I have had the remarkable pleasure of attending lectures by the author, Jill Leblanc. The book uncannily reflects her instructional style. It is clearly organized, concise and often humorous. Thinking Clearly is a joy to read; for any text primarly targetted towards university students, that is truly saying something. There is a reason why almost every course of this type reccomends Thinking Clearly; it's affordable and above all else, extremely effective.

This book rightfully calls into question the way we develop athletes in America. It exposes the lack of true technical knowledge on the part of coaches and sports organizations. The only requirement most coaching jobs have is to be a former athlete.
Dr Yessis backs his claims by showing the errors of many things believed to be facts. His background in bio mechanics allows him to be able decipher many accepted "truths" to be bunk. This is an excellent read for anyone who is tired of hearing the same cliche laden bologna from coaches and executives.

Duffy gives us a brief, vividly illustrated book that teaches Microsoft Office Word 2003 to a beginner. The size of MS Word can be very offputting. All those complicated buttons and menus and steps to do. But Duffy shows that to get started doing useful work, you only really need a fraction of those features.
Indeed, if you follow her text, you can quickly be writing a letter or a paper. There is the joy of finding out how easy it can be to change fonts or colours. Or to add headlines or emphasis. She gives a very pragmatic approach to learning this subject. Don't worry about the intricate stuff. Learn the basics and start working.

This book is an excellent reference for designing web pages with CSS.
The author explains steps by steps the complexities of web page design. The asociated figures for each example to work are excellent, as well as the web pages colors. The CD ROM was very helpful as well as the movies.
I am very happy with book format, procedures, and expected solutions to a given problem. Personally, I had a little problem because as a PC guy my IE version was old. Once I updated to IE7 everything was fine.
