I bought this book as a gift for a friend who is a breast cancer survivor. However, I did read the book before I gave it to her. It was very inspirational, supportive and encouraging. I was greatly uplifted by this book, as I am by all of the Chicken Soup books. They are wonderful books and very needed in a world that tends to focus on the negative. These books are a great reprieve from some of the ugliness that we have to deal with in our every day lives. Thank you Jack Canfield.

I bought this book several months after I was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was a comfort for me to read about other experiences that were positive. It is a club that nobody wants to belong to but...it is a club filled with wonderful people.

This is a wonderful recipe book for chicken lovers. The recipes in the book are very easy to make and most of the ingredients are usually items that you normally have in your kitchen. I usually use 1 or 2 recipes from the book per week. Kids enjoy the meals just as much as their parents do. I hope that the book will come back into print. It is a shame that others can not enjoy these delicious chicken recipes.

Lots of recipes for a small book.......2001-12-11

If you have to eat low fat you know it can be rather tasteless sometimes. This book aims at giving you lots of variety and flavors to play with. You could make a different dish every day for quite a while and never repeat. Nice size print is easily readable and nutitional information is given at end of recipes for those who need or want to keep track.

I absolutely love this cookbook!.......2002-03-04

I bought this while on vacation at a discount book warehouse. So far, I have tried about 10 recipes and all but one of them has been FANTASTIC! The only one I didn't like was the Chicken and Broccoli loaves - they were a bit dry and to be honest, I think I was expecting more of a traditional meatloaf flavor.

Even recipes of which I was skeptical have turned out to be just delicious. I've had several other lowfat cookbooks and plenty of chicken cookbooks, but this has become my hands-down favorite. When I say these recipes are delicious, I mean absolutely yummy delicious!

If you love chicken (like I do) and want new and different ways to cook it, you can't go wrong with this cookbook. As my daughter described tonight's dinner (Sauteed Chicken with Carrots and Onions), it's "yum-a-licious!"

The Courage Muscle.......2005-05-13

As one who is symmetrically challenged, breast-wise as Spencer is, I promise this is a terrific book to read if you or anyone you love is diagnosed with breast cancer. In fact, even if no one you know has the disease, which is unlikely these days, it's a tremendously funny guide for getting through any of life's daunting little challenges. I'd say it is an absolute scream, but I don't want to scare you; it is an hilarious trip, packed also with good information about your diagnosis and what to expect. The humor shines through, a good thing in the worst of circumstances. Speaking of screaming, it put me in mind of a regular day after work when five of us ladies were hooked up to our portaports, getting our dose of poison, I mean chemo, when a four-inch cockroach scurried out from a corner and under a chair. We all hoisted up our legs (as best we could in those recliners) and started screeching and hollering for help. It was like, "Cancer smancher, this friggin dangerous beast just ran across the linoleum!" So, there are indeed laughs to be had--and more than fair are in The Courage Muscle. A great comfort.
