Book Description
In 1991, when her daughter’s rare, hand-carved harp was stolen, Lisby Mayer’s familiar world of science and rational thinking turned upside down. After the police failed to turn up any leads, a friend suggested she call a dowser–a man who specialized in finding lost objects. With nothing to lose–and almost as a joke–Dr. Mayer agreed. Within two days, and without leaving his Arkansas home, the dowser located the exact California street coordinates where the harp was found.
Deeply shaken, yet driven to understand what had happened, Mayer began the fourteen-year journey of discovery that she recounts in this mind-opening, brilliantly readable book. Her first surprise: the dozens of colleagues who’d been keeping similar experiences secret for years, fearful of being labeled credulous or crazy.
Extraordinary Knowing is an attempt to break through the silence imposed by fear and to explore what science has to say about these and countless other “inexplicable” phenomena. From Sigmund Freud’s writings on telepathy to secret CIA experiments on remote viewing, from leading-edge neuroscience to the strange world of quantum physics, Dr. Mayer reveals a wealth of credible and fascinating research into the realm where the mind seems to trump the laws of nature.
She does not ask us to believe. Rather she brings us a book of profound intrigue and optimism, with far-reaching implications not just for scientific inquiry but also for the ways we go about living in the world.

Extraordinary Knowing.......2007-09-25
Finally, a book that reviews the scientific evidence for the existence of extra-ordinary events. It is disturbing to see how scientists, under the guise of skepticism, have refused to look at well-designed studies that, unfortunately for them, challenge their perception of the world AS THEY WOULD LIKE IT TO BE. Skepticism is certainly healthy, but prejudice is not. To decide beforehand that events that appear to not quite follow natural laws are totally unworthy of study is simply not good science. In this book Elizabeth Lloyd Mayer points us to the many high-quality studies (and scientists) that have been simply ignored by mainstream science. Reading this book should certainly open your eyes to the variety of human experience that modern science both rejects and neglects.
I knew you would read this book ; ).......2007-06-07
Mayer takes on a taboo subject - often ridiculed by the religious AND the scientific communities but for different reasons. The scientists -because it is difficult to explain how esp works. The religious -because if humans were to develop their esp abilities -then we would all be prophets.
This book is filled with interesting anecdotes, experiments, ideas, and people who figure prominently in the field of esp practice and esp research. If you are interested in the topics of psychic healing, subliminal messages, meditation, premonition, intuition, dreams, remote viewing, dowsing, and why Sigmund Freud was not fond of music (and more!)- this is the book for you. Read with an open mind. There is a notes section and an index.
Moves discussion into the new millenium.......2007-05-14
This book is courageous in its sharing of the author's personal journey toward a greater understanding of our complete and yet mysterious humanity, backed up by scrupulous clinical and research data. She takes the idea that we are more than we can ever really know about ourselves consciously out of the age of gullible new age mysticism, and puts it in the middle of thinking people's daily contemplation, challenging everyone from the church to psychologists, to even physicists to take on her incredible yet undeniable assertions about the unlmited frontier of human consciousness which she leads us to. The author died right after completing this book, yet this book has an important and exciting message for humanity that needs to be carried forward without her. It is the perfect antidote to all the fervent God-haters of late, injecting awe, humility and intelligence into the discussion of where we have been, and where we are going--to a place where God and science meet.
where the beef?.......2007-05-13
The author makes good use of describing multiple studies that support some amazing mental powers that the human mind appears to be capable of performing. Unfortunately, none of the studies are sufficiently referenced to allow an interested reader to review the actual data. A more detailed account of the experimental set up, control group, number of participants, etc. along with the actual data would have allowed a skeptical reader to assess the validity independently, rather than accepting the "highly statistically significant" conclusion the author presents. Extraordinary claims do require extraordinary evidence. While I believe the evidence may be there, the author does not make the "ordinary" effort to share this important information with her readers. Even an appendix with more detail would have been useful. I was left wanting for more than just an appetizer, how about some real beef!
Excellent .......2007-05-09
Lisby Mayer lived long enough to complete the manuscript for this excellent story of how an extraordinary event changed her life. Must reading.

Psychiatry and metaphysics blend together in this fascinating book based on a true case history. Dr. Weiss, who was once firmly entrenched in a clinical approach to psychiatry, finds himself reluctantly drawn into past-life therapy when a hypnotized client suddenly reveals details of her previous lives. During one hypnosis session his client introduces the spirit guides who have been her soul therapists in between lives. This is when the story really takes off for Weiss, who discovers that these guides have specific messages about his dead son as well as Weiss's mission in life. No, we cannot verify the truth of this story using the limited scientific tools we have available. However, it is hard to dispute that this well-respected graduate of Columbia University and Yale Medical School has discovered a personal truth that has led him to be an enormously popular speaker, author, and leader in the field of past-life therapy. --Gail Hudson
Book Description
As a traditional psychotherapist, Dr. Brian Weiss was astonished and skeptical when one of his patients began recalling past-life traumas that seemed to hold the key to her recurring nightmares and anxiety attacks. His skepticism was eroded, however, when she began to channel messages from the "space between lives," which contained remarkable revelations about Dr. Weiss' family and his dead son. Using past-life therapy, he was able to cure the patient and embark on a new, more meaningful phase of his own career.

Absolute BEST book I have ever read, period........2007-10-07
Fantastic book! I have given away 10+ copies of this book and each person has been blow away by the content. We would all be better people if we take this information to heart and lead a clean, honest life.
Many Lives Many Masters.......2007-10-04
I am very satisfied with this book on tape! I do past life regression for my clients and it's really nice to have an expert in the field that I can learn more from.
Many Lives, Many Masters.......2007-09-23
It was not so much the regressions into the past lives but the "rest periods" that interested me. The emphasis on teaching and helping spirits learn to change their flawed characters, in preparation for their next lives, confirmed some theories I had. From observation of spirit visits I know there are at least two laws: If you tell unwanted visitors to go away, they must obey. And they do not speak to us living. They do speak among themselves. My husband's spirit visits me at least twice a day. I talk to him but he cannot respond. If he could, I would have everything out of him in ten minutes because there is so much I want to know about the afterlife, and it must remain a mystery. Why, I do not know. He did answer one question: I asked how he was, and he wagged his hand in the comme si, comme ca gesture. According to Brian L. Weiss, Masters help those who are in need of guidance. Perhaps that is what my husband is doing, though I dare not presume he is on a high plane. Still, I might add one more facet to Weiss's thesis. Other, more evolved, spirits and not necessarily Masters, also teach. My husband brings home other spirits, some very primitive types who were probably clueless in life. I know he has befriended them. I found confirmation of my thoughts in Dr. Weiss's book.
Good reading...but I had some problems.......2007-09-23
First I "read" this book via an audio book version. I think Dr. Weiss is totally believable in his honest search to help Catherine. I think his approach will open many minds to explore or widen their religion/spiritual belief systems. Although I have some problems with some details contained in the book, I do think he has been a great help to those who are dying & their families.
The issues that I had problems with: 1. The MALE voice of the Masters...do
the "learned" ones always have to be male!! Perhaps the Masters used a male voice since they told him they were channeling their knowledge for him & not Catherine. With his cultural & belief system, a male voice would be more effective for him to consider the teachings. BUT not for me!! I would be more apt to listen a little more closely to a FEMALE Master; 2. the term "god" is mentioned 2-3 times toward the end of the book...It just seems like it should have been introduced earlier to me and 3. There is no mention of "WHO" or "WHAT" conceived Reincarnation plus its level system. I found that a big omission.
Fabulous Insight & Resource.......2007-09-09
This book has been invaluable to me over the years and I've read it time and again. Weiss lets us into the "inner circle" of therapy and shows us how ordinary people can experience physical and emotional pain from unresolved issues in another lifetime. Read this book and you will never look at your life and challenges in the same way again. It provides hope and courage and is a must-read for anyone seeking wholeness and understanding. Many Masters, Many Lives gave me the insight essential to my own novels of karma and past lives, in particular Field of Destiny.
Book Description
David R. Hawkins details how anyone may resolve the most crucial of all human dilemmas: how to instantly determine the truth or falsehood of any statement or supposed fact. Dr. Hawkins, who worked as a "healing psychiatrist" during his long and distinguished career, uses theoretical concepts from particle physics, nonlinear dynamics, and chaos theory to support his study of human behavior. This is a fascinating work that will intrigue readers from all walks of life!

A valuable tool in the area of personal growth .......2007-10-14
Hawkins' discussion of kinesiology testing is very comprehensive, and can serve as a valuable tool in the area of personal growth. My wife and I use this methodology on a regular basis to assist us in making decisions in our lives. It is not something we rely on 100 percent to actually make the decision, but we do indeed consider it to be an important tool to apply in the decision-making process.
A useful perspective.......2007-10-13
Other than the fact that this book could have been edited a bit, it provides an easy to read and understand formulation of one of the basic factors in the human psyche. Like another favorite of mine "Learned Optimism" this book provides insight not normally found in todays pop-psycholgy or self-improvement books.
Authors like Wayne Dyer ask readers to "trust" what is presented as true, try it out and see what happens. Dr. Hawkins on the other hand uses a fairly reliable methodology that is simple enough anyone can use it, kinesiology. You don't have to be a trained psychologist to try kinesiology testing in it's simplest applications. Test this with a friend or spouse, have them put out their arm and think to themselves "I am strong and deserving" then try to push down their arm at the wrist. Then have them say to themselves "I am weak and undeserving" then push on the arm again. You can do this test over and over with the same results. What we think DOES effect us physically. But this book takes this idea much farther into many aspects of our lives from the food we eat to the politicians we elect.
Great food for thought.......2007-10-03
Actually I would give this 4 1/2 stars because this book is written so assertively it may be a turn-off for those who would be receptive to exploring its ideas.
Think of "Power Vs. Force" as an intellectual version of "The Secret," in that it includes scientific discussion and heavy-hitting authorities to posit similar ideas.
No matter what your opinion, this book deserves great credit for putting some extremely interesting ideas out there for discussion and debate. The cover of the book looks like you would have to be an Ivy-League professor to crack it open, but this book would actually be a great book club selection because it would open the door for a fantastic discussion.
A fun and interesting book to read, even if you don't agree. Recommended.
Incredibly important read..........2007-09-15
This book is wonderful. It's a must read for anyone in the alternative healing arts. I'm a physicist and this book answers so many of the skeptics arguements about our connection to the universe and does so in a very grounded way. Should be required reading for all thinking persons...
Powerful! (Not forceful!).......2007-08-29
I'll be honest with you. Some of the finer points in this book are over my head. But I do understand that when we come from a place of love, joy, peace, and acceptance, we have much power to manifest our desires than we do when we come from a place of fear, greed, pride, etc. In fact, the way I see it, love (and its associated states of being) are our only TRUE power -- a power that can manifest miracles -- and everything else we experience in life is just a matter of "force," and the consequences of force. I was first introduced to this idea in a book called Row, Row, Row Your Boat: A Guide For Living Life In The Divine Flow. Power vs. Force really expands on this idea, though, and I think it's an important book for all to read.

After years of spiritual study and reflection, inspirational speaker and bestselling author Wayne Dyer has emerged a highly esteemed teacher. His current message about tapping into the power of intention may sound like good old positive thinking: just stay focused on what you want, rather than focusing on the lack of having what you want. But the teaching here goes deeper than just controlling thoughts (although he does acknowledge that thought control is a surprisingly challenging and significant endeavor). This book might help readers land a better job, but it's more relevant for those who are ready to detach from an ego-driven life filled with quick fixes of happiness and step into a more authentic, joyful, and spiritually fulfilling life. His core teachings speak to tapping into a universal source of energy that can also be called the "power of intention." He calls people who are consciously co-creating with this energy source "connectors" and describes them as "individuals who have made themselves available for success...They don't say With my luck things won't work out. Instead, you're more likely to hear something like, I intend to create this and I know it will work out." Connectors are also committed to Dyer's "seven faces of intention"--creativity, kindness, love, beauty, expansion, abundance and receptivity, which he speaks to throughout the book. Each chapter concludes with five suggestions for becoming stronger connectors, such as how to monitor one's inner speech or shift out of low-energy beliefs. Some criticize Dyer for not giving credit to other teachers who offer this same message, especially Jerry and Esther Hicks (A New Beginning I) and even Ralph Waldo Emerson. It's impossible to know whether this was a deliberate omission, but it is obvious that Dyer has tapped into a growing conversation about co-creating with "source." Other leading-edge voices in this conversation include Eckhart Tolle (The Power of Now), Shakti Gawain (Creative Visualization ) and Lynn Grabhorn (Excuse Me, Your Life is Waiting). --Gail Hudson
Book Description
Intention is generally viewed as a pit-bull kind of determination propelling one to succeed at all costs by never giving up on an inner picture. In this view, an attitude that combines hard work with an indefatigable drive toward excellence is the way to succeed. However, intention is viewed very differently in this book.
Dr. Wayne W. Dyer has researched intention as a force in the universe that allows the act of creation to take place. This book explores intention—not as something you do—but as an energy you’re a part of. We’re all intended here through the invisible power of intention. This is the first book to look at intention as a field of energy that you can access to begin co-creating your life with the power of intention.
Part I deals with the principles of intention, offering true stories and examples on ways to make the connection. Dr. Dyer identifies the attributes of the all-creating universal mind of intention as creative, kind, loving, beautiful, expanding, endlessly abundant, and receptive, explaining the importance of emulating this source of creativity. In Part II, Dr. Dyer offers an intention guide with specific ways to apply the co-creating principles in daily life. Part III is an exhilarating description of Dr. Dyer’s vision of a world in harmony with the universal mind of intention.

The Best Book (review by Parise, age 6).......2007-10-14
I really liked this book because I like books with adventures in them. I didn't want to stop reading it. I really like Lucky because she is funny. Miles kind of acts like a three-year-old and not a five-year-old, but it didn't actually upset me. My favorite part is the part when Lucky is in the dust storm. The adventure is really cool.
The higher power of lucky - KcSrOcks.......2007-10-12
Lucky hasn't had it very well. Her father had abandoned her. Even her mother died in the desert. And Lucky now lives in a tiny dusty town of about 43 residents.
Lucky Timbler was a ten year old girl living in Hard Pan, California.
In Luckys town there is not alot of impressed things there. There is a improvised beauty salon. A post office and a Found Object Wind Chime Museum. Also the visitors center. But if only she, Lucky, could find the Higher Power. Then she could stabilize her life.
Lucky doesn't feel stable at all. She lives with her guardian, Brigitte, a Frenchwoman and Lucky's father's first wife. Brigitte is homesick, she still speaks to Lucky with French terms and most importantly, has kept her passport. Lucky knows that Brigitte will in Hard Pan and then head back to France.
Brigitte and Lucky lives in a improvised home. Comprised of three trailers linked together and on concrete blocks. Lucky haso only one friend there in Hard Pan, a knot-fantatic boy named Lincoln. Lincoln is followed around by the sad 5 year old boy named Miles with a penchant for cookies and "Are You My Mother?"
Lucky remains to follow the tweleve step program. The next step after rock bottom, the getting control of your life step. Lucky decides to run away during the dust strom and taking a survival pack of her own design.Better leave than be left.
I think that this book is really good. Susan Patron is a great author. she never wants you to put the book down. Its that you never want ot stop reading. And she leaves you with a lot of questions when you finish some parts. I would recommend this book to everyone. And people who would like to read the new 2007 newberry book.

Not a Newbery.......2007-10-07
I have read 90% of the Newbery winners and I have to say that I was disappointed with this year's choice. Don't get me wrong, it is worth reading, but not worthy of this distinguished award. I just don't think it is a page turner for any age. While the characters are well developed, it just didn't spark for me. However, I read Rules, an honorable Newbery, and I felt this book was a better suited for the award. I really wonder how the judges choose their book. Sometimes, they are right on the money, Holes & Because of Winn Dixie, while other times they are off. Unfortunately The Higher Power of Lucky is not one of their better choices.

Ekhart Tolle's message is simple: living in the now is the truest path to happiness and enlightenment. And while this message may not seem stunningly original or fresh, Tolle's clear writing, supportive voice, and enthusiasm make this an excellent manual for anyone who's ever wondered what exactly "living in the now" means. Foremost, Tolle is a world-class teacher, able to explain complicated concepts in concrete language. More importantly, within a chapter of reading this book, readers are already holding the world in a different container--more conscious of how thoughts and emotions get in the way of their ability to live in genuine peace and happiness.
Tolle packs a lot of information and inspirational ideas into The Power of Now. (Topics include the source of Chi, enlightened relationships, creative use of the mind, impermanence, and the cycle of life.) Thankfully, he's added markers that symbolize "break time." This is when readers should close the book and mull over what they just read. As a result, The Power of Now reads like the highly acclaimed A Course in Miracles--a spiritual guidebook that has the potential to inspire just as many study groups and change just as many lives for the better. --Gail Hudson
Book Description
It's no wonder that The Power of Now has sold over 2 million copies worldwide and has been translated into over 30 foreign languages. Much more than simple principles and platitudes, the book takes readers on an inspiring spiritual journey to find their true and deepest self and reach the ultimate in personal growth and spirituality: the discovery of truth and light. In the first chapter, Tolle introduces readers to enlightenment and its natural enemy, the mind. He awakens readers to their role as a creator of pain and shows them how to have a pain-free identity by living fully in the present. The journey is thrilling, and along the way, the author shows how to connect to the indestructible essence of our Being, "the eternal, ever-present One Life beyond the myriad forms of life that are subject to birth and death." Featuring a new preface by the author, this paperback shows that only after regaining awareness of Being, liberated from Mind and intensely in the Now, is there Enlightenment.

Read with your spirit and not just with your mind.......2007-10-15
I never believed in spiritual "mumbo-jumbo" I have been and am still very practical, realistic and rational person. However one day I experienced spirit (alive peace within) accidentally and recognized that that's what I truly am. However my mind got very scared of that experience and I decided to forget all about it and carry on my life as usual.
However a lingering reminder and longing for that peace remained. Now I am in a stage where that longing can no longer be ignored or denied. My mind got confused with lot of questions and I found myself split internally. This book "The power of Now" literally found me and reached me exactly at the time I needed it.
Looking at title "Step by step guide to enlightenment", my mind smiled and said "how can enlightenment be described as step by step thing to do. This is absurd."
But as I read it, it made a lot of sense, I would see my mind getting quieter as I read and my spirit taking over. Every statement resonated as truth to the real me. Reading this book had effect of deep meditation to me.
I feel shift in my level of consciousness after reading and practicing the teachings.
This book is to be read with spirit / awareness / presence / consciousness. If you read with mind alone, you will miss the point, find it repetitive and boring.
If you have had experienced your true essence or have an intuitive feel that there is more to you than just mind in a bag of skin then this book will make sense to you and accelerate process of awakening.
After reading this book I also recommend book "A new earth .." by same author.
It changed the life of this scientist/engineer.......2007-10-12
I'm a scientist and an engineer. I get paid to analyze things and reduce them to basic, rational principles. Knowledge I can "acquire" is food I crave for my egoic self, but you know what? It's not food for my soul.
To my fellow compulsive "thinkers", I strongly recommend the audio version of this book. Play it in your car (where you can't take notes) and just let it wash over you. Over the next few weeks, play the entire book. Then play it again.
As you listen, try to set aside your natural talent for judging, categorizing, labeling, analyzing or acquiring. That stuff is great for figuring out how to work the coffee maker or earning a paycheck, but it's not going to get you one millimeter closer to the bliss that is your birthright.
There's a part of you that may rebel against what you are hearing. You may be tempted to hurl the CD out the window ("what garbage, what mumbo-jumbo"). Expect this and delight in it. That impulse is really quite funny. Listen to the book and you'll "get" why I say this.
Not logical, Captain........2007-10-12
I've read it more than once, to get his message and I agree that one can cleverly resolve vexing issues by simply being/stepping into the present. However, that is just a defensive tool to avoid depression and to turn on "happy apathy" when the going gets tough. Neat trick, but the "fluffy bunny" experience does not, in my opinion, guide one to spiritual enlightenment. It just guides one on how to selfishly step out of the icky game of life and irresponsibly leave the remaining writhing mass of humanity to their own discomforts. Slaves of sleep. Not logical Captain. Spiritual enlightenment would seem to be the creative taking of full responsibility for repairing the games of life so one never gets trapped again. Less tragic lessons. More wisdom in resolving life's little anxieties rather than ignoring them. Read Judge Thomas Troward for empowering creative enlightment.
The Power of Now, handbook.......2007-10-10
I find this handbook handy to refresh my memory after reading The Power of Now.
Book Description
This leading-edge book by
Esther and
Jerry Hicks, who present the teachings of the nonphysical entity
Abraham, is about having a deliberate intent for whatever you want in life, while at the same time balancing your energy along the way. But it’s important to note that the awareness of the need to balance your energy is much more significant than goal-setting or focusing on ultimate desires. And it is from this very important distinction that this work has come forth.
As you come to understand and effectively practice the processes offered here, you will not only achieve your goals and desired outcomes more rapidly, but you’ll enjoy every single step along the path even before their manifestation. As such, you’ll find that the living of your life is an ongoing journey of joy, rather than a series of long dry spells between occasional moments of temporary satisfaction.

Love the work by Esther and Jerry Hicks.......2007-10-09
I have been teaching and working in the field of alternative health for over 25 years. I ran a school of holistic health for eleven years. In all the courses I have studied and taught intention is the most powerful ingredient in everything. The information provided by Abraham is clear and precise and easy to apply in one's life. For some it is hard to comprehend that it is channeled work, but if you apply the teachings you will find it very transformational and healing.
The trick of course as with everything is to apply the teachings daily and make the teachings a habit. Just like yoga, tai chi, meditation or any practice you must apply them daily to receive a benefit. It doesn't work to simply read or understand the teachings. The Amazing Power of Deliberate Intent: Living the Art of Allowing
The Amazing Power of Deliberate Intent.......2007-10-06
Abraham is becoming clearer all the time. There is no longer any question of how to apply their lessons on universal laws. This book presents the dilemas we face in this 'reality' with easy to work approaches to creating the changes we want for ourselves.
Incredible.......2007-10-05
This may have been the best book I have ever read, but then I say that after I read any of the Hicks books. They are all life changing, life enhancing. All of us here at work read and talk about these books daily. We even have a weekly 'book club' where we discuss things we have read and practiced. These are our lifelines. I can't recommend them enough. The Amazing Power of Deliberate Intent has helped me in regards to my finances, getting fit and how I think about our government. Don't wait any longer. Delving deeper and deliberately.......2007-10-01
It took a closer reading of this book to fully appreciate it, having read 'Ask And It Is Given' and 'The Law of Attraction.' If you are new to these teachings, I recommend, you read one of those first in order to fully appreciate what is presented here. This book focuses on the NOW, in making sure you stay aligned with your higher non-physical self(and thus source energy/God/universe), moment by moment. Exercises and examples are offered to help you get back on track towards alignment no matter what your emotional state. Yes, there is some repetition from other books, but that is what it takes to "get it". And while I was initially disappointed that some of the same processes discussed in 'Ask..' were repeated here, I realized that these were specifically chosen given the theme of this book, and the fresh examples offered, provided another incentive to use them! For those who have understood the basics, and then get stuck occasionally, or want to ratchet up their alignment with source, this book is a must. For me, it reinforced some fundamental points:
i) that more important than want you desire, is how you FEEL about that desire, and the vibration you offer.
ii) feeling good about something or a situation is more important than being right or justified in your negative emotion/judgment of it.
iii) nothing is more important than feeling good.
(For those who are critical of 'feeling good' or see it as selfish while African children are starving, recognize that unless we feel good, we are unable to be of benefit to others or focus beyond our immediate needs, let alone anyone else's. Also, as we move up the emotional scale toward peace/love/joy, our perceptions of 'self' is also more likely to change to embrace all beings as part of the interconnectedness that is the Universe, and one with Source. This is more likely to result in creating more compassionate deliberate intentions and manifestations to benefit all beings!
Ultimately though, this book is about making the most of our time in this physical plane, using our consciousness and thoughts to keep us in alignment with source energy in order to experience joy and abundance.
Interesting, but..........2007-09-08
The channeled Abraham says nothing you couldn't actually have thought of yourself, and at times I get the distinct feeling that I have read this or that almost word for word elsewhere in much older books.
Now this may be 'coincidence' but we all know that pure coincidence does not exist. I doubt very much that all of its content was channeled, it just doesn't have the right feel and twist of phrasing about it.
Nevertheless, a nice book as an introduction for the novice to the magical approach of living life. To those new to the material this book can look like be and end all of learning, but it isn't, and there is much more interesting stuff out there. Once you have mastered the basics - feel free to progress and have an adventure in cosnciousness. Don't just consume, be.
I can also recommend The Wizards of Consciousness: Making the Imponderable Practical and any of the Bartholomew books like "I Come As a Brother": A Remembrance of Illusions. these too are easily accessible.
Book Description
There will be three, kin of your kin . . .
The wild cats have flourished in their new home on the banks of the lake for several seasons, and the Clans are growing strong and healthy with new kits. The time has come for three kits of ThunderClan to become apprentices.
Hollypaw, Jaypaw, and Lionpaw spring from a strong legacy: children of Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw, two of the noblest ThunderClan warriors, and grandchildren of the great leader Firestar himself. All three young cats possess unusual power and talent and seem certain to provide strength to the Clan for the next generation.
But there are dark secrets around the three, and a mysterious prophecy hints at trouble to come. An undercurrent of rage is rising against those who are not Clanborn, and the warrior code is in danger of being washed away by a river of blood. All the young cats' strength will be needed if the Clans are to survive.
. . . who hold the power of the stars in their paws.

Erin Hunter is losing her touch..........2007-10-15
The first series of warriors were the best books i have ever read. Firestar made a very likable main character, with a wide variety of great characters throughout, either challenging him. Tigerstar was a chillingly evil villain, that really made the danger seem real. The second series saw almost all the remaining characters of the first series die, leaving us with some new and not very well developed characters. Brambleclaw was a cool main charcter, and the third person narrative around Bramblepaw in Twighlight and Dawn was almost like seeing what Tigerstar felt when he was trying to take over Thunderclan. But it still wasn't as good as the first series. Now we have another series of Warriors that has went another generation away from Firestar. Actually i was surprised by how much the style of this series was like that of the first one. i think that all of the Warriors books are worth a read, and if Erin Hunter continues to write this way, she may save her novels from coming to a very boring end.
Hey, this is a good start!.......2007-10-10
I absolutely LOVED the origional Warriors series. I loved reading about Firestar and Graytripe. I got my paws ( ha ha ) on The New Prophecy and I read each of them. I really did like them, and I enjoyed reading about Brambleclaw, Squirrelflight, Leafpool and everybody else. I am patiently waiting for Firestar's Quest and The Secrets of the Clans, hoping they will be a good read. I never bothered to read The Lost Warrior, as my friend said it wasn't good. So I read Warriors: Power of Three. At times, I thought the blind Jaypaw, son of Brambleclaw and Squirrelflight, could be very annoying and mean at times, and that Lionpaw, his brother, was too cocky and was cooking up a Bluestar- Oakheart, Graystripe- Silverstream, Crowfeather- Feathertail, Crowfeather- Leafpool ( this guy has some relationship problems ) and Stormfur- Brook thing with this Heatherpaw from Windclan. Yep, total repeat. Getting old, that subject, if you ask me. And also, Hollypaw- their sister- seems to be the most regular one. Well, it is a nice read, though Erin Hunter seems to have lost a fraction of her touch. Anyways, I'd borrow it from the library instead of wasting twenty dollars on this book. Hope this review helped you!
Sincerely,

Well...............2007-10-10
Okay, I LOVE the origional Warriors books. I sort of liked the New Prophecy books. But this? Let's just say I think Erin Hunter rather lost her touch. Jaypaw is very annoying, and I wonder why can't he be grateful for once? Lionpaw is very cocky. And as for the thing with him and that Heatherpaw? It's a Bluestar- Oakheart, Graystripe- Silverstream, Stormfur- Millie, Crowfeather- Feathertail and Crowfeather- Leafpool ( this guy's got some problems ) thing. I mean, the lovebirds-in-different-clans thig. Hello, Erin Hunter? That's an old subject. Well, to be completely truthful it okay, I thought the idea with Jaypaw blind and with a special connection with Starclan was a neat idaea, but they didn't use it properly. I personally think Hollypaw is the only bright one suddenly. This was a book that was interesting enough to keep my eyes on the page, but not god enough to buy with twenty dollars. My advise- keep your money, borrow it from the library. I just hope that Dark River will be better. Anyways, I hope this review helped you.
Good!.......2007-10-01
I really think that this book kind of created a new writing style for all the series. I mean, there was one for Warriors, there was one for New Prophecy, and there is a new one for this, and I think that it is really good. I really think that the Erin Hunters outdid themselves on this one.
Great Book.......2007-09-19
I really liked the new Warriors book! I can't wait until the next book comes out. This book is by far Hunter's best book. Jaypaw, the main character, is angry most of the time because he believes his clanmates think he is weak. Jaypaw, Hollypaw and Lionpaw are the grandchildren of Firestar, Sandstorm, Goldenflower and Tigerstar, from previous books. And they are the children of Brambleclaw and Squirrelflight. Hollypaw becomes the medicine cat apprentice, but then realizes she has special abilities as a fighter just as Lionpaw is a fine hunter and Jaypaw has mysterious powers with StarClan.

Great book if you need a kick in the pants.......2007-09-05
This book reminds me of the old days when I was devouring everything written by Carlos Castaneda. The difference is that Mr. Ray doesn't talk about the actual experiences he's had with his spiritual teachers -- rather, he tells you a few things about how you should (and shouldn't) live your life.
While I have no problem with the principles Mr. Ray is teaching (I am somewhat familiar with most of it already), I cannot help being turned off by his writing style. I feel that Mr. Ray shows an emormous contempt for the lifestyle of the average person. He uses words like "whimp" and "wet paper bag" rather frequently. I find this arrogant and snotty.
Sure, it is easy to get negative feelings when you notice how some people live, but a person at an advanced level of spiritual achievment ought to have gone beyond such negativity.
Also he talks about how people and relationships are "dispensable". My spontaneous thought when I read this is: "This guy obviously never has had children!" If he'd had the experience of caring for a baby of his own, he wouldn't be able to talk so flippantly about others being "dispensable".
He talks a lot about how he fights his Ego -- and I cannot help but think: "Seems like the Ego is fighting itself".
If you want to read a very different book about spirituality, I strongly recommend "The Power of Now" -- also I urge you to read "Soul on Fire": Soul on Fire: A Transformational Journey from Priest to Shaman by Peter Calhoun. The latter book takes a shamanic approach to spirituality, but unlike Mr. Rays' book it is devoid of arrogance and doesn't talk down to you. (I hope Mr. Ray will forgive me for recommending a competitor!)
This is an excellent book.......2007-08-16
This is an excellent book, conveying the message in an easy to understand English (don't underestimate the depth of the subject by the easy read language). It's definitely a book to study. I enjoyed reading it the first time and gained insight but I will study it the second round.
Very easy to read book!.......2007-07-12
I really enjoyed this book. He took difficult topics and ideas and put them into a simpler form that is easy to understand and follow. I look forward to reading it again so I can make better use of it.
Great book for the modern mystic.......2007-07-03
Find Me: How Psychic Detectives from Around the World Have Banded Together to Find Missing People
This book is a great opportunity to learn how to be a modern mystic. It gives do's and dont's that help clarify what it is that is needed to walk the path. Well written, I have referred it to many of my students.
Great book.......2007-05-16
Great book, I enjoy the contents of the book. The author really nailed it in every chapter.
Book Description
EXCUSE ME, YOUR LIFE IS WAITING: THE ASTONISHING POWER OF FEELINGS picks up where most positive thinking books have left off, giving us the rather startling new information that every moment of our lives is governed by our EMOTIONS, not by luck, or hard work, or circumstance, or good thoughts, or visualization.
The material in EXCUSE ME has never been told before, because it was never known before, and clarifies why the majority of us have lived with all-too-empty bank accounts, tough relationships, failing health, and often spiritually unfulfilling lives.
In her upbeat, humorous, and somewhat irreverent style, author Lynn Grabhorn (who increased her income 830% in one year using these principles) shows us how, with this astonishing new data, to turn it all around and create the kind of life we've always dreamed of...not ten years from now, but RIGHT NOW.

its true...........2007-10-13
I have just finished this book it was roaming around my apartment for 2 months, I picked up the book one day while I was feeling as low as possible about my current circumstances, by the time I fifnished reading this book not only did I feel much, much better but amazing things had started to happen for me.... It has truly changed my life. I had always heard of the law of attration but never really understood it until I read this book, I am now hooked and want to learn everything I can about the subject. I have told everyone I know and they are now interested in following this amazing gift. Please be clear that My faith in GOD has not changed and I truly beleive in the higher powers that are far greater than us, this is just something for me to become a better and happier "me".
An entertaining book about the power of feelings.......2007-10-09
I read this book a while back and found it to be of great value to me. As other reviewers have pointed out, it perhaps could have benefited from some additional editing, but in my view it's the raw content that's key as opposed to focusing too much on the mechanics of the writing. I really liked Lynn's sense of humor, and her passion for the topic was obvious throughout the book. Was it repetitive in places? Sure, but many books in the personal and personal growth categories are like this. If the message is solid I don't see a problem with hearing it a few times within the context of the work. Because it's both informative and entertaining, in my own book I've included "Excuse Me..." as a "must read" for anyone on the path of spiritual growth.
ONE OF THE BEST.......2007-10-04
I have spent an entire year devouring books on the Spiritual Laws of the Universe, you name it, ive read it. I am finally understanding the concepts now and my life feels great. I started with This book "Excuse me your life is waiting" then went on the read EVERYTHING (thanks to the recommended reading list on the back page of The Attractor Factor, thanks Joe!!) including many FANTASTIC Authors including Abraham/Hicks, Wayne Dyer, Florence Scovel-Shinn, Ghalil,Mike Dooley. and many many others, and the thing is Lynn gives techniques to incorporate with what All of these Great Great people are teaching. We do have to RAISE OUR VIBRATION, We have to FEEL GOOD. Postitive thoughts/images/feelings will GIVE US positive events/things in our lives. The thing is Lynn gives us WONDERFUL Techniques to use, I have found myself now going back to this book and reading it again and just LOVING it, it is a must must must read (and practice) to compliment your other readings. GOD BLESS YOU LYNN.
Law of Attraction does not work.......2007-10-01
I absolutely love this book, I have read it several times but the entire premise is flawed.
In chapter six she writes that she "hired a salesperson that was more into lack than I was (naturally; that was all I could attract)" and at the bottom of the same page she writes "It was somewhere right around that emotional low when a bunch of my all-too-enthusiastic friends began insisting I look into this material they had gotten hold of about the Law of Attraction".
Those two sentences are contradictory. If the only thing that she could attract was someone focusing on lack, how would it be possible for her to attract her friends that were focusing on abundance. If the Law of Attraction were a law of the universe, as she states, either she would attract one but not the other. She can't have both.
While I love her story and the inspiration of how things can be turned around in one's life at the drop of a hat, I love the explanation that conditions and circumstances are unimportant, and I have no doubt that her experiences were true and that the "suit of well being" where nothing can harm you is possible, I cannot believe that it came about by using the Law of Attraction. It would have been violated for her to get the information to her in the first place.
I believe that what happened was that the Expanded Self, as she calls, just got tired of playing with the situation that it had created and just created a totally different scenario, only it used the Law of Attraction as an excuse to do so, and make her think that the Law of Attraction was responsible for her turnaround when it has no value whatsoever.
