Dogs are worth it!.......2000-07-25
I thought that it was a very funny book and I liked how it had all of the Peanuts characters. I am a Peanuts fanatic and I have a lot of Peanuts books, but this is still one of my favorites.
It's True.......2000-01-05
It's true, Dogs Are Worth It! No one can put a smile on your face like Schulz can. I purchased my copy to give as a gift but I wasn't able to give it up.
This Is No Dog And It Is Well Worth It!.......1999-07-08
A wonderful book in a new series featuring one year's worth of strips in a single volume. Do yourself a favor and buy them all. Mr Schulz is one of the greatest cartoonists of all time and he has been doing this for five decades, now.

Nice story Book for Kids.......2006-08-09
This is written in prose form as opposed to Charles Schulz' comic strip style. Still, children will like it, especially if you read it to them. I read it to myself, and I liked it very much, and I'm no kid. This was purchased originally as a gift, but, instead, I think I'll gift myself with it.
peanuts holiday treasury.......2006-02-24
I thoroughly enjoyed this book on peanuts. Whenever I feel a bit fed up I just take out one of my peanut books and thats enough to put me back on track.

A whole year of Peanuts gang! Now, That's Profound, Charlie Brown.

4 1/2 Oh, Gilligan! A WHOLE YEAR OF PEANUTS!!.......2002-12-08
Here it is, a book which contains all of the Peanuts cartoons created in the year 1991. Some jokes come out flat, but most get smiles, chuckles, or even out-loud laughter for their creativity, orignality..and a good punchline always helps.
Sure, computer-generated strips are the new thing, but you can't really mess with the strip that changed comics...
Good times had by all.......2002-02-22
If you know anything about the Peanuts Gang, you cannot help but lve them. In this collection Schulz, has outdone himself again. Anyone seeking a good laugh or a smile brought to a cloudy day should take a look at this.
That really is profound.......2000-08-22
This is a most charming collection of the antics of the round-headed kid we all love. With comics from a year's worth of newspapers, including the Sundays, you'll have enough to read to keep you entertained, over and over again. Not only are the Peanuts Gang funny, but inspiring, touching, sad, and as the title indicates, sometimes even profound. With Linus' wise advice, Lucy's sassy attitude, and Snoopy's admirable imagination, Charles Shulz' creations give us insight to the most enigmatical yet simplest part of our lives: our childhoods. Read the comics once and laugh, but read them again, look into the words more, and see the other emotions buried underneath. Charles Shulz was truly a genius, and the world will miss him.
almost everyone is like Charlie Brown!.......2000-04-21
I could not put this book down. A whole year of this comic is so funny. i know that i can relate to everyone of the penuts gang.
I couldn't put it down! Good grief!.......2000-01-27
I enjoyed this so much that I read it in one sitting. I never realized how much more enyoyable the Peanuts strips would be when you read them one after another, rather than one-a-day!
Book Description
As the creator of Peanuts, the world's most widely read comic strip, Charles Schulz (1922-2000) touched the hearts and funny bones of millions of people, with his work appearing in more than two thousand newspapers around the world and translated into twenty-one languages. Through such lovable characters as Charlie Brown and Snoopy (not to mention the rest of the Peanuts gang), Schulz created, in the words of Doonesbury cartoonist Garry Trudeau, "the uncontested gold standard for comics," and paved the road for future cartoonists. The Peanuts Treasury is a fitting testimony to Charles Schulz's enduring legacy and will stand for years to come as a loving tribute to one of the most influential cartoonists of all time.

A favorite.......2004-12-21
This is definitely one of my favorite Peanuts collections. I pretty much grew up reading this book. Over the years, it had been read so much that it had fallen apart. I was so happy to see this book in the stores again. If you're a Peanuts fan like I am, this book is a must have for your collection.
Peanuts Treasury is NOT the same as Peanuts Treasury.......2004-12-01
Apparently there has been a mix-up: The two "editions" of this book DON'T correspond to each other. I've bought the paperback one, and it does not contain some of the strips mentioned in the review section.
The Wonderful World of Peanuts.......2004-02-11
This is a great book for any Peanuts fan to add to their Peanuts memorabilia collection. I have been a huge fan of Snoopy and the rest of the Peanuts gangs since I was a child, but somehow Charles Schulz's Snoopy comics have a universal, timeless essence that appeals to people of all ages. Even in my 20's I still enjoying collecting Peanuts memorabilia, and I would recommend adding this book to top of your collection.
One of the best!.......2003-04-27
This is a highly worthwhile "Peanuts" collection, as it's an unusually [inexpensive] but vast collection of late 50s-early/mid-60s strips that you don't often find in new books, with a lot of wonderful strips in it, and an effort to group them into their original storylines (where applicable) - Sally is born, and Charlie Brown rejoices ("I'm a father!" - and Linus tells Lucy, "You didn't act like that when I was born,") . . . Lucy buries Linus' blanket to prompt him to kick the habit, and Linus is plagued with withdrawal symptoms ("That's the first time I ever dreamed of Hyannis Port!") . . . Linus freaks out when Lucy assigns him to sing "Jingle Bells" at the PTA Christmas pageant - then the new year's pageant ("I will not run around the stage holding a banner reading '1964'!") . . . and, perhaps best, the first time Sally joins Linus in the pumpkin patch - and it's much, much funnier than the TV version ("YOU OWE ME RESTITUTION!!") . . . among many, many others. But anyway, this may be nostalgic for you, too, and even if not, it's still a wonderful book. It's definitely worth it!
Better than most of the other '60s Peanuts collections.......2003-02-22
Until a few years ago, Peanuts Classics collections were very hard to find except in your local library. But Peanuts Treasury is much better than most of those-better than most of the `60s collections, anyway. Not to say that the Classics books aren't good, but several of the books repeat strips, print the pages backwards, or even repeat stories (or parts of stories). But this collection doesn't do that. Not only that, but this book has about three times as many more pages AND there are more strips per page (five instead of two). A few of the stories aren't finished in this book either, but nevertheless it's a great collection.

Great Peanuts Book.......2005-09-15
This book turned out to be better than I thought. I was expecting a thin paperback, but it is chock full of delightful Peanuts Gang antics. A Great Deal!!
AWESOME!.......2004-10-23
This was the best PEANUTS book I have ever read! All my friends wanted to borrow it from me but I told them that they could get a copy on www.amazon.com.
A neat collection.......2000-07-17
This book is great. It shows most of the Peanuts strips for the year of 1992. It has some awesome strips, like the one where it shows Marcie without her glasses, something I had never seen before(her eyes look just like everybody else's). The only complaint that I have is that it doesn't show most of the Sunday strips in the year. But other than that, this book is a great collection for any Peanuts fan!
Not Your Average Blockhead.......1999-08-18
Another great collection of Peanuts strips. A single year's worth in a single volume. Hundreds of laughs that will tug your heart.

The Curious Incident of the Beagle in the Nighttime.......2004-07-06
There can't be too many people who haven't heard of Charlie Brown and his crazy beagle, Snoopy. This compilation, first published in 1999, features the duo and the rest of the Peanuts gang - including Charlie's little sister, Sally, hard-hearted Lucy, Linus and his security blanket, Peppermint Patti and the 'excessively weird' Marcie.
The main highlights of this book, for me, were the sections that focus on Snoopy. A very imaginative dog, his escapades as a GI, a World War One flying ace and a member of the French Foreign Legion are touched on. His adventures see him join Charlie on a trip to summer camp, and he attempts - several times - to write that elusive best selling novel. Snoopy's sporting abilities are also in evidence, as a golfer and as the shortstop on Charlie Brown's baseball team - which, admittedly, seems to be on a never-ending losing streak. Snoopy's trusty sidekick, Woodstock, also appears. A little of Woodstock's ancestry is revealed when the duo discover a cage that Woodstock's grandfather had briefly lived in. Snoopy also comes down with pneumonia in this book and has to go to hospital. While a patient, his visitors include his brothers Andy, Spike and Olaf.
For me, Peanuts is the best cartoon strip around - it sets the standard and is guaranteed quality. In fact, the only thing it left me wishing for is more !
The world is better with Charles Schulz.......2000-06-24
The familiar little round-headed Charlie Brown has become a world-wide cultural figure since his creation, as has all of Schulz's other characters. The Peanuts gang not only brings laughs to its readers, but every comic has a deeper profound statement. His comedy more than simple slapstick, Schulz brings to life the pains and joys of childhood; messages of inspiration and hope and illustrated through loveable characters like Snoopy and Linus. Charlie Brown (based on Schulz's own childhood) is a perfect demonstration that no matter how many times things mess up, you should always try to kick that football or write that letter to the little red-haired girl.
The World is Full of Mondays is well-arranged, with enough comic strips to keep you laughing (with sometimes a tear or two in between) through many readings. With a tasteful mixture of color and black-and-white comics, along with sections arranged by subject, this is a beautiful collection that should be transcended from generation to generation (and not always in order from oldest to youngest.)
Charles Schulz, you have made the world a better place for many people. We will miss you.
The World Is Filled with Mondays...and Baseball!.......2000-05-11
This has Peanuts comic strips from 1994. When I first read this book, I laughed for a long time! It was also my first Peanuts book and now I am hooked!

Great Bag Full Of Peanuts!.......1999-07-04
More Peanuts classics featuring Charlie Brown and the gang. This is a great series because it contains a full year's worth of strips in a single volume. Highly recommended and they should put out more of these books, especially one that cover the years 1955-1970.

Best Baseball Book Ever Read.......2007-08-07
This is undoubtedly the best sports book I have ever read. I can recite almost all the stories in it without missing a beat and yet it is still great reading material for me whether it be in the afternoon or if as a bed time reader. There is insight into the lives players who lived in a simpler time. They are told in a great fashion of short stories, most being about three paragraphs long. The longest stories are about a page but run together in a well devised thought line. Photographs are put throughout the book give solid back up to make the outlandish stories believable.
Mr. Cataneo does an amazing job of endearing the reader to the likes of lesser known characters of the game such as ace pitcher Rube Waddell, minor league nut job John King and umpire Bill Klem.
My only quibble with the book is that some of the Boston stories are forced into it. Many of them are not of the quality of their non Boston stories. (I'm not a Yankees fan, I swear.) Despite this the book is still the favorite in my house and a MUST BUY for any baseball fan.
Great baseball book.......2000-06-14
I have a great time reading the stories in this collection both for myself and my son. The stories are short enough to keep his attention and it can be read in snippets so it is perfect fo those times when you are just looking for something to fill some down time. It is also fun to take the ballpark for in between innings. It is pefect for the fan who likes to learn about the little stuff that goes on in baseball both behind the scenes and in the newspaper.

Fun gift.......2006-12-14
Make sure you give this to someone with a sense of humor, but it is a great gift if not taken seriously. If someone is expecting working voodoo here, this isn't intended for that purpose. It's just a comical way to say you understand when someone else is frustrated in the work place.
