Love it!.......2007-09-08
I have been searching for months for the right baby book and my mother and I found this one. It has everything that you could dream of from all of the firsts to the little things that we sumtimes forget. It has a great binding and is great for a boy or girl. My cusion is getting ready to have her first child also and I plan on this being the book I get for her. The only draw back is that it doesn't have a lot of room to write about the 2nd- 5th birthday but I plan on creating a scrap book to go with it so if you want to be able to add more about those birthdays try to be creative.
THE baby book of all baby recording books!.......2007-04-26
I had this book for my son and bought one for my second son this year. It's such a perfect size and contains the right amount of recording pages from year one through school grades. You can't go wrong with Susan Branch ~ her artwork is so charming.
An amazing keepsake.......2006-07-05
This is an amazing keepsake book. When I first read through this book I was so moved and touched by the kind, gentle words and poems. This book is so warming and beautiful I recommend it to everyone who's looking for an amazing memory album. It's just wonderful. The words and illustrations are light in color but meaningful and to the point. I am sorry I couldn't get one for my other two children.
I Have One For Each Of My Six Kids.......2006-06-27
My mother gave me a copy of this book for my first child born in 1994. I am a little picky about things such as baby books and I loved this one. The illustrations are darling. The pages have little quotes and drawings in the corners. The author gives some pages with specific things to write about and many empty pages for whatever you want. I have just received my sixth copy for my last child. I love this book. I still pull out my now twelve year old's book and read it. It has congratulation cards, birthday cards, his first teeth, locks of hair, his birth announcement, and those of his siblings stuck into it,- yet there is still a little space to write a little something more.
You will enjoy filling this wonderful book for your bundle of joy!.......2005-11-08
i bought this book for my baby boy and i've got to tell you all, you will not regret buying it. from the very first day you found out you were pregnant, to the time he moves inside your tummy, to the day he/she gets born, info. about their weight length through different stages to teething, favorite food, foot and hand prints..etc. no kidding, YOU'LL love this book. i've bought also "winnie the pooh keepsake book", wasn't as good as this one though. it's the best so far :)

Based on the popular bedtime story Guess How Much I Love You, My Baby Book is a delightful way to record and cherish the important events of your baby's first two years. Big Nutbrown Hare and Little Nutbrown Hare return to scamper through the pages, adding just the right touch of whimsy to this charming scrapbook. Divided into sections such as "Up and About" and "On Vacation," the book is enhanced by the well-known declarations of Little Nutbrown Hare. "Guess how often I fell over! Oops-a-daisy!" he says, balancing himself on a tree stump under "My First Step." Anita Jeram's soft watercolors and expressive line drawings are truly heartwarming without ever being saccharine, and the baby-book section ideas are refreshingly innovative. With ample room to record everything from baby's height and weight to the price of a newspaper on the date of baby's birth, and plenty of space to add photographs, My Baby Book is one of the best available. --Aimee Damann

What a great gift!.......2003-08-17
I received this book as a gift with my first son. Being a big fan of Guess How Much I Love You?, I thought it was perfect. Now that I recently had my daughter I had to immediately purchase one for her. It's too cute!
"Baby Book" review.......2002-07-03
I purchased this book for my son just before he was born, knowing that I wanted the perfect baby book to document all of his "firsts". Once I saw this one, all others paled in comparison. It had an adorable theme, without being "too cutesy" like many others. I am now about to give birth to my second child and am having the most difficult time finding a different book for this baby which compares in quality and design with "Guess How Much I Love You." I may just have to purchase a second!
We loved it!.......1999-10-20
I originally bought this book as a gift for my husband on our first Valentine's Day. The simplicity of the story is what has made it so endearing to us both. We now have a son that we enjoy sharing this very same book with, as well as various other products featuring "Little Nutbrown Hare". Thank you for such a wonderful story and adorable illustrations.
This has to be the best baby book I have ever seen........1998-05-06
I have to admit that I am a real lover of bunnies; however, this has to be the best baby book I have ever seen. This is a book that I would love to give as a gift to every mother to be that I know. Thank you.

Absolutely beautiful book - but for parents with older children, not babies.......2006-05-30
This book is beautiful, gorgeous, colorful, well done, has thoughtful questions. But it's more a book for when your children are older and you are looking back on your memories of their first years. Some of the questions can't be answered until your child is several years old. I'm looking for a newborn record book and so returned this one and will order Land of Milk & Honey's First Five Years book. Also, while this book is very pretty and nice, it doesn't have a lot of writing space for recording memories. You could only fit a few sentences in the lines, so if you're a big writer you might need a bigger book.

This memory scrapbook is a wonderful way for kids and parents to share memories and spend time together, creating a treasured family keepsake. They'll spend hours together completing a family tree, comparing likes and dislikes and sharing secrets. Designed like the other books in this popular series, there are lots of places to draw, paste in photos and write. There's even a pocket at the back to hold letters and souvenirs and a die-cut space in the front cover for a special photo of grandfather and child! A great family gift -- especially for Mother's Day.

Great for single mothers by choice!.......2000-08-26
Although nice for documenting any mother and child relationship, this is especially nice for single mothers to have a scrapbook with all the same info as a regular baby book but no reference to a father. Even the family tree page is only the Mom's relatives.

My Mother and Me.......2000-05-11
I purchased this scrapebook for my 4 year old daughter. It is a simple way to record special names, events, family information and photos for you and your daughter. I found it great, since I don't have time to prepare a "baby book". My Mother and Me allowed me to record special names, and events together with my daughter. I found the special family time a real plus.

Great Value.......2003-04-27
I already have a review on this.. have bought this baby book twice already and it is by far the best looking baby book out there for the money. Will recommend to everyone!
Great Value.......2003-04-27
I bought this for both my boys! It is the best deal on the net and if I have another child, I will buy again (maybe with a different cover).
Guess How Much I Love this book?.......2002-04-26
We had searched everywhere for a book in which to record our baby's special information. Since baby is due October 22, we wanted to get one we could fill in with family information, and continue to fill in once he/she is born. A lot of the books we found had religious connotations which we didnt want, or the illustrations were not to our liking, or the layout just wasnt appealing. We love the fact that this book is laid out from the baby's point of view instead of a parent's like all the others we looked at. The illustrations are soft and appealing, and the little characters are totally loveable without being too cutesy and sweet. We think our little one will enjoy reading about himself once he/she gets old enough, and we sure are having fun filling in the information!
Not What I Look For In A Baby Book.......1999-11-06
I have always enjoyed the book Guess How Much I Love You and thus ordered the baby book for our new child. The book is very traditional and although I enjoy the illustrations and the story lines, I was dissapointed with it as a baby book. There is not even a space for any religious ceremonies, like baptism. The space for a birth announcement is extremely small, and there is not even a space for Baby's First Haircut. It also leaves little room for creativity, pictures and adding your own baby memories. I ended up ordering another baby book.
One of my favorite children's book ever..........1999-09-24
As a new mom I thought the book captured the overwhelming love a parent has towards their child. I don't agree with other people's reviews that said they thought the book was disturbing because the parent was trying to top the child's feelings therefore making him feel inferior. It's a book people! Let's not over-analyze a simple, innocent story.

Perfect gift for older siblings!.......2006-07-24
This book is absolutely adorable! It is perfect for older siblings, girls or boys, no matter what the age. My 8 year old son and 9 year old daughter had so much fun filling in their books at the hospital when their baby sister was born. The pages are easy to read, and most questions have fun mulitle choice answers, like: "Before my baby sister arrived I wanted a: a. a sister b. a brother c. twins d. a goldfish" . The questions are fun and the pages are full of colorful pictures, which kept the kids interested. There are also sections to add your own photographs, so I would suggest giving your a child a disposable camera and letting him/her take pistures to put in the book. This book is a lot of fun for the whole family and is a great keepsake for little sister to read when she gets bigger.
Highly recomended!!!

Book Description
The Zulu kingdom, created by Shaka kaSenzangakhona, lasted just over six decades before meeting the imperial might of the British Empire. Within six months the kingdom lay in pieces. A full military campaign, known as the Anglo-Zulu War of 1879 was required to ensure its demise. The British High Commissioner in South Africa, Sir Henry Bartle Frere, believed that the robust and economically self-reliant Zulu kingdom was a threat to this policy. In December 1878 he picked a quarrel with the Zulu king, Cetshwayo kaMpande, in the belief that the Zulu army - armed primarily with shields and spears - would soon collapse in the face of British Imperial might. The war began in January 1879. Three columns of British troops under the command of Lt. Gen. Lord Chelmsford invaded Zululand. Almost immediately, the war went badly wrong for the British.
On 22 January, the Centre Column, under Lord Chelmsford's personal command, was defeated at Isandlwana mountain. In one of the worst disasters of the Colonial era, over 1300 British troops and their African allies were killed. In the aftermath of Isandlwana, the Zulu reserves mounted a raid on the British border post at Rorke's Drift, which was held by just 145 men. After ten hours of ferocious fighting, the Zulu were driven off. Eleven of the defenders of Rorke's Drift were awarded the Victoria Cross.
These are the best-known episodes of the war, and Rorke's Drift inspired the classic film Zulu, which established Michael Caine as a star. However, the author delves deeply into the causes of the war, the conditions during it and the aftermath. Completely re-set, this is one of the most highly-regarded books on the period.

Best Coffee Table Book on the Subject.......2006-11-10
The Anglo-Zulu War is a subject often obscured from history and put under the broader picture of colonialism. But this book proves that the Anglo-Zulu War is something that requires in depth study; not only for its social and military implications but for its unique place in history. It has plenty of pictures, the most I have ever seen of the Anglo-Zulu War, and is well written with clear and concise information that historians and non-historians can enjoy alike.
Best account yet written by the most knowledgeable author.......1998-09-04
Ian Knight was inspired to study the Anglo-Zulu conflict in the same way I was: by watching Micahel Caine in the movie "Zulu". Readers may be surprised at just how accurate the movie was. And that's just one of several fascinating battles between two mighty warrior nations. There is no better author on the subject and this may well be the best of his work. READ IT!
