A GREAT PHOTOSHOP BOOK.......2000-01-08
As an advanced Photoshop user, I found this book to be VERY descriptive and easy to understand. Compared to other Phothoshop books that I have seen (that are about 3 times as thick, twice as heavy, and costs twice as much at least), this book provides the same information but in a straight-forward manner. There's no long, boring explanations; instead, it gets right to the point and shows you how to achieve the desired effect. It's at such a great price too . If you are a beginner, you should definitely get this book.
Greatest way to learn Photoshop 4!.......1998-07-19

This is the best of many such "quote books" i've read........2004-09-11
I picked this book as one of a set of three.The first one I read was Power Quiz Book;see my review of July 14th, 2004,which was also excellent.Because of that book,I was hoping this one would be just as good.I wasn't disappointed;it too was excellent.
I have a small collection of books on sayings,one-liners,or whatever you choose to call them and this is one of the best ;especially for its size ,coverage and organization.

I recently read this book of quotes by Eddie Robinson and I was humbled and amazed of the man himself and the struggle he had to endure to achieve sucessful for himself as well as the young men that he coached and mentored. this book in my eyes and maybe in other peoples eyes basically sums of his life and also can teach lessons to human beings that may be going through things in their lives of the same magnitude whether it be coaching, running a business, serving in the armed forces, Etc. Eddie Robinson is a one of a kind man that will rarely be seen in other lifetimes to come. I recommend this book to the young people today. They can get good use from it.

"Never Eat More Than You Can Lift" is a goulash, a mix of this and that and a lot of other things.
It's a quote book and the source for Twain's swipe at American cookery. It's also a cookbook with recipes for chutney ham rolls, baked caramel apples and garlic grilled okra. It's an advice book with hints for making custard, peeling cucumbers and telling the difference among English, American, Dijon, German and Chinese mustards.
Weaving their way among these mini-essays are 1,500 thoughts, one-liners and musings about food. Author Sharon Tyler Herbst casts a wide net for her quotations, from Arab emir Abd-al Kadir ("Coffee is the common man's gold, and like gold, it brings to every man the feeling of luxury and nobility.") to writer and editor William Zinsser ("[The hot dog] . . . a twin pillar of democracy along with Mom's apple pie. The greatness of Churchill's words .......2007-05-02
Many people say witty things. Many people say interesting things. Many people say things of aesthetic value. Many people say things of truth. But few people say things which have changed the shape of the world. Few people and perhaps no one more in modern history than Winston Churchill said things which helped save Western Civilization and the freedom of all of Mankind.
Churchill's words in the whole range of his great speeches rallied the British people and the Free world to never surrender, to never give up to fight on the landing grounds and beaches .They brought the British people to their finest hour, the one in which the many owed so much to the few. And they moved too the New World to come to the rescue of the Old.
