Great gift for a child.......2007-08-03

I bought this book as a gift for the flowergirl in my wedding, she is 4 years old. At first when I recieved it I thought it might be too young for her, however, seeing her eyes light up when she opened it changed my mind for sure. She kept calling the book magic! As many of the rhymes are familiar to her she thought she was reading, and being a reading teacher I know that memeorizing text is the first step to actual reading, so anything to get a young child interested in reading I am all for! One problem I did notice while just looking at the book myslef is that once the book has been opened a few times, a few of the pop-ups begin to get difficult to close. But overall, an incredible, magical book!

I love all the Robet Sabuda pop-up books. They are amazingly detailed and this is no exception. Gorgeous book, and appeals to adults at least as much as to kids. The incredible skill it took to make this book is more likely to be appreciated by adults - although we are all enchanted by the pictures.

This book follows in the Sabuda tradition - wonderfully intricate, detailed and colorful pop-ups. I was disappointed that 3 or 4 of the pop-ups were "hung up" and took some analysis and intricate intervention to release without tearing. Most people wouldn't spend the time to figure the problem out and would end up w/ damaged pop-ups the first time through the book.

Flimsy construction.......2006-12-19

Unlike other Sabuda pop-up books, this one seems to be rather flimsy. The pop-up elements seem to be straining the covers they are attached to. I would choose another of his titles. I like Alice in Wonderland and Cookie Count and both are more durable.

Each book I buy keeps getting better and better! I began collecting Robert Sabuda's Pop-Up Books with the Wizard of Oz and each year I purchase one or two as a Christmas gift to myself.

This is a shortened version of a few of Mother Goose's rhymes: Little Bo Peep, Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe, Hickory Dickory Dock, Little Miss Muffet, Peter Piper, Little Jack Horner, Sing a Song of Sixpence, Rub-a-Dub-Dub, The Mouse has Married the Bumblebee, The Cat and the Fiddle. Children like to touch the pictures, the open "windows" on the buildings, etc. The pictures are very cute and the details of one page merge well into the next. It is short enough to read to a young baby on a rocking chair. A great adaptation from the classic.

Good Study Guide for the price.......2007-04-12

I am currently studying for the network+ exam and I chose this book because it comes with a cd with over 650 questions. I previously purchased the A+ exam cram book and passed it with ease. I also purchased the CCNA book and passed the intro exam. I'll take the ICND in a few months. Make sure you get the exam cram book with the measure up test engine, the prep logic test engine doesn't have nearly as many questions. You can tell by looking at the front cover of the book.
The only draw back to the testing engine is that a handful of questions have the wrong answers. The explanations for these questions do not match the answers given. 5 questions at the most.

This is a good substitute for the study guides that costs more than the exam itself.

Excellent preparation tool........2007-01-11

The practice CD that comes with this book is a fine study tool for Exam N10-003. When I installed the disk, I was given the option to download the update to the question base. I'm assuming that some of the questions others have complained about were corrected with the update. I couldn't find any wrong answers, and the explanations were right on target. These questions serve to drive Network+ concepts home. They may not be the exact questions that are on the actual test, but they sure do help in preparing you for the exam.

Very Helpful.......2006-08-05

This is the 3rd book I used to help me pass the Exam. First, I bought a big thick one, then a smaller one, and finally this one. The main reason I bought this book was for the questions: 650 practice questions! All the other training books just give you 10 questions per chapter; no way near enough to test someone. However, my suggestion is to not even use the book. Just use the CD that comes with it, becuase it has all the questions from the book, and you can grade your answer instantly instead of having to turn to all different pages.

I will admit though, there are some errors on questions. I've found quite a few mistakes in this book, but at any rate, these book really helps out. I took the test today and saw some quite a couple of similar questions from this book on the exam.

Frustrating .......2006-03-14

I'd say about 70% of the book's content is okay. Not an excellent measure of your networking knowledge, but a start. The other 30% is purely fluff. But when you add it all together, this book is 100% frustrating.

First the fluff part: You are asked a question about a given topic. Then you are asked virtually the exact same question again. Four questions later - Yep, there's that question again. Turn the page - again. Asking the same question (on the same page or within pages of each other) 3 or 4 times with little modification is such a waste of time. The knowledge can be tested in just one. If it is important enough to ask again, at least approach it from a different perspective.

Second - and the worst part - was that time and time again the correct answer to a question was miss-marked in the answer key. For example, if the answer was supposed to be C. HTML, the detailed explanation of the answer in the back of the book would say something like "Yes! You're right: The answer is A. HTML," which also meant that the quick answer key was wrong as well. So, expect lots of extra work trying to decipher the correct answer and the confusion that usually comes with it. I must have come across this 20 or 30 times in a book with hundreds of questions. Simply unacceptable.

Because of these two reasons, I nearly threw this book in the garbage a few times. Sad to say that the Exam Cram series' credibility - and Ed Tittel's famed "editing abilities" - takes a hit with this one.

Do Not Buy This Book!.......2006-01-17

I was highly disappointed at the inaccuracy of the questions (min 4/per chapter as another reviewer wrote). I had taken a Net+ class about a year ago and worked 5 yrs in Techsupport so I wanted this to be a refresher. ExamCram test prep showed I was scoring 95 - 98% so I felt confident on taking the exam. When I read the questions on the exam, my heart sank. The book did NOT prepare me for the exam. There were items on there the practice questions didn't cover. Needless to say I didn't pass, am very disappointed in this product and it's going in the trash. Don't make the same mistake I did! Buy another book!!!

out it is nothing like the real exam, It doesn't really give you a feel for the real exam,There are other exam preps material out there that gives you more of a feel for the real exam than this book.

Good Choice For Test Questions.......2005-08-17

I used this book along with several other texts and practice exams to prepare for the exam. I also used the cccure website. Clement DuPuis runs the site and was the editor of this book which was a factor in my decision to buy. I passed the exam so I am happy with the end result.

Do NOT Buy This Book.......2005-08-04

I purchased this book two weeks before my CISSP exam to practice, and after so many ridiculously-worded questions, mismatched questions and answers, and flat out inaccuracies, I took it back to the store and got a refund.

This is the worst possible study tool to acquire. I don't know how the content got by an editor; it will mislead you as to what the right answers are, confuse you by misrepresenting your actual knowledge, and generally do more harm than good.

Solid Practice.......2005-06-03

I passed the CISSP examination in NYC last month and used this book as part of my practice drills. I mainly used the practice CD. The book itself is the practice CD in paper form. The questions Gregg asks are specific, yet challenging, and push your level of understanding of the 10 domains. The CD engine works fine, but the "mark" feature had a few issues at the end of a quiz. Overall, I believe that this CD isolated my weakness very well in relation to other quiz engines, so I knew exactly what I needed to spend more time on. The questions on calculating ALE and SLE were useful and applicable in a real world sense. Combine this book with Tittel, Harris and ISC2 study guides and you should really have a command of the material.
