Book Description
Recorded history is a finely-woven magic fabric of intricate lies about events predating the sixteenth century. There is not a single piece of evidence that can be reliably and independently traced back earlier than the eleventh century. This book details events that are substantiated by hard facts and logic, and validated by new astronomical research and statistical analysis of ancient sources.

Calculations are only as good as your numbers.......2007-08-03
Yes, we can all agree that mainstream history is nearly 100% BS due to politics, economics, ego, problems with dating techniques, and various conspiracies. Agreed. But, I've been researching the distinct possibility that human history (in terms of civilizations) are much more ancient than we've been told, so coming across this book was very interesting to me. I wondered how Fomenko could be wrong (if at all) because he is very persuasive in his presentations. Then it dawned on me. If at previous times in prehistory, due to the various catastrophies that are well documented (comets, asteroids, planetary disruptions, plasma discharge, pole reversals, etc) the Earth was in a different position in relation to the sun, different tilt on its axis, different orbit, different rotation (in terms of velocity and DIRECTION), and the continents were in different positions, then would this not cause the ancients to see the sky (constellations) differently? In other words, is Fomenko making erronious assumptions about the physics of the Earth in pre-history, which then corrupt his data with regards to dating the relevant astrology? The last event to seriously disrupt our planet occured roughly 3500 years ago, according to other good researchers, so is it possible Fomenko has been confused by this? The vastly different physics of our planet in the not so distant past may explain this confusion, which is not to say the "mainstream" version of history is correct; on the contrary. I am not an expert in these fields, but wanted to see if this idea could spark discussion.
Pants on fire?.......2007-07-19
Will people ever read before spamming? Yes, Jesuits could not rewrite world history alone, they had help. Anyway, Dr Prof Acad A.Fomenko does not point to jesuits as the driving force of world wide history manipulation in published volumes 1,2,3;, actually he barely mentions the poor devils. Check it with 'Search inside' feature, please. China is rarely mentioned either, in fact, Dr Fomenko is completely eurocentric. Right, his theory contradicts all mainstream schools of history, because in their actual state they are all built on blatantly erroneus chronology. You don't need a mysterious cabal (conspiracy) to falsify history, the falsification is its modus operandi. It is inherent to history(ians) to falsify (distort) events, as it is inherent to humans to boast as it is inherent to power (authority) to legimize itself by referrring to glorious past made to its own order. Dr Prof Fomenko and team have identified scores of instances of such manipulation in Russian, European, etc.. history, and delivered valid statistical proof thereof. His own 'reconstruction' is completely another story. Forget c14 as a valid method of dating. W.Libby has initially discovered a brilliant method of INDEPENDENT dating. Too bad, c14 method has become a joke after a forced marrige with dendrochronology with consensual chronological scale inbuilt. Radiocarbon method can't stand blind tests, but is so very productive as a rubberstamp.
Accepted History & Chronology Must Be Changed. .......2007-04-09
There is no doubt that history as most know it is a sham, & institution's version of History both University & Church is fradulent & inaccurate. Everything was established with an agenda, The real "Dark Ages" are now when we have access to incredible amounts of information past authorities & more important 'common folk' didn't have but our institutions & educators are slow to evolve because of what has ignorantly & arrogantly been taught for too long. This is on many subjects not just Chronology.
For anyone to question "Why would a Mathematician have anything credible to say of History?" The answer is from Dr. Fomenko's preface in the book: "It would be worthwhile to remind the reader that in the XVI-XVII century Chronology was considered to be a subdivision of Mathematics." These volumes could possibly be some of the most important works to date & should be read by everyone with an interest in History, especially professors & educators who have a duty to the public. I have read both books & must say that 'Chronology 1' has some very eye opening & revolutionary information. Even if these volumes are part true the implications are profound & opens the doors to further investigations & questions which must be done. I speak several different lanquages & must say the logic Dr. Fomenko uses with "inflection" of words & words being read from left to right in one region & right to left in another then written backwards, the removal of vowels & get down to basics of words, or different cities & locations having the same name etc. is correct. Vowel usage has always been optional & varied, actually complicating linquistics & study. The first thing one has to understand is that words never had a fixed spelling in history like we do now, the spelling of words was mutable & regional, as well as names & titles of people were vast, varied & changed, NOTHING WAS FIXED or understood linear. Matters of Life & Death as well as financial profiteering yesterday & today were & are made with ignorant, illogical & conspiratorial views of history & reality, it's time people get closer to the Truth & society collectively grow up.
Very Interesting.......2007-03-07
It is a good proposal and I believe it will mature into something even better in the future. I think it deserves to be read.
History as Science Fiction.......2007-01-10
Anatoly Fomenko has written a very intriguing book, full of pictures, charts, and computer 'proof' of his thesis: backwards of AD900 we don't really know what happened or when. Between AD900 and AD1600 there is more certainty, but there is still a lot of fuzzy ground, and things don't get reliable until we get past the 1600's where the printing press made it very difficult for the perpetrators of this timeline manipulation to change anything that had been committed to print. The Dark Ages did not happen. Books were burned for a reason. One organization has doubled the actual length of its existence by expanding the real chronology. Read why.
I had always wondered why Christ died about AD33 and yet men waited until the 11th century to form the Knights Templar, the Cathars, etc and go after the Holy Land by force. Why the 1000 year gap? Turns out there wasn't more than a 10-12 year gap and he proves it using astronomy. This also implies that the planet is not as old as we have been told, and current Christian and other creationist scientists are already championing that idea without being aware of Fomenko's book. The two groups, creationist scientists and the Russian mathematical analysts corroborate each other. Fascinating.
Of course, all this flies in the face of what we have been told traditionally is the 'proper' chronology of western civilization, and most readers will experience 'cognitive dissonance' in reading this book. It means that our history going backwards from AD1600 becomes progressively more incorrect and unreliable until it cannot be trusted at all... in the space of 700-800 years.
Naturally, the curious, open-minded reader will want to know WHO did this, WHY, and did any of the events we think of as really ancient ever happen?
Dr. Fomenko is a respected scientist/mathematician at Moscow State University who has already answered these questions to the satisfaction of his initially skeptical colleagues. Most of them are now believers, a few still refuse to believe (the usual diehards), and of course the western press has ignored Fomenko's work -- for obvious reasons when you read the book. The ones who perpetrated this chronology ruse have a lot to answer for. They are still with us. That's why this book is a well-kept secret.
I gave the book a 4-star rating because I was unable to check out some of his claims; those I checked were as he said. But if even 1/3 of his claims are true, this punches a big hole in what we think is our history, the meaning of western civilization, our educational process (for repeating the ruse as gospel), and the trustworthiness of the organization that perpetrated this ruse, well-intentioned or not.
This book relates to current research into a Young Earth paradigm, to John Keel's discoveries about our planet, and Fr Malachi Martin's insights (in his now out-of-print books). We are indeed sheep who are manipulated and kept ignorant -- for a reason. While knowing what these men have to say may be the "booby prize" (as in: 'what can you do with this knowledge?'), it will provide interesting reading. Didn't someone say: "...and the Truth will set you free."?? For you to judge if this book contains the truth.

Where are the states ?.......2007-03-11
This is not to judge or grade this book on American Government.
But it is true that I looked for something which I consider an essential element of federal government, and I did not find it her, and not in other presentations of American government either.
Namely, there is no systematic presentation of the division of legislative (and administrative) powers between the federal and the state level, and there is no information either on fiscal federalism, the division, between the two levels, of collecting and of spending public money, and of their respective degree of autonomy in doing so.
It is easier to find information on some of these aspects in Wikipedia than here, which I found disappointing.
There you are,
Best, C.Deubner
Good for basic knowledge, but bias still shows.......2007-01-27
Relatively easy to understand explaination of the basics; however the author's political bias is definitely there and comes out repeatedly in his highlighted examples, which overshadows what he should be trying to illustrate.
Interesting and Informative.......2007-01-04
This book is an excellent guide to the American Government system. It covers historical events surrounding the writing of the Constitution and reveals personal information on the founding fathers. This book is an interesting read and a great companion book to AP Government Classes for High Schoolers or anyone who would like to have more information on the political roots and processes in America.
Great read for anyone/everyone.......2006-09-12
Whether starting to explore the American government's workings or brushing up, this is a great guide. Nick Ragone's straight-forward approach breaks it down, creating a refreshing, interesting read.
Another great college read!.......2005-09-29
This text is great for the 100-level Econ course; includes almost everything one would want to know.

A great book with a great message!.......2007-05-09
This is a very sweet book with fun illistrations. it is one of our two year old daughters favorite books! Highly Recomended
Lovely illustrations accompany an important message.......2006-10-01
My almost 2-year old is very fond of Karen Katz's artwork. We have several of her lift-the-flap books, which are really fun for my daughter and we always enjoy interacting with Karen Katz's "kids". Can You Say Peace offers the same fun, eye-catching artwork that makes Katz's books colorful and unique, but also offers the opporunity to talk about peace on a very basic level with even the littlest kids. I love to hear my daughter imitate me as I say the word "peace" in the various languages in the book and she enjoys the pictures, the words, and the simple story. The last page of the book shows all of the kids from the story together on a 2-page spread and my daughter loves to match each child up with his/her word for peace. Lovely illustrations, lovely message. This is one of our current favorites, and as a mom, I so appreciate the simply presented yet important message!
Book Description
Fully revised and updated, this unique chart book puts nearly 50 years of international hit music into perspective at a glance. It compares the development of rock and pop in America and Britain by listing all the US and UK Top 20 charts-side by side, month by month-through March 1999. Each song is listed with name and nationality of its artist or group; current and previous month's position; record label; weeks on the chart; and simultaneous US/UK position. This fun and easy-to-use book is studded with enticing pop star trivia, photos, historical chartfacts, musical milestones, and more.
Customer Reviews:
Update this book!.......2007-08-27
I really love this book and pop/rock music fans will spend hours with it...HOWEVER this book really needs an editor to catch those little mistakes, ie, its "Topsy II" (Cozy Cole) not "Topsy Li"; "Affair of The Heart" (Rick Springfield) not "Affair of The Night". And with each succeeding edition, the charts need to be updated, (Britney Spears, for instance, has had more than one hit- "Baby, One More Time" listed as first and last both right off the bat in each succeeding edition! Adam Ant had a US Top 20 hit with "Goody Two Shoes",(1983) so why is the book listing "Room At The Top"(1990)as his first and last, just as it did with "Goody Two Shoes"?), the listings need updating, not merely added onto. Again, this is a book worth its weight in gold...but it could be SOLID GOLD with a thorough revisioning, revising.
A great way to see popular music.......2005-12-27
I love this book because it is a great way to compare and contrast the music scenes in the United States and the United Kingdom, as well as some music history tidbits and photos as well.
No music fan's library should be without this book, especially if you have a collection of CDs from the United Kingdom as well as the United States.
This is also a great way to try a new singer out, by checking out their singles output.
Not up to Joel Whitburn but an interesting variation.......1998-10-19
A variation on pop-chart history books, McAleer summarizes a month's worth of charts into a single top twenty. Each page contains 3 months of singles charts, with the even numbered pages showing UK charts directly opposite the same month's summary in the US. The margins are filled with the music trivia of the day. The odd format of monthly charts exaggerates the chart success of songs that were around at the start of the month, but hurts songs that peaked in mid-month. Also odd, each country's chart also include a cross-reference to the WEEKLY position in the other country. But as a nostalgia tool, it's great fun to see what songs were popular in a given month, such as a birthday, wedding or graduation. Also includes an All-time US 100 (with The Twist at #1) and UK Top 100 (where Rock Around the Clock reigns), and cross reference by song title & artist.

Essential reading for players and collectors. 7-1/2 inch. x 9-3/4 inch.. Hardcover
Customer Reviews:
Lightweight but interesting.......2006-04-17
This book is a more lightweight, introductory version of the book "Rickenbacker" by Richard Smith. However, this book is interesting in its own right, with photos of different Ricks to those shown in "Rickenbacker". Additionally, it's all in color, which is a plus. While by no means comprehensive, this is still an interesting read and essential for anyone who is a Rickenbacker fanatic, like me. I bought this book brand new at list price 10 years ago in a bookstore, I can't believe the price it's going for now!!!
not nearly complete.......2002-09-30
The real complete history of Rickenbacker is found in Richard Smith's "Rickenbacker: History Of The Rickenbacker Guitar," which I would recommend over this book. This book, like most of the Bacon and Day books, is fine, as far as it goes; the only problem is that they never go quite far enough. There's never enough hard info in a Bacon and Day book, and that's true of this one as well as all their others. I will say one thing though, lots of terrific pictures. But that's about it. If you want to know the story behind one of America's foremost guitar companies, you need to pick up Smith's book. This is mostly useful as a picture book.
Great... but could be Better!.......2001-09-30
I really enjoyed the book. However, I wish the authors had included the company's bass guitars as well. A new updated edition is greatly needed.
Very Interesting.......1999-03-25
Lots of useful info on Rickenbacker guitars, but I was disappointed that there was no information of Rickenbacker Electric Basses
Great book for Rickenbacker lovers!.......1997-12-30
So you are a Rickenbacker fan? Well, this is the book you have been lookin for. Every detail about these electric guitars is here, with lots of pictures, models and more! Just buy it, you will not regret it!

Good Concise Book, cuts to the chase.......2006-05-25
This is one of the best TOEFL or TOEIC books I have seen, and the best I have used definitely. There are 30 lessons, and most can be done in 1 hour, or up to 2 if you have a lot of discussion or slow students. It can even be used for advanced students as a brush up and conversation/listening book. The CD's are good and it contains exercises and explanations for listening, reading, identifying photos, etc.
Good solid book and cd.......2005-08-19
This book was useful for me--the picture problems were a little easy, but
the TOEIC picture section is pretty easy too. I would have like to see more
discussion on the grammar section--and more difficult reading passages--
but all in all, this book served its purpose--to introduce the whole test. Finally,
I liked the way that the book used the 30 day schedule, even though it of course takes more than 30 days to get your English up to high level TOEIC score.

The Spice Cookbook.......2006-09-19
My husband introduced me to this cookbook over 30 years ago and it has been a favorite ever since. The recipes are flavorful and easy to make. The section on spices is very informative and helpful. The only thing I do differently than spelled out in the recipes is to use fresh onions instead of dried.
The Spice Cookbook.......2006-09-09
This book is favorite of my mother's and was given to me. I am now sending a copy to my daughter. The recipies are outstanding.
Increasingly Rare CookBook.......2005-09-21
I have had to replace this cookbook, because I have used it so much...I enjoy the artwork.
I am reminded of how at one time, food might have been very bland without spices.
I cherish this book and hope I will not have to replace it again...
If you find one, buy it...at ANY PRICE!
My favorite cookbook I use all the time.......2005-01-05
This cookbook was a gift from my mother. I have always used it for over 34 years to find unusual or special recipes. After I made several recipes that caused my mother (a wonderful cook) to rave, she said that she wished she had kept it for herself, instead of giving it to me. Recently, I found 5 used copies of the book that I bought for my two daughters, my daughter-in-law, two nieces, and my sister-in-law. It is the best cookbook. Too bad it is out-of-print! I wish the binding were made of steel, because I have had to mend mine several times--it is loved and cooked to pieces.
used this cookbook for 20 years!.......2003-12-16
My mother and her two sisters each received this cookbook in the sixties for a Christmas present, and I was lucky enough to end up with one. This has been my "flagship" cookbook...the one I turn to again and again. The stories about spices are interesting, and every recipe I have tried I have used over and over for company as well as everyday meals. There is enough basic cookery information for even very new cooks. I want to give a copy to my daughter so this can be a legacy cookbook.

Informative and Understandable.......2006-05-23
This is a great book for adolescents. The daily devotions are short enough to keep their attention, and sends a message that they can apply to their everyday lives without being preachy. Each daily devotion gives an accurate and precise story of the Bible. It's a great tool for children to learn about the Word of God in a manner that they can understand and relate to. Great book.
Highly recommended.......2002-12-20
This book makes a wonderful reader for ages 7-12.
This is not a story Bible, but actual Bible verses especially translated for younger readers, also known as the International Children's Bible. Because this Bible was intended for children to read independently, certain inappropriate Bible passages are not included. Readings are given for a five day week and for fifty-two weeks. Each day includes the scripture reading, a color illustration, a brief synposis of the reading, a suggested prayer, a suggested memory verse, and a black and white photograph of a child.
Great for children's devotions.......2000-04-09
What makes this book better than the traditional Bible story books is that it uses actual Bible passages. That way kids get used to reading the Bible. The translation is easy for kids to understand, and it's about the right length for a child to read every night. It's perfect for a parent to read to a child aged 5-7, and for a child 8-10 to read independently. Some of the drawings are a bit old-fashioned, but in all it's a great resource for getting children into the Word of God.
