Wonderful, Wonderful..........2002-07-31
I can't say enough about this book. Every recipe WORKS and is delicious. Recipes are rated on ease of preparation, whether the item may be frozen, prepared ahead - and how long the prep time and cook time are - and these are realistic times.
I would love to see a reprinting of this book. It was a major source of recipes when my children were growing up, and they remember it fondly. My original copy is just about worn out!
My favorite cook book for over 20 years.......2000-05-06
Having worn out two copies of Forum Feasts, I am ordering another. The recipes are interesting and manageable. From the Mushroom Hors d'oeuvre Turnovers (perfect for a cocktail party), to the Souther Burgers (great for a teenagers' get-together), to the Strawberry Torte (a wonderful dessert with which to end an elegant meal), friends have requested recipes from this book time and again. Many have ordered it. The notations at the beginning of each recipe as to how difficult it is, whether or not it can be done ahead, the preparation time, and the personal comments from the person who submitted the recipe, make this book a joy to use.
If you collect cook books or just have a few, this is the best book around.

Antiques from the Garden.......2001-04-12
This book is a history of antiques and architecture used in gardens since early times. Lots of great pics and very, very interesting to read and learn.
Book Description
For My Little Pony collectors, the task of organizing their massive MLP collections can be daunting. Unless blessed with a photographic memory, it is an endless process of trying to recall which brush, comb, sticker or barrette came with which pony and how to tell how many parts of their Paradise Estate or Dream Castle are they really missing. Compiled by a My Little Pony collector since 1981, this inventory provides a simple and comprehensive way for collectors or even novices to pony collecting to organize their collections and make sure their sets are complete. Available in a handy pocket size for easy transport to flea markets, doll shows and other pony hunting grounds, this guide allows you to carry the knowledge of everything you have and everything you need to complete your collection around with you so that final missing piece will never elude you again!
Customer Reviews:
My little pony collector's Inventory.......2007-07-25
Awesome book, very helpful when you already know your pony's name. Very thorough listing of all items to make complete sets!! I use it with my other book "The World of My Little Pony" which has pictures to help identify ponies that you don't know names of.
Well-organized yet error-ridden guide to MLPs.......2007-04-30
The "Complete Checklist," unfortunately, is very disappointing. It certainly would be helpful for beginners who have little idea of how ponies fit into sets; however, this information is available for free online. The primary disappointment is the staggering number of errors. I opened the book and immediately found dozens of ponies listed with the wrong ribbon colors and the wrong types and colors of brushes. Petty stuff, yes, but the whole point of the book really. And I only really know years 1-3, and there are TEN years of original MLP, so imagine how many errors I didn't even catch. Ms. DePiano is no expert in my opinion, despite her alleged lifetime of MLP lovin'.
Exactly what the title says..........2006-10-30
This is a great book to use as a complete checklist of the ponies from the US. My only problems with it are that I wanted a little more. While the book is exactly what it says it is, it would be nice if there were pictures. If not of the ponies, than of the brushes and accessories. And, ideally, it would be nice to have a price list. But other than that...I think this book is great!
a disappointment... i expected more.......2006-07-26
I was excited to find a collectors checklist for ponies but a little disapointed when it finally arrived in the mail. There are absolutely NO pictures, sketches, etc of any ponies whatsoever. The checklists seem a little incomplete and there isn't much of a description of each category listed.
To be honest the disapointment is really my fault bc the book is exactly what the title is: nothing but a checklist-- i'm not sure how complete though-- but if your a MLP collector there are some websites with checklists you can print out and pictures of each pony and extreme detail to each one. I would recommend saving your money or trying another MLP collector's guide.
Must have book if you are serious about MLPs.......2005-11-11
An excellent book for me - an enthusiastic but amateur collector - helps put all the collection into excellent order. Book is great - certainly pictures or even line drawings of items (combs etc.) would be even more wonderful! Highly recommed this book to all MLP collectors!

Book Description
Reading this cookbook is like taking a stroll through the Farmers' Market to gather a basketful of garden-fresh goodies for supper. The recipes and menus are ideally suited for a leisurely brunch behind adobe walls in a shady garden of lush foliage and a bubbling fountain, for a perfect picnic beside a cool winding stream. There are menus for a succulent Fourth of July barbecue and a panoply of contemporary Native foods inspired by the ancient culture of the Eight Northern Pueblos of New Mexico. The authors celebrate Fiestas de Santa Fe with a tempting buffet and divulge other food secrets for Santa Fe's myriad special occasions. A sampling of the healthful recipes include:
Sweet Roasted Red Beet Salad
Santa Fe Gingerbread with Tangy Poached Apricots
Chile-Barbecued Salmon with Jalapeño, Herb and Orange Relish
Tangy Goat Cheese, Chile and Pumpkin Seed Nachos
Golden Corn and Green Chile Soup
Summer in Santa Fe is more than an array of delectable menus and luscious recipes from The City Different. It's a celebration of the city's history, folklore, traditions, and cultural events. In the shadows of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, discover the old and the new Santa Fe.
Customer Reviews:
Delicious.......2005-10-03
This is a beautiful cookbook ... good enough to put on the coffee table. Delicious recipes that made me want to take another trip down to Santa Fe.
Truly a teaching cookbook.......2001-08-27
I have enjoyed this cookbook so much, that it has become my current favorite hostess gift! The recipes are wonderful, and I appreciate the variety of the suggested menus. Most of all, this book educates the reader with "Chefs Corner" tips and a lengthy explanation of southwestern cooking terms and proceedures. Learning how to properly roast vegetables has given a healthy boost to my repetoire, as well as introductions to other southwestern staples. The pictures are also very appealing~ this is just a delightful cookbook that I would highly recommend to anyone with an interest in colorful, healthy food.
Fresh exciting menus for great summer food - Santa Fe style........2001-07-22
I have used several of the menus, and have received rave reviews from all my guests. Everything I have made was FLAVORFUL,TASTY AND INTERESTING. Many of the recipes easily lend themselves to advance preparation - I prefer to spend time with my guests, and not cooking in the kitchen. There are recipes for all levels of expertise, and my 12-year old daughter has made several of the dishes. The recipes interpret historic Santa Fe cuisine in an innovative contemporary style. I am so happy to have added Summer in Santa Fe to my cookbook collection....
A Feast for the Eyes!.......2001-07-06
This absolutely gorgeous book immediately brought back memories of an idyllic summer stay I once enjoyed in Santa Fe. While the recipes themselves are quite nice, it is the photography, history of the city, and evocative intros to each section of the book that make this cookbook really stand out. The layout and design of the pages beautifully conjure the city too, with southwestern woodcut borders decorating each page. From the ripe, prettily plated blueberries on the cover, to the darling little boy in the giant sombrero in the fiesta section, this book is truly a feast for the eyes!
Sheer Pleasure.......2001-06-19
The photographs of Santa Fe and its Farmer's Market take the reader halfway to that beautiful place, but it is the smells and flavors that come from cooking these recipes, that transport the reader to the land of the high mesas, Georgia O'Keefe and crystal blue skies.
Having been fortunate enough not only to travel to Santa Fe several times in the past few years, but also to take classes from Janet Mitchell (the author) at the Santa Fe School of Cooking, I can recommend this cookbook without hesitation. It offers tried-and-tested recipes that yield a wide range of dishes and flavors unique to a very special part of the United States. I will be buying this cookbook for friends and family for years to come.

Makes a Great Gift.......2007-04-04
Creative projects for homemade Christmas decorations make this book a great gift.. If you can part with it!
Perfect gift!.......2007-01-18
I bought this book for my neighbor and when it came I wanted to keep it! She had recently visited Williamsburg and came back with stories of how she loved the Christmas decorating and wanted to emulate things for her own home.
I've never been to Williamsburg myself, but this book was beautiful! The pictures were professional (I've seen books where they were not) and there were instructions on how to make the decor yourself. Well worth it! I will probaly get one for myself for next season!
I love boxwood.......2006-10-14
Since I love boxwood growing in the yard and using the beautiful greens at Christmas, I found this book to be one of the most informative books I own about Christmas greens. The instructions on how to create many decorations for the inside and outside the home are very clear. The pictures are gorgeous. I have learned to make garlands, wreaths, centerpieces, swags, boxwood trees, and other lovely items. The book features many different types of greens to use for creating holiday decorations. I have taught many others how to make holiday decorations that are featured in this book.
Has a lot of good ideas........1999-01-24
This book has lovely ideas for decoarting using natural materials. I found many of the ideas could be done very inexpensively.

Wonderful remembrances!.......2002-02-13
This outstanding collection brought back fond memories of trips to New Jersey many years ago. Once I started reading it, I couldn't put it down.
Postcard look at N.J. is coffee table treasure.......2002-01-12
From Sinatra to Springsteen, Princeton to Pt. Pleasant and all 121 miles of Jersey Shore coastline this book rekindles long dormant memories for those who grew up in the Garden State or were clamdigger wanna-bees. Helen Chantal-Pike mixes insightful prose with picturesque views of the Great State of New Jersey. This is a must have for anyone who has salt water running through their veins. Excellent coffee table book that you can come back to again and again. Can't wait until Pike's next book, "Asbury Park: Glory Days 1890-1980" is published based on the quality of "Greetings from New Jersey. . ."
Eat This Book!.......2001-12-14
"Greetings from New Jersey, A Postcard Tour of the Garden State" is a hefty, gorgeous book that feels good to hold in your hands. New Jersey is one of the great postcard states, and author Helen Pike, between two covers, has made quite a handsome sandwich of it. From the diving horse of Atlantic City to the dining room of the State Reformatory in Rahway; from Thomas Edison at his West Orange office to the cute little Campbell's Kids, the tour is a colorful retro-joy that calms the nerves and sends the reader dreaming. Advertising, manufacturing, main streets, parades, disasters -- it's all there. And it's m'm! m'm! Good! With each card, Pike supplies an appealing bite-size commentary. As if the cards and comments aren't enough, Pike's essays are likewise terrific. The introduction to the book entertainingly deals with the advent of the picture postcard in general and its importance to New Jersey in particular. A closing chapter is titled "The Delights of Deltiology" (the study of postcards) and is a really useful introduction to the various categories of cards. It is perfect for people who wish to develop an interest in collecting. In short, "Greetings from New Jersey" is a book to keep close by and pick up again and again. It's really good enough to eat (which is why I bought two of them). It would make a great gift for almost anyone.

Product Description
In 2003, My Little Pony collectors had something to celebrate as Hasbro reintroduced their beloved brand of brightly colored ponies for a third time. For collectors, this third generation (commonly called G3) has not only recreated the thrill of the hunt, but also offered a chance to pass the hobby of collecting down to the next generation.
Summer Hayes has compiled the first guide to these new MLP items, complete with hundreds of full color photos of all ponies, accessories and playsets both with and without their packaging. With in depth coverage of each MLP item released since 2003 until today, online sellers or collectors will find on each page not only detailed photos for easy identification, but also handy checklists to keep track of accessories and other items that originally came with each set.
Covering all sets, variants, and special offers throughout the My Little Pony Celebration, Friendship Ball, Butterfly Island, and Crystal Princess sets, The My Little Pony G3 Collector s Inventory is designed to assist the collector of any age or experience level to identify, organize and complete their collection!
Customer Reviews:

My Little Pony Guide: Complete, User-Friendly, and Fun Fun Fun.......2007-08-23
This inventory is a toy collector (or kid's dream) come true! Each page is full of high quality, colored pictures with the name and description of the ponies IN YEAR ORDER of when they came out. A picture of the new in box ponies of EACH one is also featured at the bottom of the page!
This guide also feautres EVERY pony and My Little Pony piece from 2003-2007 when the book was published- If your little girl (or boy) loves the ponies, you would be at a loss to not purchase this book for them.
Can't afford to buy or purchase every pony out there? Well this would make a great addition to the pony collection and doesn't take up as much space and money as owning all the ponies!
Book is a WONDERFUL tool to have for collectors!.......2007-08-06
The pictures are nice and glossy with excellent descriptions of each item. SO many pages from the past few years of all the pony toys and playsets and she provides checklists next to each item! I was personally excited about getting this book and was lucky to get to meet Summer in person and have her sign it for me. :) I highly recommend this book. I will definitely be using it for years to come. Thanks so much Summer for a fantastic product!
FANTASTIC Resource for G3 Collectors!.......2007-06-22
This book is DEFINITELY worth it if you collect the current release My Little Ponies. Everything is very organized, with pictures of the different ponies both in their original packaging and removed from the box. Some even have detailed Cutie Mark pictures. There are notes about special European released items and the peculiar Mexican and Brazilian ponies, as well as those available for general distribution worldwide.
The only error I caught was a picture mix-up involving Fancy Hair ponies Royal Beauty and Rainbow Treat on page 112. Other than that, everything was perfect!
It is a fabulous paper resource to organize and catalogue one's collection.
This could also make a very good gift for children who like the My Little Pony toys, due to the pictures and interesting information, but beware--they could fall in love with one of the RARE ponies like Rosey Posey! ;) Of course, perhaps that would create a budding collector!
I can't wait to see a second or third edition as the My Little Pony line continues! Heaps of thanks to Summer Hayes for taking the time to get this guide together!
just got it today!!!!.......2007-06-22
this books even better than i thought it would be. my sister and i collect all these ponies since they came out in stores and we didn't know which ones we were missing. my mom wants us to sell them so we got this book so we could figure out what went with what because everything is all messed up and mixed up lol. this book is good for that because it tells you what comes with each pony and all their names and that stuff. The pics are all really nice and the whole book is in color with pictures of all the ponies both and in out of their boxes so its nice to just look at them. its a really big book , you could totally hit someone with and do some damage lol.if you love my little pony, this book is really fun!
