I highly recommend this book to anyone in the horse world. I own a small horse farm, and I have learned the hard way that you need to be very aware of equine law before you sell a horse (or board, etc). This is kind of a thin book, but it covers a lot and was easy to read. It's a small investment that may save lots of money and heartache in the long run! So no matter if you have one horse, or a hundred, you really should read this helpful little book!

This book really opened our eyes about equine liability. We are at the beginning of a long road to building an equestrian facility and this book really helped us get on the right path as far as liability goes. I would recommend this book to ANY horse owner, whether you have a business or just a backyard horse.

For the price, I would have expected to get a CD with form templates. The paper forms alone are good guidelines, but really not as helpful as I would have expected.
Legal Forms, Contracts & Advice for Horse Owners.......2005-11-04
The cover says the book comes with a CD that can be used with Microsoft Word. When I received my copy there was a holder for a CD on the inside of the cover but no CD in it. Since I bought the book in order to draft contracts, and I do not like to type, it is useless. I could not even find a telephone number to call to request the CD.
Legal Forms, Contracts, and Advice for Horse Owners.......2005-03-28
I purchased the book with the intent of being able to easily draft contracts for various types of horse owner activities. I was not pleased with the example contracts. The book is very poorly done.
For example, the partnership agreement was missing words and apparently sentences,and was missing major partnership points. Essentially,I determined that the writer never read the agreement once in print or ever drafted a useable business partnership agreement.
A beginning law student not knowing anything about the horse business could do a better job drafting the example agreements than the person who attempted to write this book.
So where's the software?.......2004-05-12
I bought this book, which has been very helpful for the start of my new enterprise... but.. the front cover says Software Version... am i missing something??? There was no software with the book. Am I to order it or something?? Other than that., very useful book..
VERY Disappointing!.......2004-03-19
I bought this book because I needed to have access to different types of contracts associated with my horse business. In the ads it states that the program works with Win 95 all the way up to Win XP. NOT SO! It ONLY works with Win 95 and Win version 3.1. To make matters even worse, the technical support number listed in the back of the book for problems is NONEXISTANT! Some of the tear out blank contracts are OK, if you have the time to tear them out perfectly then scan them into to your computer. In short, this product does you no good if you have a good computer. Find another source for your equine contracts!

This book takes the complicated, step-by-step directions found in all the other horse training books and provides ten common-sense rules that can be applied to every horse training situation. I loved this book. Have been reading lots of the natural horsemanship stuff, and so much of it is esoteric, badly written or simply makes you feel an incompetent idiot. Bruce Nock doesn't do this! It's simple and practical and starts working straight away. No secrets. Just do it. Thanks, Bruce
For the Dedicated Trainer not Newbie.......2005-09-21
Training with author is mandatoring in my barefoot trimming certification course, so I thought I would get an early jump on the reading. I am a confirmed clicker trainer, with clicker as an overlay, mostly on John Lyons training.
Definitely Nice to Have for the person very interested in training, animal behavior and the science behind it all. Perhaps not the first or second book to buy for a Newbie trainer who really wants to get started today!

I wish this book had been available five years ago when I first became involved with horses. Dr. Nock's "Ten Golden Rules" is the first book anyone interested in training a horse - or even owning one - should read. Except for clearly outlining a procedure for tactfully establishing your superior rank within your 'herd', this is not a 'How To' recipe book. Instead, Dr. Nock explains basic learning theory as it applies specifically to the horse. With the information this book provides you can better understand, evaluate, and implement any of the more detailed training programs promoted by today's top trainers, solve problems those programs don't address, or even develop your own training program. Learning the 'Ten Golden Rules' will benefit both you and your horse.

I have read this book twice. It is not for readers who assume that cops are the panacea to the down and dirty world of drug trafficking. The American people must put a stop to this insanity, like illegal immigration that's killing our country and its economy through cheap substandard labor and a sieve of cocaine through the porous borders. What the hell is wrong with this picture when we're fighting terrorism, yet letting illegals through unabated. Think about this serious danger to our security. Are Cuban cigars as bad as cocaine?? Crazy!

Author Rodney Stich requires documentation from those who select to confide in him ... his sources feel compelled to talk, to spread the word, about many unconscionable acts by Federal Agency personnel and other Government Officials. Rodney also offers advice and insight for people who may feel "under assault" by courts, or government personnel ... generally put (1) you have something they want (2) you know something and they don't want you to succeed ...
Rodney's book is very "readable" and is well-indexed. It's tough to put it down, absorbing subject and insights.

This is a very good book if you were shocked by the price estimates at the florist. The instructions in the book were very simple to follow. I would agree that the designs are very traditional but after you get the technique down you can change things up. With this book I was able to have over 400 roses at my wedding for under $400. There was no way I could afford even the corsages for each special person in my large family without this book, flowers from the grower, and doing the arrangements myself.

This book provides good basic information and instructions on the how-tos of wedding floral arranging. Offers info on fresh flower and silk flower arrangements. Generally the instructions are quite good- however the author did not provide enough information on attaching the boutineers and corsages.

I am VERY pleased with this book. Each arrangement shows a complete "recipe" for making it along with step by step instructions AND pictures. I will save hundreds of dollars on my wedding flowers thanks in part to this book.

I am a florist and I am always looking for new and exciting ideas. I was looking forward to some "Creative Wedding Florals" and I got a book that is a throwback to the 70's. The Material is very outdated and shows nothing new. I was very disappointed. If you are looking for "Creative

I ordered four or five books about Wedding Day flower arrangements, as I'm determined to do my own. When I received this in the mail, I was extremely impressed by how well everything is illustrated and explained. It makes it all seem very managable.
I highly recommend this one!

Each craft comes with a list of needed materials--very good. I see this as a basic 'how-to' for untrained crafters/high school wedding party on the cheap. If you think of changing some of the ideas for prom night, the real customer for this book is a high school junior

I'm so sorry that i didnt read the costomer review before i buy it, it is so disapointed and all what the costomer says about it is true, blus no any creative idea, this book didnt provide you with any idea that can make your wedding party special, dont waste your money on it and try to find another book.
Offers nice suggestions for various wedding crafts........1999-02-09
The book has some neat and wonderful creations but deals primarily with silk flowers for the crafts and it doesn't fully offer explanations or detailed instructions on some of the crafts. Most arrangements or crafts are primarily traditional older ideas, nothing with a contemporary touch for the 90's.
