This book is wonderful. The little girls, teenagers and some adults were coloring in this at my Grandaughters Birthday Party. What a find. Everyone loved it.

Great designs but..........2004-02-06
The good and the bad:
GREAT: Many of the designs are fantastic, like the cover shot; the pages are fairly sturdy but not up to water color paint quality; at least half of the pages have designs to the edge of the paper (though these are just simple, repeated triangles that have no relation to the specific image featured); each design can be interpreted and colored in as many unique ways as there are perspectives; there are 4 glossy, full color samples of completed designs on the front, back and inside covers; and lastly, the authors give permission to use up to ten pages from this book in your publications and projects, which is a BIG PLUS as you will want to photocopy the pages rather than color in the book (see why below), and you can share these designs with others.
The BAD:
This is the first such coloring book I've seen that uses both front and back sides of a page for different designs! There are only 15 actual pages--30 if you count both sides--and 28 designs to color. The problem with designs on both sides of one piece of paper is bleed (and show) through of art coloring media, and dirty copies because the other side's image copies through. There aren't any additional coloring suggestions or examples, besides the four.
"Dazzling Designs Coloring Book" is well worth the price, and there are enough complex quality designs to please all skill levels. I gave it only 3 stars because there are only 15, double-sided pages, which detracts from it's value, as does the inability to tear out and frame completed page(s).

Our children love these books. We gave them to their friends in their goodie bags at their birthday party. The kids loved them.
Sophisticated Coloring.......2000-05-01
This book is great for older kids and adults who enjoy taking their time coloring. It has lots of fine lines and small spaces to color. Most of the prints to color take up a large part of the sheet and there are even a few panorama sheets to color. For those of you with lots of patience, this coloring book should be very rewarding.

A backdoor into understanding.......2006-01-30
This book literally jumped out at me while I was in a very difficult place. I can only say I was astounded to find such clarity in a story - I finally got it! Story is a backdoor into revealing the parts of me I could not see and certainly could not intellectualize. Michael Meade has an intoxicating passion and a way with the business of storytelling that gets to the core of issues and gently opens the psyche for expoloration and in my case, navigation. His audio products are also a gift, shame they haven't fouind their way to CD yet!

Michael Meade transcends the "Men's Movement".......2000-04-29
Like Joseph Campbell, Michael Meade understands the mythic meanings of our human story and illuminates our sometimes shadowy roles as men in modern society. Michael doesn't pander to anyone and his insights go beyond the touchy, feely, washed out views of masculinity of the latter 20th century. This book is a treatise on the core of true masculinity, which honors and nurtures all of life. It is a book I am proud to have grace my book shelves.
DEEP AND MEANINGFUL INFORMATION.......1998-08-02
Through myths and ancient stories, Meade takes readers through the stages in a man's lfe. The initiatory events as detailed in the stories allow for a re-examination of childhood issues from a different perspective. Meade's writing is clear and concise, as is his obvious commitment to men and their healing. This book is a must read for anyone (not just men) wishing to gain deeper insights into our collective and individual psyches.

THIS IS THE THIRD BOOK IN SEAN MICHAEL'S JARHEAD SERIES AND I HAVE TO SAY IT IS UP THERE WITH THE FIRST TWO. I THROUGHLY ENJOYED THIS BOOK BECAUSE RIGGER FINALLY GETS MAD ABOUT SOMETHING HE DISCOVERED HAPPENED WHEN HE WAS GONE FOR 4 MONTHS DUETO HIS JOB. DICK LET HIM KNOW HE WAS ABLE TO GET ROCK OFF IN A WAY RIGGER WHO HAD BEEN ROCK'S LOVER LONG BEFORE DICK BECAME OF PART OF THEIR LIVES WAS UNABLE TO DO. NOT BECAUSE HE COULDN'T IT WAS BECAUSE ROCK DIDN'T LIKE TO BOTTOM SO RIGGER DIDN'T INSIST OR PROD HIM INTO DOING SO. IT APPEARS DICK IN FOUR MONTHS DID SOMETHING RIGGER HADN'T DONE WITH ROCK IN THEIR MANY YEARS TOGETHER. IT ALL CAME ABOUT WHEN DICK SAID HE WANTED TO FIST ROCK. This follow-up to "Three Day Passes" was great. It had no surprises like "Three Day Passes" but it continued the love story of Rock, Rig, and Dick (Pretty as Rig calls him). All three bonds deepening as they find their place in the relationship and keep it whole during the trying time of unrest and change.
Twosie Beats Onesie, but Nothing Beats Threes!.......2006-08-09
Jeeze -- I've been in a committed love relationship for over 23 years, but this book made me ache to be in a Triad, not only for the sex but also for the emotional contribution of two other partners to the relationship as a whole! (Obviously, such a scenario requires the RIGHT partners.) The sex was more than hot (involved about 70% of the book), and the variations in sex roles was awesome, but the plot line was also gripping and moving. When their relationship "clicked," each of the three guys contributed something essential to the other two. I am not certain that the original relationship between Rock and Rigger would've survived the events of this book without Dick. The emotional bonds between the three were badly shaken by the violence against Rig; that they would work their way through the shattering effects was in serious doubt for much of the book. When they finally did manage to put the parts of their relationship back together, this reader was warmed and happy with the results. The small steps forward, sometimes followed by steps backward and threats of break-up were thoroughly credible. Strongly recommended for both the sex scenes and the plot line.
A Much Better Read Than the First Jarheads Novel.......2006-07-27
Rigger, Rock and Dick are back. This second novel in the Jarheads series is much better than the first. The characters are much more developed, and there is an interesting storyline involving the gay bashing of Rigger. Of course there is still a lot of sex, but now there's a clear emotional bond shared amongst these three men. If you liked the first book in this series, then you will definitely enjoy this book as well.
I can't get enough of Sean Michael.......2006-03-26
Rock, Rigger, and Dick are as close as ever. Their relationship is going strong. They are happy and really comfortable with each other. Then the unimaginable happens. Rock and Dick get a call in the middle of the night telling them that Rigger has been badly hurt. He was attacked by a group of hateful marines because he is gay. Rigger's injuries are severe and his recovery is going to be a long painful process for him. Slowly Rigger's physical wounds start to heal, but the emotional scars left behind start to wear him down.
They broke him that night, and putting the pieces back together is going to take strength he never knew he had. For a time, Rigger loses the best part of himself, but with the love and support of his two marines Rigger begins to claw his way back from the hell he was left in. The process takes it's toll on all of them, but their love for each other is stronger than the damage done to them. Whatever it takes, they'll work through it and they'll make it better than before.
Tempering is the second story in Rock, Rigger and Dick's relationship. It is at times heart-wrenching and painful, but as always, it is beautiful. The senseless, violent attack against Rigger had me in tears. My heart ached for him. Rock's rage, Dick's feelings of helplessness and Rigger's need to protect his men are dramatically portrayed. The relationship between these three men is truly amazing. They share maddeningly erotic moments and their respect and compassion for each other is staggering. The intimacy and bonding in Rock, Rigger, and Dick's relationship truly deepens in this story.
Rigger is the sexy homemaker, Dick is the loving peacekeeper and Rock demands his lovers by his side. Together they make this perfect, outrageous relationship that had me either laughing, whimpering or crying with them on every page. The end brings back the rightness and warmth that is just them. Tempering is so moving. I simply can't get enough of these men. Rock, Rigger and Dick's story continues in Out Of The Closet. As they start this new chapter in their lives, I am eagerly going to be tagging along for the ride!

Did you ever listen or read a myth or fairytale and wonder "how does this apply to my life?" well here's a book from a master storyteller that opens a door to this question. By revealing the stories that shaped his life, Michael Meade lays out the territory of story and gives a new/old way of seeing the world for an individual and for a community as a whole. A must read for anyone to navigate this chaotic world.

This book is about a boy, Karl Kerner and his family. They live in the steel-mill town of Cannan PA. As the story goes on, Karl starts to grow up,and even,gasp,fall in LOVE!! This book is filled with twists and turns that will keep the reader on the edge of his/her seat. Although this book could use a better conclusion.

This is the third in the romantic series about the American Revolution and the causes that led to it. In this volume, there are three marriages between a Rhode Island socialite and a British desserter, a sailor and a Williamsburg socialite, and a young widow and a New England post rider.

this is a particularly nice work of historical fiction. however, as good as the inside of the book is, the cover is truly the main draw. the beefcake on the front would make any woman drool with anticipation about what lies within-the book that is!
