I love these cards - Great tool for learning sign language........2007-04-05
These cards are very easy to use. My children and young nieces (ages 7-10) enjoyed learning from these cards. The pictures include instructions on how to move your hands to correctly make/carry out the sign.
clear and easy.......2007-03-11
I really like the flash cards because they are easy to follow and understand. You can quiz yourself since they are flash cards and it surely beats tring to learn sign out of a book. I bought all four sets!
signing w/2t.......2007-03-10
My daughter loves to learn new words/signs, however, these were not ones we used regularly, so it was not as useful as I thought.
ASL Flash Cards.......2007-02-20
We have a 6mo. old and a 3yr old. We are using these with both. Our 3yr old enjoys them very much.
Great cards! Try putting them in a 4 by 6 photo album! .......2007-01-25
These cards are wonderful! I have 5 children and have always taught them basic baby sign language to help them communicate before they could speak. I have always used the Baby Signs board books which I think are great. My youngest child is 22 months old and was just diagnosed with speech apraxia. Although he knew basic signs from the board books, his speech therapist gave me the first set of these cards to expand his signing skills. I bougth a $2 photo album from Wal-Mart and put the cards in the photo sleeves in order to protect them (they are a bit flimsy, unlike the board books) and my son loves to carry around his "book." I would recommend this product to any mom or dad that wants to teach their baby useable signs. Signing with your baby is fun and it is a great step in teaching your child how to learn.

Sign Babies.......2007-09-24
I purchased these flash cards to help my family learn ASL as I have two hard of hearing children who are learning at school. The children like the pictures and often look through them on their own practicing the signs. My one complaint is that some of them have been simplified to be easier for small children with poor motor skills and the card does not show the correct sign.
Worth the Money.......2007-01-09
These cards are great for learning basic signs with your kids. Older kids learn fast from the cards, and toddlers enjoy them too, but be sure to laminate them because they bend and tear easily in toddlers' hands. The pictures can also be used for communication before the signs are memorized because a child can point to what they want by finding the picture card.
Nice & Easy.......2006-05-29
These cards are excellent. Cards are big and instructions in back SIMPLE! I have started using some of the signs with my 6 month old and she is already signing back! Love it!
Love these Cards.......2006-04-26
I think these cards are great - I love them - I love the description of the sign - I don't think think the picture description part is the best but the black and white part of of the description of the actually signing is perfect and understandable.
Sign Babies Cards/Subject Unclear in Picture.......2006-03-26
I really think these cards were a rip off. The drawing of the baby in the cards is enormous so its really difficult for the child to see what word he or she is supposed to recognize or sign. Big waste of money.

signing for babies.......2007-03-10
I think signing is a valuable tool for communicating w/young babies who can't yet express w/words. These cards provide basic everyday used words
in simple sign language. My daughter uses them regularly and it's terrific.

Great for kids with Autism!.......2007-08-23
These cards offer a great tool for helping non-verbal children with Autism to learn sign language. The pictures are clear and colorful. Great buy!
Very good.......2007-05-15
I use the flashcards with my baby who is 11 months old. We both like them: they are a good baby-book size with nice, simple, colorful pictures. The cards can be wiped off but are a bit thin for baby's hands - he likes to fold and bend them. On the back side one can see how the hand sign is done, which helps me, and my baby also likes to study this. What I don't like so much is how the cards are grouped by topics in each box and that one cannot tell when ordering online which exact words are inside. I found, for example, that in none of the three boxes I bought, there were verbs such as "eat" or "drink" which are words usually taught early to hearing babies. There is only a small number of flash cards in each box that we actually use. I would have prefered to buy one box with cards geared towards hearing babies that includes the most commonly used signs, instead of purchasing three boxes and only use 5 words from each one. For me it was worth spending the money, though, because those few cards we use every day and enjoy it.
Book Description
There isn't a mom on the planet who hasn't expressed frustration at not knowing why her baby is crying. "If only she could tell me what's bothering her!" is a sentiment frequently expressed by moms about their wailing babies. Imagine how great it would be if babies could say why they're cryingor that they want more juice, have a tummy ache, or need a hug.
Teaching babies sign language deepens the parent-child relationship and, studies show, makes it easier for babies to learn to speak and read.
This card deck, the first of its kind developed to teach sign language to hearing babies, contains flash cards with the 50 most important words you can teach your baby: mommy, daddy, enough, more, juice, hurt, happy, love, and so on. The deck also contains a 16-page booklet with helpful tips.

These cards are nice, but you get what you pay for! There are better ones out there for a bit more money
Sign Language Cards for babies.......2007-01-28
I was dissapointed in these cards. Many of the signs they are promoting for babies are not ASL. It seems that if you wish to teach your babies sign language it should at least be an already established language. No reason to reinvent the wheel.
I like Signing Time better.......2006-11-11
The cards are not useful, limited vocabulary, and uninteresting both for baby and for me. I like the Signing Time books and DVDs a million times better, have learned more and had fun doing it.
Very Helpful.......2006-03-27
These are very user friendly and are such a useful tool for teaching sign language to our 7 month old. Thanks!
Waste of money.......2004-06-08
I was online looking for supplemental baby sign things to teach our daughter more baby signs. I wish I'd seen the negative reviews on Amazon.com before I'd bought it. These signs are all ASL... you can do just as well to look them up in an ASL dictionary. And many of the signs aren't very useful to even try to teach a baby (how can a baby learn the 3 signs in "I love you"??)The flash cards are not cards for the babies to look at (which is what I had thought they would be), and the book (pamphlet) is a joke. I've not used this thing at all and wish I hadn't gotten it.
If you want to get a start in baby sign... get the 4 Baby Sign board books. If your baby likes books, your baby will most undoubtedly love those books. If your baby learns all the signs in those books, pass on this flash card pack, and instead get creative with an ASL dictionary.
Book Description

Customer Reviews:
Great ASL flash cards!.......2007-07-16
I love these flash cards. We started signing with my daughter when she was 5 months old; she did her first signs back at 10 months; now she's 18 months and still going strong with signing. We do not allow her to watch TV so we're reliant on what we can teach her, board books (which are mostly poorly designed when it comes to babies or very young toddlers), and now, these cards.
I LOVE these cards! The cards and big and fairly sturdy, and the words presented are a very good selection for babies. Here's how they are designed:
-- One one side, each card has a clear, colorful picture of the object being signed about, often with a baby (for example, "Light" shows a young toddler turning on a lamp).
-- On the back side, there is a picture of a woman performing the sign, and if needed, a brief text description of how to do the sign.
-- All cards show the ASL sign. A couple also show popular alternates for signs that are particularly difficult for babies, such as "help".
-- The word for each sign is printed in large, clear block letters on both sides of the card.
I have looked at tons and tons of board books and not been completely happy with any of them. but I love, love, LOVE these cards. They are wonderfully designed to be clear and attractive to very young signers, and are study enough that babies and toddlers can play with them without causing too much damage. My daughter has knelt or crawled on some of them more than once and they haven't really even been dented yet.
These cards definitely deserve two thumbs up.
Nice Sturdy cards!.......2007-07-04
I purchased these cards over a different brand after reading all of the reviews about having to laminate the other cards. I think that these cards are plenty sturdy enough. My infant has put them in her mouth quite a bit and it is easy just to wipe them clean when she is done. They are very nice large cards with great pictures that my daughter gets very excited about and the explanation of how to do the sign is very easy to understand.

Customer Reviews:
Not Just a Drawing book but a thinking book.......2006-12-25
This books doesnt just give you a bunch of monsters to copy,it actually lays out a total creative process for creating your own unique monster concepts. This fact immediately puts it ahead of most of the 'Draw Manga' books in that it doesn't just give you a list of stylistice tips but a whole way of thinking about the subject.
Cute monsters, Sea monsters, Kaiju, you name it!.......2006-10-08
The monster types in this book basically allow you do do a lot of mixing and matching (some examples were an Elephant with a Bulldozer, a human with a hercules beetle, a squid with a shrimp a crab and a stag beetle, and a Kaiju-fied lemur-esque monster with spikes on its tail... trust me when I say that THIS one is a LOT cooler looking than I've described it). Overall, this book allows for the artist to really use their head, as well as their creativity with some of these astonishingly terrifying, and sometimes cute or cool-looking monsters (the Pet Monsters, as this book calls them).
I'd recommend it to anyone willing to think outside the typical anime norm.
