Book Description
The goal of enterprise integration is the development of computer-based tools that facilitate coordination of work and information flow across organizational boundaries. These proceedings, the first on EI modeling technologies, provide a synthesis of the technical issues involved; describe the various approaches and where they overlap, complement, or conflict with each other; and identify problems and gaps in the current technologies that point to new research.
The leading edge of a movement that began with computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM), EI now seeks to engage the development of computer-based tools to control not only manufacturing but the allied areas of materials supply, accounting, and inventory control. EI technology is pushing forward research in areas such as distributed AI, concurrent engineering, task coordination, human-computer interaction, and distributed planning and scheduling. These proceedings provide the first common technical ground for comparing, evaluating, or coordinating these efforts.
Charles J. Petrie, Jr., is Senior Member of Technical Staff at MCC in Austin, Texas.
Topics include: Computer Integrated Manufacturing. Open System Architecture Standards. The results of five workshops on EI modeling topics: Model Integration, Model/Application Namespace, Heterogeneous Execution Environments, Metrics and Methodologies, and Coordination Process Models.

Book Description
Bear chases. Stabbings. Broken bones. Sleeping three hours a day. Drinking whiskey all night. It all comes with the territory when a city girl from New York takes a job in an Alaskan fishing village. Tales from Fish Camp is a humorous take on the day-to-day drudgery of working 18 hour shifts, boozing it up with wizened old fisherman, hitchhiking, blood poisoning, and sucker hosing, filleting and packing thousands of pounds of fish. Though it sounds like she lost a lost bet, Danielle took this job on purpose - with no idea what she'd be getting herself into.

A Little Disappointed.......2006-07-11
Before buying and reading this book I had visited her blog in order to get a sense of her writing style. I had also searched for her on the net and read reviews and interviews concerning this book and was expecting something better than what I had received.
I was a little disappointed in the brevity of the "stories" and the book in itself.
While I did not expect the writing to be of a serious nature I was a little disappointed in the ability of the author. I believe that this book should have been worked on a little more. Perhaps if she had done so then the "stories" might have contained more detail and the quality of the writing might have been improved.
The layout of the book, as others below have mentioned, leaves much to be desired and questions the seriousness of the author in the creative writing field. Illustrations in place of the blank pages would have been perfered.
This is a very light read that is perfect when one wants something one doesn't have to spend much time thinking about.
I would, instead of buying this book, either borrow from someone or find it in a local bookstore and read it there.
Something to Not Try.......2006-06-13
Well after reading the reviews on here I decided to give this a try.
I was disappointed. The good reviews on here promised me something else as did her blog. I did not enjoy the writing. I feel as if the writer should have waited a bit before putting this to print and worked on this a little more.
The writing is amateurish at best. But it fits the genre and type of book it is.
I'm glad I didn't pay for this as I would have demanded my money back. I'm not in the habit of paying blank pages in books.
If you're looking for an extremely light read then pick it up. But I recommend that you read it at Barnes and Noble instead of buying it.
Good, quick, memorable read about a neat adventure........2006-06-11
I thought I should put a review up here to even out the bad reviews.
I thought "Tales From Fish Camp" was a pleasant read. The book is basically the narrative thoughts of a girl's adventure to an Alaskan fish camp for a few months. I thought the book read like a 'zine. And since I am a big fan of 'zines, I really enjoyed the book.
It only took me about 2 hours to get through the whole thing, but I found the writing and the stories she told very inspiring. It brought back a good deal of good memories of my own adventures and friends that I haven't seen for a long time. I'm glad Danielle Henderson took the time to write her memories down from this interesting time of her life and share them with us.
Leaves much to be desired........2006-04-08
I was greatly disappointed in this book. I had bought it after reading the first review. I guess I should have waited longer for other reviews.
It wasn't funny. The jokes were badly done as well as the writing. I felt this needed more work done to it and more content. I don't know why this was turned into a book. It's more like a short story.
Each chapter was a few pages long. There were blank pages that separated each chapter with nothing but a fish on it. I paid for content, for a story. Not blank pages! I was very put out that I spent over ten dollars on this "book".
I really did not like the writing for this book. I felt it lacked real talent creative and otherwise. I don't believe this author has what it takes to be one of the greats.
Not very good........2006-03-05
I do not recommend this book to anyone who is interested in serious literature.
This short story is badly written. Aside from humor it really offers no valuable insight on life or anything of a serious nature. The descriptions are badly written. Some parts of book seemed strained and unfinished.Aside from the content of the book, the layout leaves much to be desired as does the title. Some chapters are only two pages long and in between chapters are pages upon pages of nothing.
I was suprised that this wasn't self-published from the appearance of it. But then I learned that the only reason she was able to obtain a contract was that she was already affliated with Ait via some friends she had.
I recommend this book to younger girls who like reading such series as the Baby Sitters Club but not to anyone looking for something meatier and with more value.
So to sum it up do not spend money on this book, you'll be wishing you didn't.

The Must-Have Camping and/or Boating Bible for California.......2005-07-19
For those of us who have this quest to visit every state in America or on a more local note, to travel Hwy 101 from border to border (and not starting in the middle somewhere) or stop at every State Park and Historical Monument in CA (and get your stamp in that State Park book), this book is for you. The layout of this spiral-bound book is so simple. For one, you can flip it over just like a notebook. There is no spine or glue to break down with pages falling out from bending the book backwards so much. Secondly, the lakes are diagrammed and labeled from top to bottom, North to South. The author just knew this book would be for those us who want to start at the Oregon border and work our way down, visting every lake in CA. Lake amenities such as availability of campsites and boat ramps are listed under each lake. For those us who live for camping and/or boating this is a must-have.
Nice !!!.......2002-10-30
Informative and nicely detailed maps. The cartoons are funny and the layout is like a good resume, it shows you what you want to know.
VALUABLE Resource for Boating families - Helpful Info.......1999-06-22
Clerly illustrates the necessary info about all lakes and places to enjoy boating. Easy to understand and use. We have purchased three editions over last ten years. Always in our boat. Suggestion, use a large zip-lock type bag to keep dry. Listen to the voice of experience. Also, it is not an effective storage method to leave on top of Jeep as you drive away from lake. Has a habit of not staying on top of car for 50 mile trip home.
This is a valuable reference and will save you disappointments in chosing the wrong lake. Call ahead to the individual facilities and ask questions. This is helpful in planning trips to the lake for your family. Enjoy.

"A MUST HAVE FOR ALL DEER HUNTERS".......2002-12-19
This book is an outstanding collection of writings and nostalgia from our 19th century deer camps, and the history surrounding their colorful occupants. This book brings the reader back to the roots of our deer-hunting heritage. A must read for all who have lost touch with deer hunting and need to reconnect with this time honored tradition. Robert Wegner has truly created a masterpiece with this book. Within his writing he continues to spotlight the White-tailed deer, an animal that has had a profound positive impact on the evolution of America and the American Hunter.
Legandary Deer Camps-a must have for all deer hunters.......2002-02-01
Legendary Deer Camps is a splendid piece of work.
It depicts our deer hunting heritage with wonderfully detailed stories that really keep the readers interest, some with a touch of humor that all deer hunters can relate to.
Along with priceless nostalgic photos of famous deer camps of the past. Very pleasant reading.
Book Description
Neither advocacy nor indictment of deer hunting, Deer Camp documents the rituals and traditions of hunting season in Vermont's fabled Northeast Kingdom, a landscape increasingly threatened by development and changing social values. John Miller's text and photographs capture the culture of hunting and its place in country life. The cabins, the hunters and their families, and hunting artifacts and memorabilia are evocatively chronicled.
The sixty black-and-white photographs record with unsentimental honesty the multigenerational ritual of deer camp, showing the camps themselves (ranging from converted school buses with stovepipes sticking out the roofs to comfortable second homes in the woods), the pickups and jalopies, hand-drawn maps and hand-carved furniture, polished snowshoes, inlaid rifles, smoking camp stoves, and snowy woodpiles.
Miller's text details - among much else - the methodology of the hunt, woods lore and recipes, and the basics of camp life and ritual. Especially moving are the oral histories he includes along with the narrative which reveal the complicated richness of the hunter's world: its hardness, its camaraderie, its passion, and its underlying respect and reverence for the woods and the deer.

Lots of familiar Vermont Northeast Kingdom faces!.......2007-03-11
The Jacobs boys on the front cover with Artie featured inside too! Lots of other familiar faces inside of people I have grown up, went to school and worked with. Vermont Northeast Kingdom readers will recognize many of the people in the photos. A great book to read and enjoy. It's a keeper and Vermonter dot com heartily approved!

The Story Of An Amazing Lady Fisher.......2005-06-07
This engaging, illustrated memoir tells the story of the author's aunt, Katherine deb. Parsons, and the Atlantic salmon camp she and her relatives built from scratch along the banks of the Upsalquitch River in Nova Scotia. This story dispels the myth that women "don't get" the sport and art of fly fishing. The author, a medical doctor, collected several articles he had written for a fishing club newsletter, and these presented together form a fine narrative about camp life, the ecological issues facing the Atlantic salmon, the excitment of fishing on the fly, and the story of one amazingly independent and pioneering lady fisher.
A wonderful fishing memoir .......2005-01-04
Salmon Camp: The Boland Brook Story is the fascinating true story of a small family fishing camp, never operated as a club or commercial venture. In the 1930s, a young woman named Katharine Parsons acquired a stretch of land with a mile and a quarter of Atlantic salmon river running through it, constructed Boland Brook Camp, an oversaw it for years until her nephew inherited it after her passing in 1993. Her nephew recounts a detailed and flavorful history of the camp, the people who fished there, the experience of angling on the Upsalquitch River, and more, illustrated with black-and-white and color photographs. A wonderful fishing memoir sure to appeal to enthusiasts of the sport.
A Unique Salmon Fishing History.......2004-10-18
This is a very special and personal history of a unique Salmon Fishing Camp covering 65 years of kinship with a determined, courageous, and exceptional woman who, against all odds, built a remarkable Canadian summer retreat which she generously shared with family and close friends. This fascinating book reveals much about life at the isolated camp and fishing on the beautifil Upsalquitch River. It paints a vivid picture of comittment and comaraderie between Miss Parsons, her guests. and the devoted staff in a most affectionate and conversational manner. I recommend this book to anyone who responds to the magic
of Salmon Fishing. Joan Gilbert
