Download Description

'Rich Dad's CASHFLOW Quadrant' will reveal why some people work less, earn more, pay less in taxes, and feel more financially secure than others. It is simply a matter of knowing which quadrant to work from and when. Have you ever wondered . . .· What is the difference between an employee and a business owner? · Why do some investors make money with little risk while most other investors just break even? · Why do most employees go from job to job while others quit their jobs and go on to build business empires· Why, in the Industrial Age, did most parents want their children to become medical doctors, accountants, or attorneys . . . and why, in the Information Age, are these professions under financial attack? Have you noticed that many of the brightest graduates from our universities want to work for college dropouts . . . dropouts such as Bill Gates, Richard Branson, Michael Dell, and Ted Turner? Dropouts who today are the mega-rich of society. This book will answer some of these questions and also assist in guiding you to find your own path to financial freedom in a world of ever-increasing financial change. It is a book written for . . .· people who are ready to move beyond job security and begin to find their own world of financial freedom · people who are ready to make deep professional and financial changes in their lives· people who are ready to move from the Industrial Age to the Information Age It's time to get out of the rat race. 'Rich Dad's CASHFLOW Quadrant' shows you how.

5 out of 5 stars I am currently following his advice.......2007-08-08

This book opened my eyes. It seems that everything he says is common sense, but the way he taught it really inspired me. After reading his book I decided to stop being an employee and move to the self-employed quadrant. I started my own corporation and I now have enough money to start investing in Real Estate following another of his books. I highly recommend this book to everybody.

5 out of 5 stars Very Informative And A Highly Recommended Reading For EVERYONE.......2007-08-08

This one book from Robert T. Kiyosaki really opened my mind and eyes, I will have to read it again & yet again to really get a complete understanding of the Information he has in this book, And anyone that says reading it once is enough, READ It again and you will be surprised at what pops up out of the pages as do read this book. So If you are truely tired of the old RAT RACE and feel there is got to be a better way then read this book.

From the supplier: Federal and state income taxes of small businesses can be minimized through the use of a linear optimizing model. Based on the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, the model applies to Subchapter S Corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships and sole proprietorships. Taxes are computed based on a company's cash flow budget. Small business failures due to poor financial management and overtaxation can thus be reduced.

SPSS is increasingly commanding a large share of the market for statistical analysis. Whilst its not regarding as a 'serious' application by statisticians is is nevertheless widely used.
This book is very useful for those who like myself have a reasonable grounding in statistical method, without the extensive maths background (my eyes glaze over after more than 10 seconds of looking at complex multilevel equations full of greek symbols!)
It gives a comprehensive 'how to' in using the latest iteration of SPSS, as well as some information on output interpretation.
For students in the Social Sciences up to PhD level this can be a very useful book to have in your statistical library (along with SPSS for Dummies, etc)

                      Book Description

"Raymond Mark has extended his choreography of a modern ballet of social work research, continuing to combine the classical integrity of statistical techniques with the latest problems of planning and implementation, a kind of researcher's 'rodeo.'. . . One hopes this book's use as a teaching instrument, and its application as a research stimulus and guide, will encourage both students and practitioners to work harder at achieving a sounder integration of theory and practice in social work." --from the Foreword by Chauncey A. Alexander Designed to provide students with a nontechnical, easy-to-understand guide, Research Made Simple will help relieve the anxiety often associated with research methods courses. Author Raymond Mark provides the raw materials that will allow students to read a research report, understand its findings, and judge the accuracy of its conclusion. This concise, practical volume covers the full range of material presented in most social science research methods courses, but can also be used as a "how-to" guide for professionals on the basics of the research process. The topics covered range from basic concepts about the scientific method, fundamental terms, and the initial steps of the research process, to developing and implementing a complete research plan. Separate in-depth chapters discuss research ethics, qualitative approaches, program evaluation, statistical hypothesis testing, and computer applications for researchers. A unique feature of this volume is the presence of an entire chapter devoted to gender- and culture-sensitive research that addresses the increasing need for diversity in research. Each chapter concludes with end-of-chapter discussion questions and short assignments for review. Equipped with tables, appendixes, and a glossary, this user-friendly volume will make research methods highly approachable. Research Made Simple will prove to be an invaluable resource for beginning classes in research methods at both undergraduate and graduate levels, and it will provide a solid foundation for those pursuing advanced studies of research methods.

                        4 out of 5 stars a great review.......2005-10-27

I have to contradict the one star review. I have had stats classes but keep forgetting how to use stats. This book provides a quick, simple refresher. Yes, there are mathematical formulas, but I don't think you can explain stats without them and the book explains each formula in words. I think I'm getting more usable info out of this book than out of my classes.

1 out of 5 stars Nothing Simple About It.......2001-03-27

If you were looking for a text based definition of the concepts behind basic statistical methods, this book will sorely disappoint you. Although less dense than a stats textbook, and composed of sections that address just the methods you missed the first time around, if it's the overwhelming presence of numbers and formulas that confused you in class, this book will be little help.

If you are already familiar with statistical methods, and want more suggestions on how to conduct a study, or practice on particular problems, this may be an appropriate book for you. I'm still looking for an intelligent discussion of concepts that isn't contained in a book with Dummies or Idiots plastered across the cover.

Most statistical books are focused on statistical theory versus application, but Statistics Made Simple for School Leaders presents statistics in a simple, practical, conceptual, and immediately applicable manner. It enables administrators to take their data and manage it into strategic information so the results can be used for action plans that benefit the school system. The approach is user friendly and leaves the reader with a confident can-do attitude to communicate results and plans to staff and the community.

                              Book Description

This new edition incorporates recent developments in SPSS (and in Windows) by drawing upon screen images, dialog boxes and output from SPSS 8 in the Windows 95 environment. A feature of SPSS 8 is the new, powerful Viewer output manager, which enables the user to produce better tables, charts and graphs by affording greater editorial control over both content and appearance than was possible in previous versions.
The first six chapters (on data handling and exploration, graph plotting and two-sample statistical tests) and the associated exercises provide an introduction to the basics of working with SPSS, while the remaining chapters cover more advanced topics such as various ANOVA designs, correlation and regression, loglinear analysis, discriminant anlysis and factor analysis.
In response to the comments of readers worldwide, the authors have expanded sections on the inputting and exploration of data, graphical procedures and advice on choosing appropriate statistical tests. The remaining chapters have also been revised. Where appropriate, chapters include images of dialog boxes, output listings and exercises for student courses.

4 out of 5 stars The key to successful number crunching.......2000-05-25

As a person in higher education, I have witnessed the common occurence of students needing to use SPSS for their Intro Stats classes, but not knowing how to get started or if they are using the program appropriately. After looking at other manuals to provide this assistance, I really believe that this manual is the best one out there! It has nice algorithmic steps for the application challenged and it provides nice examples to help ensure that you are using the appropriate tests. Since the SPSS program is so user friendly, students may go pal mal through the program and not fully understand what tests they are running and what their output means. I think that this manual provides a nice bridge for this potential gap.

The manual is in need of a rewrite however, as the SPSS program has been updated since the books release. I would also liked to see some samples of how to interpret the data output for a couple of the tests.
