Very good, assuming the reader is already familiar with the jargon and general feel for the game.Not deserving critiscism however as people tend to expect too much from such guides.After all,a "guide" is just that.The old grey matter needs some exercise for games such as the Tomb Raider series.Thanks to Kim, a lot of people will still get that rush of achievment,a hell of a lot faster.

The best Tomb Raider guide you can buy.......2000-03-05
When it's all said and done, this book will be remembered as one of Prima's better guides. Author Nick Roberts is an obvious professional and details every aspect of the excellent Tomb Raider. While the guide is in black and white (so are the screenshots), the layout is definitely substance over style (which is, in this case, a very good thing). The walkthrough is detailed enough but not too complex, and the overall package is very simple and easy to read. The controls are all very accurate (even though they are for the PC), and Roberts knows what he's talking about. If you buy one Tomb Raider guide, make it this one.
A great book to have.......2000-03-04
Even though this book is made for the PC, it works for the game consoles that Tomb Raider is in. It does explain each level, although some are a little hard to understand. I notice that they missed one secret in the City of Khamoon. The pictures are good to look at, but because it is in black and white, it's hard to see them clearly. It is a good book to have in case you are stuck.
Tomb Raider: Game Secrets.......2000-02-29
This book is mostly a walk-through of the game which includes black & white screen shots and a description of what to do at each point. The screen shots would have been easier to follow if in color. Not every pick-up is noted, and Roberts said as much in the intro. If you get stuck and need more details, I suggest Tomb Raider: Prima's Official Stategy Guide, by Kip Ward. Ward uses color screen shots and mentions everything. I got both books and used Ward only if Roberts wasn't enough. If you're the type that doesn't want to be told every little detail--stick with Roberts. I very much liked the interview with the game's programmers in this book and would have liked that part to have been longer.
THIS BOOK REALLY STINKS.......1999-10-12
ON LEVEL LONDON - Aldwych there is suppose to be 5 secrets and the book only list 4. I've also notice other area of problems as well. I'm wondering how many other problems will present themselves from this half baked book.
This is the book to buy to beat the classic Tomb Raider........1999-05-01
Prima has done it again, rolling out with another comprehensive, concise and very useful strategy guide for the hit videogame TOMB RAIDER. Good writing and detailed descriptions of all the steps to complete this adventure are well-written and easy to follow; if the pictures had been in color it would have been easier to pinpoint the location that the guide is talking about. Overall, a very worthy purchase and THE strategy guide to pick up.

Provides an excellent step by step approach to working with people. Exercise at the end of each chapter reinforces the concept and is very practical. I would suggest this book to any one who wants to express themselves well and understand why people sometimes behave strangely.

This is a helpful book. Unfortunately, I think it would have been better, though, if it was a little more generic and not so business-oriented. I found myself tempted to skip quite a few of the sections. It is definately worth a read.
8 useful skills to become people smart.......2005-04-24
The author outlines 8 useful and neccessary skills to become People Smart:
1)Understanding People. Author provides a succinct explaination and usefulness of MBTI indicators such as ENTP.
2)Expressing yourself clearly. I didn't find this chapter too useful. As long as you speak clearly and choose your words carefully, you are at least a decent speaker.
3)Asserting your needs. Useful only to for those who can't assert themselves).
4)Exchanging feedback
5)Influencing Others. This is the best chapter by far. Influencing others involve making a connection and figuring out what their needs are (security, acceptance, ego, self actualization) and then making a persuasion in align with their needs.
6)Resolving Conflict. This is only if you argue with people all the time.
7)Being a team player.
8)Shifting Gears.

I did not finish the book - it is more like a 'workbook' than a book. I was hoping to get some insight into how to deal with people in the workplace - this book is full of material that I consider to be common sense. Little emperical or formal evidence is offered.
I suggest 'The Secret Handshake' by Kathleen Kelley Reardon for readers interested in improving their polical skills in a business setting.
