Book Description
Yacov Rambsel astonished biblical scholars and students alike with his astounding discovery of the Hebrew name of Jesus (Yeshua) encoded into virtually every messianic prophecy of the Old Testament. In "His Name is Jesus," Rambsel explores and explains this phenomenon and other new code discoveries that reveal behind doubt that Jesus is the Son of God. This book of impressive new evidence shows that only God could have inspired the writers of the Bible to record the Word of God. His Name is Jesus will challenge you to discover for yourself that the Bible is trustworthy and that Jesus is who He said He was.

His name is Jesus.......2004-07-15
This is not so much a review as an answer to "thelaha" from Malaysia, concerning the name of the Living God. First, the one true God, El, Al, Allah (whatever title you use) has not made things so difficult as to require a background in languages. The modern scholars have given us enough, though they themselves deny the name, the identity, they still give us what we need to identify the one, true, Living God. His name is YHWH, as seen in the english language and is pronounced just as it is, YH-WH. The son, came in His Father's name, YH-shua. Al, Allah, El, Elohim and the term God are not names but titles. One last thing, not all believers in the Christ, YHshua, teach or believe the false doctrine of the "trinity". One more last thing, followers of Allah are not all united either, considering their doctrines or the interpretation of the Koran. It doesn't take much to see the disunity within the religion of Islam. I follow YaHshua as he has shown the way to freedom from the teachings and false doctrines of men. He has shown me the way to real life and made available to me the Father. I can go boldly before the Father in prayer, not by the command of men, or a man, full of does and don't. No, but by the grace and forgivness. The Father chooses not to see my sins and this makes it possible for me, on a personal level, to talk with the maker of all things, to be able to come before His Holy presence.
I'm looking forward to the coming new world. He is going to do it, not men, not some group, not Islam, not Christian, not Jew, not Budda, not Hindu. The Great Maker of all things will come with His angelic army and put man in his proper place. The Kingdom is not coming by the force and wits of men, no matter how holy, or righteous they try to make themselves. Without the Savior, our Master YaHshua we can do nothing but mess things up. I have read the Koran, And I have read the Book there is no comparison. Judge not the Book by the people. Read about the Master, YaHshua, see for yourself. Close your ears to the voices of men and see with your own eyes and mind the way of true salvation. I pray for you my friend, for I see a fire of excitement, for the one God, in you. You are on the threshold of knowledge that can save, don't stop now, pick up the Book, read the story about the man, the Master, the one that came in the Name. His name is not JESUS, that is a bogus name promoted by evil men of the past. The message, and the way are not hidden, go to the Book, ask, for He wants to give knowledge to those that seek it, and ask for it. Peace to you and anyone that might read this. Sorry for going on so long, but I get a little excited too. Peace in our Master and Lord, YH-shua (YH's Savior)
The name of God is ALLAH.......2000-07-06
If you knew your scripture in the original Hebrew instead of in translations as i read the Qur-'an in its Arabic text, then you would clearly see that Allah is the same ancient Semitic name of the Supreme Being who revealed and spoke to Adam and all the prophets.
The name 'JESUS" is derived from the name "YESUS". But from where do u drew the letter "J" ~ a sickness from the european Christians in the 16th centuries. In the bible, Jesus called upon Allah as "ELOHIM". ~ Hebrew=Elah,Arabic=ILAH and English=god
The Trinitarian branch of the Christian Church, for about eighteen centuries has exhausted all the brains of her saints and philosopers to define the Essence and the Person of the Diety; and what have they invented? All that which Athanasiuses, Augustines and Aquinases have imposed upon the Christians "under the pain of eternal damnation" - to believe in a God who is "the third of three"!
Allah, in His Holy Qur-'an, condemns this belief in these solemn words:-
"They are certainly unbelievers, who say God is the third of three, for there is no God but the one God; and if they refrain not from what they say, a painful chastisement shall surely be inflicted on such of them as are unbelievers" (Qur-'an, V. 73)
The letters YHWH occur in the Hebrew (Jewish) Scriptures 6823 times, boast the Jehovah's Witness, and it occurs in combination with the word "ELOHIM" 156 times in the booklet called Genesis alone. This combination YHWH/ELOHIM has been consistently translated in the English Bible as "Lord God," Lord God", "Lord God" adinfinitum. But what is YHWH and what is ELOHIM? YHWH or Yehova or Yahuwa all mean the very same thing ~ "Ya" is a vocative and exclamatory particle in both Hebrew and Arabic, meaning "Oh!" and "Huwa" or "Hu" means "He". Together they mean "Oh He!" so instead of YHWH ELOHIM, we now have "Oh He! ELOHIM" "ELOHIM" = "ELOH + IM".
Now performing an exercise from the words " YA- HUWA ELOH-IM" by putting your left hand index finger on the first two letters "YA" meaning "Oh" and your other index finger on the "IM" a plural of respect, what you now have remaining in "HUWA ELOH" or "HUWA ELAH" where both "EL" and "ELOH/ELAH" in Hebrew means "god".
So finally, "Huwa el Elah" or "HUWA 'L LAH", which is identical to the Quranic expression ~ "HUWAL LAH HU" (meaning: HE IS ALLAH) of the verse
"QUL HUWAL LAH HU AHAD" : meaning: "SAY; HE IS ALLAH, HE IS ONE".
This exercise proves that El, Elah and Elohim are not distinctly different words. They all represent the single Arabic word "ALLAH". This is not my wishful thinking. Please see your English Bible, edited by Rev. C. I. Scofield, D.D.,(Doctor of Divinity, well respected among the Bible scholars of the Christian world) with his bible commentary, No.1 on page 28.
They occur that ~ "Elohim, (sometimes El or Elah meaning God)" and alternatively spelled "Alah" (line three, third word).
All the D.D.'s could not have been blind in dittoing the spelling "Alah" for God. How far were they from the Arabic word "ALLAH" - in English, I ask you my friend?
But unfortunately, the Devils (caps D, he deserved it.) was not slow in making a quick comeback through his agents. The recent reproduction of "The New Scofield Reference Bible", you will not be able to lay your hands anymore on the Bible with "Alah" in it. The Devil has seen to that!. Now, Yacov Rambsel (inspired by the Devil)have started trying to focus the eyes of the millions of "superstitious and credulous" christians by saying that "HIS NAME IS JESUS"?
I have no comment on this book as I know what u'r up to!. God forbit me from it!. Thank you for your time reading this review of mine. It's my duty to tell the truth. Please e-mail me back for any comment. Your friend
Adding Unto The Word?.......2000-06-07
The military found out long ago that if a code could be broken, it could be used to convey both factual as well as misinformation with the express purpose of leading an enemy astray. Mr. Rambsel makes a fine case for "coding" found through Equidistant-Letter Sequence (ELS) in the Bible. His text is positive and if it helps anyone in their walk with the Lord, I will be the first to encourage them. There is however, a very real danger in using this media (coding) to further one's own personal agenda. On page 120, the author cites two very strong warnings given by God written in "plain text." The first in the book of Deuteronomy (4:2) and the second in the book of Revelation (22:18-19). It should be read not once but many times over before you then ask yourself, "Through this new discovery, (ELS), can one be "adding" unto the Word?"
These Hebrew "codes" are subjective........2000-02-06
Because Hebrew may be written without vowel points, a single 3-letter word may be translated several ways, depending on the context or pronunciation of the speaker. Yakov Rambsel makes grammatical mistakes, or chooses to translate his "codes" to fit the meaning he prefers. A few examples: He may ignore pronominal endings: "kadshi" on page 54 is "my," not "his" holiness. He calls "dakar" on page 55(4), a verb: "they have pierced," when it is really "he pierced." It could also be the gerund: "piercing." The name Melchizedek on page 213 should be spelled with a tzadi instead of an ayin. "Messiah, Tabernacle" at the bottom of page 124 could easily be translated, "A messiah lived in a tent." Other code phrases could be interpreted with wild variations. Perhaps an objective editor, a truly Hebrew-speaking professor, would be useful to the author. Although his theology may be genuine, his basic Hebrew errors are discrediting.

Dr. Beck's finest work.......2005-07-30
As a student at Texas Lutheran (where Dr. Beck serves as chair of the Theology department), I am very familiar with Dr. Beck both as a scholar and as a person. Of his assorted works on New Testament theology, this one (IMO) is his finest, most insightful book. I read it for his New Testament Studies course, and now as I am doing my New Testament Theology independent study with him, I find myself referencing it in my assignments because of its unique insight into certain passages of Scripture. This work is a worthwhile read for anyone interested in biblical studies. You might not always see eye-to-eye with Dr. Beck (I sure don't), but his knowledge base and sheer depth of sincere conviction merit great respect.
Beck again is decades ahead of the rest of us!.......1998-05-20
A serious bible scholar does responsible criticism and interpretation of the cryptic biblical material, rather than just looking for the end of the world, Dr. Beck is looking at the text to see what it offers for us. As a student of Dr. Beck, I again say that he is (as he has long been) at least a decade ahead of those around him in so many ways - his understanding of Jewish-Christian relationships, biblical material, and church practices.

The name of Jesus is encoded in virtually every book in the Hebrew text of the Old Testament. In detailed textual analysis of hundreds of Bible passages, Jewish scientist Yascov Rambsel proves the Bible's infallibility by showing how God encrypted His word with the good news of the coming of His Son.

Yeshua and the OT code........2007-03-25
Yacov Rambsel shares some of his discoveries of the Bible code in the biblical Hebrew language.
He finds the name "Yeshua" throughout the OT.He doesn't use the code in any attempt to prophecy the future. He details how the names are located in the related Scripture.
Aside from the work on the code,I also found some of the issues he touched on very interesting.
From a historic point he mentions Bar Kochba and what the Romans did to the Temple Mount in AD71.
Mr.Rambsel shares some new thoughts on the purpose of Elijah and Moses' appearance on the Mount of Transfiguration.Relevant to that topic he discusses the links between Yeshua,Moses, and Elijah in the code.
The author's brief examination of the events of MT.27:50-54 was something that I hadn't considered. This was the resurrection of saints that happened after the crucifixion.
This is a thought-provoking book and it's easy to read.
Food for thought and profound reflection.......2006-03-02
This fascinating book opens with a special foreword by Bible Code investigator Grant R Jeffrey plus a foreword by Yapha Linda Rambsel, wife of the author. A Hebrew Aleph-Bet chart provides the Hebrew letters, the gematria (their numerical values) the phonetics and the meanings.
In the introduction, Rambsel explains that the name Yeshua ha' Mashiach (Hebrew for Jesus the Messiah) appears encoded in every book of the Hebrew Old Testament. To give just a few examples: in Genesis He appears as The Beginning, the promised Redeemer and the Seed of the woman; in Exodus, as the Passover Lamb and the Deliverer; in Leviticus, as the High Priest; in Numbers, as the Pillar of Cloud and Fire and the Manna from on high; in Ruth as the Kinsman Redeemer; in Ezra as the Faithful Scribe and in Psalms as Lord and Shepherd, High Tower and the Rock of our Salvation.
In the New Covenant (New Testament), the characteristics of Jesus are given in all of the books too, for example the Great Physician in James, the Chief Shepherd in I Peter and The Lord of Hosts in Jude.
The system of analysis or the technique used to find the encoded words is explained clearly. It is called equi-distant sequence and it means that the amount of Hebrew letters are counted that are equally distributed and which forms a logical word, phrase or sentence of a name, place or thing.
The 12 chapters are titled: Yeshua In The First Word, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Appointments Of Yeshua, Yeshua In The First Covenant, The Laws Of Probability, The Forerunner, Chastening And Blessing, A Remnant Saved, and He Ascended On High. Throughout the text, the verses are given in Hebrew script, transliterated phonetic Hebrew and in English, and every instance where the name Yeshua appears is discussed in relation to other relevant passages of scripture in both the Old and New Testaments.
In the conclusion: He Came And He Is Coming Again, the author examines various prophecies from inter alia Chronicles, Hebrews, Revelation, Isaiah, John and Hosea. He points out that the Hebrew gematria of Hosea 4:1 equals 1948 - the date on the Gregorian calendar when modern Israel became a sovereign nation.
The Appendix: Yeshua's First Coming, provides a long list of prophecies fulfilled by Jesus. Both the original prophecies and their fulfilment are given with the relevant scriptural verses. The book concludes with a bibliography.
The Bible Codes phenomenon has generated much controversy but it cannot be lightly dismissed. Further investigation is needed, but this compelling book deals with more than just codes. It also points out many other open correspondences between the Old and New Testament and investigates the meaning of the Hebrew gematria in significant passages of scripture.
Rambsel's style is clear and engaging, making the text easy to understand and quite compelling. Bible believing Christians will find the book a gem of wisdom, with insights and revelations on nearly every page. Even those who do not believe in the existence of hidden codes will find much to treasure in this little book.
I also recommend Restoring The Jewishness Of The Gospel: A Message To Christians by David H Stern, Understanding The Difficult Words of Jesus by David Bivin, Our Hands Are Stained With Blood by Michael L Brown, Yeshua by Ron Moseley and Your People Shall Be My People by Don Finto. May the reader be blessed with insight and understanding.
a Masterful revelation of the Jesus in the Old Testament.......2001-12-26
My boss lent me his copy of this book as I was searching for answers about the Trinity while I was reading James R. White's The Forgotten Trinity. While I read these two books simultaneously and I recognized that I was reading Rambsel's book for pleasure and as a break from White's intense look at the Trinity. I learned so much more about the foretelling of Jesus in the Old Testament. The Jewish perspective on the God/Man through the stories in Genesis were even more enriching to me than the knowledge of secret codes placed there by God. I got the feeling that the codes were put in by God to tell those who put more faith in Science than in Spirit a special message: "I'm here!" I believe some of the television specials on the "Bible Code" do a better job on explaining it than this book. I learned so much though and was amazed so often that I'm still giving it 5 stars enthusiastically. My boss let me keep the book since I loved it so much.
Shouting.......2001-06-28
Please could the previous reviewer learn to stop shouting (use lower case) as it's very hard to read. Thanks.

Book Description
"Eating the Big Fish is on fire with ideas.
Best in the marketplace." -Steve Hayden, President, Worldwide Brand Services, Ogilvy & Mather
"In 1986, the Levi's® Dockers® brand challenged the biggest fish in the men's apparel sea, Haggar. And we beat the pants off them! In his new book, Adam Morgan adroitly presents many of the same fundamental marketing principles which worked so well for us. A must read for marketing professionals." -Steve Goldstein, V.P. Marketing & Research, Levi's Brand U.S.A.
Years ago, Avis was a little fish in the car rental industry. Fearing the company would be swallowed up if they didn't "try harder," Avis boldly announced its #2 status to the world through advertising-and the rest is history. Why has this approach become a marketing legend? Because there are more people who can relate to being #2, 3, or even 4, than can claim they know what it's like to be the Big Fish.
There are plenty of little fish out there, circling in schools around the brand leaders they so desperately wish to surpass. Squeezed by new competition, a retreating consumer, and aggressive retailing practices, marketers of second- and third-rank brands are struggling to survive in a business environment where they have fewer resources and less control than ever before. But instead of watching-and copying-every move the Big Fish makes, these "Challenger" brands need their own set of marketing rules if they have any hopes of staying afloat and competing effectively against the leader.
Eating the Big Fish is the first book that sets out to define those rules. Adam Morgan offers an innovative mental and strategic framework for those who find themselves in this new, hostile middle ground, looking for aggressive growth against the market leader. Morgan, the Joint European Planning Director of TBWA (the international advertising agency behind the campaigns for such brands as Absolut vodka, Apple computers, and Sony Playstation), has examined in detail forty of the most successful Challenger brands of the last ten years -new or relaunched brands which have achieved rapid growth (and fame) with limited marketing resources. He outlines the reasons why Challengers must think differently in order to survive, offering hands-on advice, plentiful examples, and invaluable information to help a Challenger learn how to swim out of the shadow of the Big Fish.
At the heart of the book are the Eight Credos of Challenger Brands -Morgan's analysis of the common marketing strands that these Challengers seem to share, which range in scope from the need to project who you are and what you believe in (#2, Build a Lighthouse Identity) to insights about the organizational structure and focus in such companies and brands (#8, Become Idea-Centered, Rather Than Consumer-Centered). Morgan fully analyzes each Credo, discussing in detail the marketing strategy and behavior of the specific Challenger brands that have shaped the rules. He provides case studies that include both his agency's clients and other well-known brands, such as Lexus, Oakley, Fox TV, Energizer, Virgin Atlantic, Swatch, Nissan, and more. Morgan then draws the Credos together into a "Challenger Strategic Program" that can be applied to the reader's own market and brand challenge, offering a proposed outline for a two-day Off-Site Program that will attempt to kick-start the Challenger process for a core group within any marketing or management team. In addition, Morgan looks at the great Challengers of the last ten years who have gone on to become brand leaders, and shows how even the rules of brand leadership have changed -why staying #1 now means, in fact, thinking and behaving like a #2.
Anyone can follow a leader. It takes a smart company to go up against the Big Fish, and Morgan's innovative, strategic program will show even the littlest fish how to make a meal out of the competition.

fantastic read.......2006-07-21
This book did great things for my understanding of a challenger brands greatest strengths and strategies. Not to turn this into a forum, I have a few questions though: Does anyone know more about Adam Morgan? Did he work for TBWA? Any other agencies? What was his discipline? Any info would help.
one of the best marketing books available .......2005-08-31
I own (oooooh) probably between 80 and 100 books on marketing, some are obligatory read for my masters in marketing, some are handpicked in stores and on amazon and I stand by the title of my review. What can you take out from this book: YOU CAN compete with big brands, there are attitudes and ways of running your business that can knock down the goliath in your industry, and this book explains how, giving numerous examples from various industries. Only negative, if I can call it that, is author's writing style, which was rather hard for me, but then again, I am croatian, so it could be my english, not mr Morgan's :). A MUST!! have.
Demolish the 3-piece suits that stand in your way.......2005-08-09
I don't know how to explain the insightful ideas I have taken from this book.
I have read tens of books on branding and how to gain a competitive advantage, yet none were as ground breaking as "Eating the Big Fish".
While others will tell you "what" marketing approaches they used...this one explains the "why".
I got my copy almost free using a coupon from UnderTag.com
Insightful!.......2004-06-09
Author Adam Morgan went hunting for the second most successful brands. He sought commonalities among them to develop guidelines for those who are challenging the number one brands in their fields. In other words, if you are coming into the battle in the number two slot, here's your strategy for winning the marketing wars. Morgan is very adept at breaking things down into precise action steps. Witty and engaging, he offers a detailed analysis of the current consumer attitude about brands plus strategies you can use to market your second or third rank brand. We recommend this compilation of competitive ideas to those who want to boost their "Challenger" brands.
