dichotomy. Unfortunately, it is something of a diatribe against GAAP, which must have some strengths. Stil, reading the book was a good use of 2-3 hours for me.
