Agricultural Trade Conflicts and Gatt: New Dimensions in U.S.-European Agricultural Trade Relations

To what extent do domestic politics affect the agreement reached in an international trade negotiation? In order to address this question, Christopher C. Meyerson develops an approach to analyzing the relationship between domestic politics and international relations in trade policymaking. This approach is used to analyze both American and Japanese trade policymaking and US-Japan trade negotiations, especially during the GATT Uruguay Round agriculture negotiations between 1986 and 1994. Meyerson not only develops an innovative approach to the analysis of the relationship between domestic politics and international relations in trade policymaking, but also, using publicly available GATT documents and publications, US Congressional hearings and Japanese-language sources, provides a strong narrative description of the roles of the United States and Japan in the GATT Uruguay Round agriculture negotiations.

If anyone is working in the USA either temporarily or as a permanent resident, this book will allow you to become informed on some of the general tax, real property, and immigration rules that may apply to your situation This is a must-have, at the very least for a starting point on US employment and living. I highly recommend it for those non-residents in the US, or for permanent residency holders.

Ok, I guess.......2002-06-29

This book was not what I expected. As a Canadian who has been living in the United States for almost 10 years, I was looking for advice on questions I have been thinking about recently. However, this book did not cover any subjects in enough depth for me, and simply told me things I already knew. Perhaps for basic cross-border information, the book would be helpful, but for someone in my situation it certainly was not. I have returned it.

I read this book and use the address, telephone No. and Fax No, but some are moved and couldn't be used. And this year's edition isn't published. It is unusual matter because it is published everyyear and I wonder why.
I hope this book changing if there is any move or change. I really wonder if I get 2002 edition or waiting until 2004 edition would be published.
