I have been selling for 20 years, and have been exposed to a very large number of selling systems. The vast majority of selling systems are extremely complex, and difficult to remember. Baseline Selling includes all of the vital direction of the more complicated systems, without being complicated. I have read the book 5 times, and use it for training new salespeople. You lose nothing and gain everything by switching from S.P.I.N., Customer Centric, or Solution Selling to Baseline Selling. Great work Dave!

i wasn't very impressed. i bought the book for an airplane ride and was very disappointed to find how often the author wrote (these are examples) "you can find great ones online" or "skin care tips online" or "list of top best photogs worldwide online." i didn't have a computer and i wanted to know what they were talking about. if you don't have access to a computer 24/7 this book is not for you. EVEN if you have access to a computer 24/7 this book is not for you cause than you CAN look it all up.

This book concentrates both in text and photographs, on runway modeling. Generally, runway models (outside small towns) are models who have already 'made it' in print modeling (editorial and advertising). This book is sorely lacking in the fundamentals of modeling -- like finding out where you fit and where your potential lies.

For someone who lives in a country outside the United States,it is a good thing to find a book like this one which emphasizes theuse of the Internet to find out about the modeling business. I would recommend this book to anyone who is thinking about becoming a model but does not know where to start. There is so much info in it, that having used only a tenth of it, and I'm already happy with my investment.

This book should be a freebie considering all the promotional content. I read about half the book before I threw it aside. There are few ideas, and a lot of promotional stuff about the cheesey marketing people that contributed articls.

I just bot this book from my local bookstore. Then I see Amazon has a 30% discount. What's more, I see there are 4 reviews. Three of the reviews have 1 star while the fourth has 5 stars.
I may be overly skeptical but they way the 5 star was written coupled with the vastly different rating, it certainly sounds like a "related party" tried to come to the rescue. The writing style sounds like the publishers themselves tried the hype.
Off to read the book, hope I am wrong.

I can't figure out who this book was written for, other than the marketing companies that contributed the useless content. This was purely written for these cheesy contributors--there are absolutely no ideas in this brochure.

This book is obviously written for Top Producers who want to learn from the superstars of the industry. Mid-level and new advisors will merely see ideas, but not have the background knowledge and experience to implement them. The "airplane reading" style makes each chapter a quick read. Each chapter, including the various self-assessmets allow you to determine where you are in relation to the best-of-the-best in the financial services industry.

I didn't see the other reviews until after my copy arrived. Having now wasted a weekend reading this book, I have to agree with everyone. The topic sounds great, the book isn't.

I absolutely loved and needed this book. My business was at a stall, and I had some doubts. When I began reading "Be A Network Marketing Superstar", I couldn't put it down and finished it in a couple of days. I learned to use my time much, much more wisely, and I am seeing wonderful results. I could go on and on! I followed up this book by reading Mary's other book "Make Your First Million in Network Marketing." What I love about her books is that they're so concise and clear on the steps I need to make. I have no idea how this one fell through the cracks as it should have been one of the all time classics and a best-seller. It's absolutely fantastic, offering insight into a variety of salespeople's rise from various backgrounds and humble beginnings to superstars in many different industries. The individual accounts are easy to read in a short sitting. Each one inspires and motivates through relating real-life struggles and hurdles each superstar faced on the way to the top ... struggles that are strikingly familiar to all salespeople. It's a book to keep in the briefcase and review often as it's wisdom is timeless and encouraging without sensationalism. A must-have.
