Book Description
ARCHIE & EDITH, MIKE & GLORIA tells the complete story of the most widely viewed and perhaps the most controversial sitcom series in the history of television-the show that dared to take on race, religion, politics, and sex and make us laugh at the same time. Packed with photos, the book captures the Bunker mentality and traces the Bunker legacy through thirteen years on prime time.

A MUST FOR ARCHIE BUNKER FANS.......2006-01-31
I love this book. One of my all time favourite shows. With it's share of hilarious episodes as well as mind boggling episodes."Archie Is Branded"and"Edith's 50th Birthday"were two episodes that I found to be frightening. This book has everything you want to know about All In The Family. With an episode guide included.I highly recommend it.
Archie and Edith, Mike and Gloria.......2002-04-25
Excellent reading for any All in The Family fan. When this show first came out I was too young to remember but love to watch the reruns over and over.
Boy the Way Glenn Miller Played, books that are a hit today!.......2001-05-07
I thought while reading this book how thoroughly done it was. I thought about how much I loved All in the Family, how connected I felt to each character, how I identified with Mike, Gloria, Edith and even Archie. How real it was to me. When a piece of literature, brings back all of those feelings and memories, it is something to remember. Pictures, stories, Archie-isms and an episode guide are just a few things that make up this book. I recommend it to all Archie Bunker fans and haters alike. This book is one of the best documentations of characters you love to hate, that I have ever come across.
A Portrait of the Family that Changed TV and Beyond !.......2000-10-25
First there was Duffy's Tavern, then the Honeymooners, (Til Death Do Us Part in the UK) and before Moe's Tavern was ALL IN THE FAMILY. The enormous impact this show had on American society with its controversial subject content and very un-Father Knows Best language and worldview is unquestionable. It was the show that could anger and shock you and drive you to tears one moment, and in the blink of an eye, have you rolling on the floor in laughter. It was one of the first shows to deal with Women's Issues, Bigotry - - no topic was too controversial. This book will help you appreciate it... and yes, it has an episode guide, the trivia and all that stuff too. It was the show that made us look at ourselves and sparked passionate arguements. This is a fascinating, yet incredibly readable history of the show, balancing between sociological analysis and the stuff that any true fan or addict would want to know. Thumbs up for TV fans, and people like me who grew up on it and were deeply effected by the episodes.
Very Interesting.......1999-02-15
If you love the show ALL IN THE FAMILY like I do you will find this book very interesting. It gave you a better outlook of how the show was written and why. It told of the actors and what they gave to the show. It told of how CARROLL O'CONNOR really had to fight the producers and writes to make it the show that it became. It was because of Carroll O'Connor that the other actors finally spoke up and they all worked together. This book proves that it was CARROLL O'CONNOR that really made All In The Family.Everyone needs to read this book and they will come away with a better outlook of the show.

For most children, summer vacation is something to look forward to. But not for our 13-year-old hero, who's forced to spend his summers with an aunt, uncle, and cousin who detest him. The third book in J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series catapults into action when the young wizard "accidentally" causes the Dursleys' dreadful visitor Aunt Marge to inflate like a monstrous balloon and drift up to the ceiling. Fearing punishment from Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon (and from officials at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry who strictly forbid students to cast spells in the nonmagic world of Muggles), Harry lunges out into the darkness with his heavy trunk and his owl Hedwig.
As it turns out, Harry isn't punished at all for his errant wizardry. Instead he is mysteriously rescued from his Muggle neighborhood and whisked off in a triple-decker, violently purple bus to spend the remaining weeks of summer in a friendly inn called the Leaky Cauldron. What Harry has to face as he begins his third year at Hogwarts explains why the officials let him off easily. It seems that Sirius Black--an escaped convict from the prison of Azkaban--is on the loose. Not only that, but he's after Harry Potter. But why? And why do the Dementors, the guards hired to protect him, chill Harry's very heart when others are unaffected? Once again, Rowling has created a mystery that will have children and adults cheering, not to mention standing in line for her next book. Fortunately, there are four more in the works. Book Description
Read by Jim Dale
Running time: 11 hrs., 48 mins. 10 CDs.
For twelve long years, the dread fortress of Azkaban held an infamous prisoner named Sirius Black. Convicted of killing thirteen people with a single curse, he was said to be the heir apparent to the Dark Lord, Voldemort.
Now he has escaped, leaving only two clues as to where he might be headed: Harry Potter's defeat of You-Know-Who was Black's downfall as well. And the Azkban guards heard Black muttering in his sleep, "He's at Hogwarts...he's at Hogwarts."
Harry Potter isn't safe, not even within the walls of his magical school, surrounded by his friends. Because on top of it all, there may well be a traitor in their midst.

Great service!.......2007-09-27
I was in great need of this book as I was new to the world of Harry Potter and couldn't wait to continue after reading Chamber of Secrets. The timing was perfect!
the worst of the bunch.......2007-09-24
Don't let my title deceive you. This is still a great book but in comparison to the others it was a slight stepback. The book is still very entertaining and a necessity for the progression of the story. I just wasn't sucked in as fast or left wanting more as i was with the first 2 and with book 4 (sorry haven't finished the series just yet). I've been told by a few others that have finished the series that this is the worst and if thats the case then it should speak volumes of how well the rest of the books are.
Excelent!!!.......2007-09-16
This is third book from this great Saga, we meet Sirius black, Remus lupin and peter is this great, they are super!!!
Another masterpiece.......2007-09-12
I do not think there is a need to rate the story itself considering the immense popularity of it. This review is for those who produced the audio book.
Like in the two Harry Potter stories before this one, Jim Dale and company do an excellent job of relating this tale. Mr. Dale has an amazing range of voices and never misses a beat as he hops from one character to another. The listener forgets Mr. Dale is the lone reader and is immediately immersed in the story. Buy this, listen, and then watch the movie.
The Prisoner of Azkaban.......2007-09-11
A magic bus filled with beds, a huge black dog, creatures known as dementures, a Hippogriff, and a mass murderer apparently bent on killing him are just a few of the things that Harry has to deal with in his second year at Hogwarts.
Harry goes on the run during the summer, fleeing from his Aunt and Uncle after accidentally blowing up another of his horrid relatives like a big balloon. He is picked up by the Knight Bus, a triple decker wizardly bus that runs around giving a lift to Wizards and Witches. He then meets with the Minister of Magic, who takes the whole accidental blowing up of Harry's Aunt very lightly, shrugging it off as an accident, much to Harry's relief. Yet once school starts he learns news that is very distressing. Notorious mass murderer, Serius Black, has escaped from the high security Wizard prison of Azkaban, and all the signs point that he is coming after Harry! Again, JK Rowling has created another spellbinding masterpiece.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Coloring Book.......2007-01-10
I purchased this item for my Grandson, and he loved it!
Thank you
Made for a rainy day.......2006-03-28
The perfect companion to the movie on a rainy day!!!
Okay - no text!.......2005-09-13
The coloring book doesn't have any text to go along with the pictures - okay if you know what's happening or you want to make up your own story. I think this is great for older kids who know all the story lines, but it's difficult to explain to a 5-year old who knows the Harry Potter basics but not the character names or the significance of a particular picture. I read the books myself, but I can't remember all the details he likes to drill me on!
The good news is kids can use their imaginations, and there is a lot of detail to color which holds their attention and strengthens fine motor skills.
Good for younger fans.......2005-07-25
Bought this for my 5-yr old's b-day, also. She will enjoy it!
It's a great coloring book.......2005-01-27
Sure, it could have been much bigger and included way more pictures, but the people all look like who they're supposed to be and there is enough detail to color to interest older colorers. I've seen many coloring books that have horrible likenesses. This one is fun and better than most and it's certainly cheap enough.

Great Set of Books.......2007-08-15
I wanted to have the hard copies of these books to pass on to my kids and this is an excellent collection.
Worth reading, overall,.......2006-07-03
I read these books when I was about nine or ten. And I was totally, utterly, and completely in love.
And then I reread them now as twelve year old, and they have degraded. The plot and the characters are ultimately lovable, though it becomes a bit too repetitive in the fifth and sixth book. But I'm actually quite proud of how the characters have developed from the first one; they are 3D, dimensional, lovable, and almost believable. (though I find Draco Malfoy is just too...cliche-bad-boy-unbelievable)
It's mostly J.K. Rowling's writing style. I like fresh, appealing descriptions, not so much the "and there was a chair in the room and a small boy and another boy and..." (Okay, I just made that sentence up. But still. I find that to sorta be her style... lists and not descriptions.)
Still, if not just for the characters - I'd read it.
Don't you dare put it down!.......2005-07-24
WOW- I absolutly FELL IN LOVE with these books, and all because of how good the first one was. Some people may say that if you read the first couple of pages of a book, and it doesn't really "light your fire" then don't bother with the rest. I BEG to differ! The first chapter of Harry Potter #1 might make little sense to one, until you have read farther along into it. I know I didn't really "get it" at first, but I kept reading. So don't listen to those people who say don't bother!
Because this is one of the best series of books ever written. Right up there with "The Hobbit"- that's something big. And for those who are worried about their children learning bad lessons from Harry, about sneaking around, keeping secrets, witchcraft?!?!, ; people, just relax. Don't over anyalse it, (it's a BOOK! not some devil worshipping cult, I still can't get over how some people are so prejeduced against it and won't even read it because they think it will "corrupt their children" and think that Harry Potter will lead them down the not-so-primrosed path. Qualities of loyalty, honour, love, friendship, and good against evil are very prominent, and clear to see in these books.
I think everyone will enjoy these books entirely! They're not just children's books, they're books that everyone can read and benefit from.
If I could rate this book ( and it's series ) as 10 stars, I would!
simply the best..........2005-03-31
cant help but to give two thumbs up...it's nice to read a story about a mother's love, great friendship, story with a twist and humor and most especially with a plot and setting that definitely would take your imaginations to the highest level in one package...so hold on to your seats and be ready for the stories that this extraordinaire would leave you spellbound!!!
What can I say?.......2005-03-19
It's Harry Potter, what can I say? It's the series that got kids reading again. Everyone knows the plot. A boy wizard named Harry grew up with his cruel muggle (non-magic) aunt and uncle after his parents were killed in a car crash. At the age of 11 he's informed that he's a wizard, and that an evil wizard named Lord Voldemort murdered his parents and very nearly killed him. His aunt and uncle dissaproved of the world of magic and tried to keep everything a secret from Harry. He's taken away to live at a castle called Hogwarts, a school for young witches and wizards where he befriends the studious, proper Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasly, a poor boy who lives in the shadow of his brothers Charlie, Percy, Bill, and Fred and George. In book 1, Harry arrives at Hogwarts and finds that someone there is secretly trying to destroy him and is hiding a VERY big secret from the rest of the school.
In book 2, an unknown assailant is attacking students and everyone thinks Harry's doing it. We learn that no less than THREE characters are not what they seem. We are also introduced to Ron's younger sister Ginny, who has a crush on Harry.
In book 3, a murderous madman is on the loose and seems to be coming after Harry. But who, exactly is he? And the very LAST character you'd ever suspect of being evil reveals his true self.
In book 4, Harry is enrolled in the Triwizard Tournament, where three different magical schools select students to compete in daring, dangerous tests of school. Harry also attends the Quidditch world cup with the Weasleys and has a frightening run in with Voldemort and his servant in a graveyard. One character is tragically killed (I actually cried) at Voldemort's hand.
Book 4 is probably my favorite, along with 1, but there's really no such thing as a bad Harry Potter book. The movies are fantastic as well, and the sixth book is due out in a few months.

Garri Potter i uznik Azkabana.......2005-09-05
Everything went well and the product is in excellent condition.
Good translation!.......2004-04-13
The first Harry Potter book in Russian was truly dreadful, but Uznik, in contrast, is extremely well translated. It keeps much of the flair of the original while flowing naturally in Russian. An enjoyable read, sure not to disappoint those who loved the series in English.
Book Description
"The Chamber of Cheesecakes has been opened. Dieter's Beware!" reads the sinister warning in this hysterical parody of J.K. Rowling's "Harry Potter" series. In this farce all of your favorite Harry Potter characters, places, and past events have been twisted around with devilish wit. You'll follow the adventures of Harry Putter, Ron Cheesley, and Hermione Stranger in their sixth year at school, seventh if you count preschool. While some of the encounters are spoofs reminiscent of the original tales, others are new, keeping the storyline fresh and unpredictable. If you like the original Harry Potter series, you'll love this crazy parody.
This book is suitable for children of all ages.

This is not the Harry you've read about!.......2007-04-12
We bought this a while ago and we loved it. Knowing the original "Potter" stories made it even better. My two older daughters thought it was hilarious, and my youngest just started reading it as well. We only wish the series was longer!
