Customer Reviews:
Not Much.......2005-01-23
I read this book recently and the author seemed like a "princess" rich bitch trekking across Tibet on her parent's dime. She did run into some harrowing moments, but never seemed to lose her "isn't it all wonderful" attitude toward the people around her. I can well imagine the reason why the natives were so caring, she paid as she went and spoke as if the natives were naturally just so wonderful. Everyone you are giving money to is "just so wonderful" I would rather have read a book about the hard realities of these places outside the bubble of a insulated money'd post college girl
Journey Across Tibet.......2002-09-28
I loved this book. Could hardly put it down. There were alot of pictures as well of Sorrel Wilbys travel thru Tibet. She made it all so interesting, telling about the country and the people she met along the way.

Open Your Heart
What an adventure! Having Christy Miller invite Sierra on an all-expenses-paid trip to Europe was amazing—but that was just the beginning. Sierra never imagined she’d meet someone like Alex, a dark-eyed Russian college student who’s a Christian. Or that they’d all come face-to-face with disaster. Through it all, one question haunts Sierra: c an she learn to love others without expecting anything in return? Will she finally be able to open her heart to others—and to God?
Time Will Tell
Sierra’s senior year of high school is here, but after the great summer she just had, how can it be anything but a letdown? Sure enough, the year tanks big-time when the school issues her buddy Randy an ultimatum. Stuck in the middle—Sierra wonders, what’s right? Her friend or the rules? She longs to talk it over with Amy, but Sierra’s best friend still isn’t talking to her. What’s worse, she hasn’t heard a word from Paul! No doubt about it, this school year is totally frustrating! Will Sierra ever understand her friendships or God’s plans for them?
Now Picture This
Why can’t everyone just leave Sierra alone? All she wants to do is find a place to read the letter she just received from Paul—to soak in every word and memorize the photo he sent her—but Thanksgiving at the Jensen house means relatives everywhere! Sierra hides out, immersed in her ideas for Paul’s birthday and Christmas gifts, especially his requested gift: a photo of her. Sierra’s determined—the photo has to be spectacular! But a small voice of doubt nags at her. What does God think of her ignoring her family and friends this way? Is her picture-perfect relationship with Paul really all she thinks it is?
Story Behind the Book
“After writing the twelve-book Christy Miller series for teens, a new character showed up on the pages of the final novel. Her name was Sierra Jensen, and she was so compelling as a teenage character that readers began asking for a series about Sierra in order to hear more about her life choices. Our family had just moved to Portland at the time, and I found it easy to picture a sixteen-year-old like Sierra shopping at the local vintage clothing stores, hanging out with friends at a garage band concert, and serving at the homeless shelter on weekends.”

Book Description
When Courtney Moss slips into an antique rose gown, she miraculously slips out of the modern world...and ends up in Virginia City during the Gold Rush-and straight in the arms of Heath Sullivan.
Customer Reviews:
fun time travel romance.......2003-04-30
When she was seven, Courtney Moss' mother abandoned her, leaving her with her grandmother in Virginia City, Montana. Courtney's grandmother felt the child was an intrusion and though she provided food and shelter, she never displayed one ounce of love towards the sad little girl. Courtney learned that love, if it ever exists, hurts.
Several weeks after her grandmother's funeral, Courtney is back in Virginia City cleaning out the house instead of fine-tuning her sketches for a job interview. In the attic she finds a nineteenth century ball gown. Her friend Ryan persuades her to wear it to the upcoming Victorian Ball. At the gala Courtney becomes locked in a shed. When Heath Sullivan frees her, she finds somehow that she went back in time to 1864.
Heath and Courtney are attracted to one another, but she rejects the notion of love and he believes he does not deserve anyone's love. He believes he caused the death of a friend, a runaway slave. Will time heal all wounds or just add pain as neither person can take that last step towards one another.
Time is not needed to know that time travel romance readers will enjoy Sherry Lewis' latest tale. The scarred lead couple makes for a fine story line as each slowly enters a relationship that they distrust not because so much of the other, but because of the baggage they carry. Though the reason for the travel is weak and the adjustment facile, readers will rate highly ONLY TIME WILL TELL because of the delightful protagonists who deserve a lasting love.

Needed more conflict.......2003-03-25
When Courtney Moss returned to her hometown, she only intended to clean out her grandmother's attic, but she ends up attending a Victorian Ball as a favor to a friend. She never intended to travel back in time over a hundred years. That is what she does though when she is trapped in the city gym that turns into a shed in the past.
Heath Sullivan rescues her, but the haunted loner almost wishes he had not. The girl is clearly crazy with all her talk about being from the future. Though the two are put off from each other at first, and Courtney desperately wants to return to the world that has deodorant and toothpaste, somehow, they begin to soften. The woman has opened up a pained heart that Heath thought long turned cold, and somehow, Courtney finds herself falling for not only this hurting man, but for the whole world that she has discovered.
*... While Heath is a truly sexy and appealing hero, and Courtney an endearing heroine who never fails to amuse, the story on the whole was a bit unsatisfying. There was too little conflict and not much sense of purpose to the time traveling.

Excellent Thrill Ride-Great Scenery.......2006-05-08
What a way to finish up a trilogy than by coming out with a bang!!!!!! I loved having the series end with Andrew, a Candadian Intelligence Agent, being the central character along with Ashton, a recent divorcee, being brought together so quickly in a case. The action is non stop, the scenery and locales and historical tidbits fascinating. Julie brings forth a great and very strong female character in Ashton and she just gets stronger with each situation. I thoroughly enjoyed how Julie brings all the main characters back at the end and the ending is a great who-donit. Kept me guessing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I highly recommend this novel to anyone who loves mystery, suspense, a tad bit of romance and some Genealogy mixed in.

Customer Reviews:
A long Wait.......2006-02-10
The book was a well wrote story. It is about a girl name Serria. She is going threw her first real love. She has been writing letters, poems, and stories to a guy named Paul. Paul is the guy she has fell in love with. But the thing is he is in Italy for a whole year or more. Paul is staying with his grandma. Then to top it off it is her senior year at school and she is having troubles doing her homework, keep her room clean, and work all the hour at work.
To make things worst her best friend Amy is not talking to her anymore. Before Serria went to Europe with Christy her other friend, Amy needed her the most. But instead of helping Amy, Serria made things worst by yelling at her for making out with her boy friend.
My favorite part about the book is the bond between Serria and her mom. I wish I was like that with my mom.
My dislike is the long wait between the letter writing. It makes it hard to understand what is going on with people.
I would recommend this book to teen age girls. It will make them think of love and how boys can be.
Great book about patience.......2001-07-06
This an excellent book about waiting. It shows that sumtimes you have to wait for love. When Sierra gets back from Switzlerland, she has a lot of unsettled relationships cuming at her. Amy won't talk to her, Paul hasn't written to her about his response for e-mail or not. Butt when Vicki (snob) told Sierra that she surrendered her life to the Lord, Sierra and Vicki start to become friends. Big recomendation!!
A Great Book!!!!.......2001-06-18
I love this entire series. This book is just one more brilliantly written novel by Robin Jones Gunn. I especially appreciate the messages that these books send to today's teenagers(myself being one of them). The books explain that with God's guidance, all of life's troubles and obstacles can be overcome. This book (and this series) is inspiring and very well-written. I recommend all 12 to any teenager who, like me, faces everyday struggles and needs God's help. Again, these are wonderful books and whoever reads them should inevitably fall in love with them as well.
time is precious.......2001-05-18
This was an awesome book about waiting for God's perfect will and timing in every aspect of your life. Sierra is beginning her senior year where she will have to make decisions that will affect the rest of her life. Things aren't easy for Sierra anymore, her parents don't make the decisions for her, she has to make them herself. She must make decisions regarding her friends and her relationships with them. She must decide what to do about her "relationship" with Paul, what to do about Amy her former best friend who won't even speak to her, and whether or not to help her friend, Randy, to go againest their school's admistration. Sierra learns about friendship as she learns to take things slowly and carefully with Paul and to give up on her friendship with Amy. She forms a bond with Vicki, a girl she had formerly disliked and thought was snobby. Sierra learns that as she grows up friends will come and go but each will leave special memories in her heart for years to come. How will Sierra's life turn out only time will tell. This book will inspire you to trust in God's timing and to love and honor Him with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. By reading this book you will learn along with Sierra just how in important reading God's love letter to you(the Bible)everyday is. Sometimes everything will seem like its going wrong but God always has a plan for your life and everything will turn out okay in the end if you just listen to God and follow His plan for your life. God will give you the desires of your heart if you ask Him and do what He asks of you.
I LOVED it!.......2000-01-09
This book is a really good book. I have only read a few books in this series, but this is my favorite one I have read. I stayed up all night reading it because it was impossible to put it down. I love all the books by Robin Jones Gunn that I have read so far.

Too corny.......2006-10-20
This story was just okay. It wasn't that great. It's about a man trying to take over this womans ranch or farm but they eventually fall in love. The thing I didn't like is how the guy took over running the ranch and how it seemed he started to be in control of things. That was too traditional for me. Although, I did like the their daughters in the story, I thought they were funny. I just didn't like the traditional part of the guy being in control of things.
Round'Em Up.......2006-03-26
I am glad that Jacqueline and Alexander were adult enough to admit that there was an attraction. As there relationship evolved you could stay intune with each emotion. Shasta and Jasmine were a nice touch. Being from Oklahoma I can believe you can park your truck next to a horse tied to a hitching post.
Can't wait for the next book.
excellent.......2005-10-18
I enjoyed this book so much. It takes time to get into the
book, but once you start, you almost can't put it down. The
characters where well developed. It was funny how she would
scream all the time and it would make people all over the
property stop what they were doing. The only thing that I didn't
like was that both of them had pride issues. I really enjoyed
it though.

Journey of Life.......2004-02-15
To attempt to describe the feelings and emotions experienced while reading this book is hard to do. It is a book that once started, you cannot put down being drawn into the story of Earl Meadows as he goes through his life. His faith and love as His only guides for life, He and I experienced His pain and sorrows and finally His joy and happiness together in this beautifully written account of a man's life and the country he loves. Without exception, a great book.
A moving tale of one young mans growing up.......2004-01-13
This book is a moving story of a young man growing up. He faces difficult times and learns the way to deal with those difficulties. The author has done a wonderful job of making you feel his emotions. You can also see in your minds eye the area in which he lives. I recommend this book with high regard.
You won't be able to set this one down!.......2003-12-08
Time Only Will Tell, is a wonderful story of a common young man coming of age in the harsh Central Oregon desert. Earl Meadows was a spirtual man unafraid of the hard, dusty, backbreaking work on the large cattle ranch called "Hay Creek". Life has it's tragic twists and turns for Earl Meadows, he questions his own faith and life seems to only be handing young Earl the dark cards. In a story 60% documentary of the authors life, one wonders how much tragedy one person can endure. Earl is a stong man, with an unbreakable faith that carries him though his dark years. If you happen to live in Central Oregon, or have ever traveled though it, you'll enjoy the familiar surroundings in the story. This is an extremely easy book to read and one that will leave you feeling very lucky to have picked up this book in the first place.
"Time Only Will Tell" is a book worth reading........2003-10-13
I found this book to be a very easy reading book, one of those books that you can't put down. The author draws a picture of Central Oregon in such a way that you can almost see it. This book will make you laugh and cry. You will be angry at the people that treat the main chacater so badly. You will feel his pain and heartache as he faces some strong trials. You will rejoice as he learns to lean on God for his needs. And you will learn how to deal with the dark periods of your life.
