Customer Reviews:
Not as choppy as Contagion but still has its flaws.......2007-06-13
I'll try to review this without spoiling too much. This is basically the sequel to the Contagion Storyline. Apparently the cure found by Azrael in Contagion only makes the virus dormant and eventually mutates it into an even more deadly strain. The villain(I'm sure by looking at the cover you know who it is) is looking to spread even more viruses around the world including Gotham City. It's up to Batman, Nightwing, and Robin(Huntress steps in towards the end)to travel around the world and stop the bad guys from releasing the upgraded virus. The good thing about this book is that the story does not constantly shift from one subplot to another like Contagion. However it does have its weaknesses. After rereading it several times I still can't figure out Catwoman's role in the story. Basically she was captured and held at the villain's stronghold where he was planning his attacks. She escapes only to never be seen again in the story. Not only that, DC Comics makes it even stranger by not printing the whole story. Instead they print a couple pictures and some captions in an attempt to summarize it. Catwoman's appearance had no relevance at all. The only reason I can think why they put her in the story at the beginning was to show us the "wheel of plagues." But any reader would have figured out how the viruses were created because the wheel was reintroduced later on in the story. Overall it was still a good read. Maybe I read into it too much but I think Chuck Dixon was already teasing a Nightwing/Huntress love story. At one point she says to Nightwing: "Boys and their toys." Earlier on Nightwing tells Robin that he and Huntress are good at the "sneaky" stuff. I'm sure Dixon would have done a much better job if he was writing the Nightwing/Huntress story instead of Devin. This book is worth picking up if you can manage to find a copy. I managed to get one on Ebay for just $15. They should reprint this book considering they decided to the same to Contagion.
Wrong book........1999-02-22
The advertised book is "Batman: Legacy." However, the synopsis, and both customer reviews, are for an earlier graphic novel, entitled "Batman: Contagion." The aforementioned plague is released, confronted and eventually cured in "Contagion" and in "Legacy" the source is traced.
The Dark Virus RETURNS.......1998-05-27
Ras Al Guhl plans to unless a deadly virus upon the world...and only Batman, Robin, Catwoman, and Nightwing can stop him! Awesome artwork and plot line.

Customer Reviews:
One of My Favorite Cookbooks.......2007-07-05
Every recipe I have tried in this cookbook has been tasty - from the salads to the desserts. It's a bonus that they are healthy as well! Definitely one of my favorite cookbooks.
Good Tips on freezing foods - So far bland recipes.......2007-04-23
I read this book cover to cover as soon as I received it. There are some really good tips on freezing. What can/can not be frozen, how long to freeze, what types of containers to use, etc.
I thought the recipes themselves sounded ok, not exciting but tasty and healthy enough to start stocking my freezer.
I made 2 of the recipes this weekend and was disappointed at how bland they both were. I will definitely use Trim and Terrific as a guideline for recipes, but will add my own twist to infuse flavor via herbs, spices, salt, pepper.
My 10 year old has loved every meal!.......2007-01-20
As a working mom - I had gotten very bad about letting my 10 year old son dictate what was for dinner - he would want fast food or pizza and my husband who is a very picky eater has been taking chemo for almost two years - and his tastes changed. After using Holly's Eating Well Through Cancer during some of my husbands toughest time - I decided that as a New Years resolution it was time o cook healthy meals for my family during the week - I picked up The New Holly Clegg Trim & Terrific Cookbook and cooked from it three days this week - all of the ingredients I had in my freezer or pantry and my family loved them all. My son even had 2nds - if you only knew how amazing that is! These recipes are quick, easy, and delicious!
Using this cookbook almost exclusively.......2007-01-10
I purchased this book about a month ago, and have used it almost every night since then. I love the recipes! They are quick and easy to prepare, but also healthful and delicious. I had a question that I e-mailed Mrs. Clegg about a recipe in the book. I wasn't sure when to peel the shrimp in her recipe for Barbecued Shrimp (p.309). She responded very promptly in a lovely, personal e-mail. She explained that it was a Louisiana type recipe, which explains why this Yankee "Maine-iac" (my label, not hers) didn't know it! By the way, peel them when you eat it! lol After my hubby ate a few meals I prepared from this book he told me I could throw all my other cookbooks away! Try this book, you'll love it.
Fabulous!!.......2006-10-01
Simply love this cooking book! Nowadays almost nobody has much time for preparing healthy meals - but this fabulous cooking book shows how to prepare delicious AND healthy meals in less than 30 minutes in an easy way.
A must-have!

Customer Reviews:
In a Hurry? Here's a cookbook for your lifestyle.......2002-10-07
"Meals on the Move: Rush Hour Recipes" is sure to delight the tastebuds of anyone who tries the recipes. And the best part is that they are not only delicious but can be created in thirty minutes or less. The American Institute for Cancer Research was consulted on the preparation of the meals and many of the recipes designed to include extra fruits and vegetables. Quick, nutritious, healthy, tasty; what more could you ask for from a recipe book?
The front of the book has "Mix and Match Menus". For several given categories of menu types (Italian, Casual, Greek, Mexican, etc.) there are suggested Starters, Main Dishes, Sides, Salads & Breads, and Desserts so it is easy to plan a complete meal of complementary dishes easily.
Extras include a comb style binding so the book will lie flat when used, notation for several recipes on how to alter the recipe to make it even more healthy, nutritional facts, and Tips and Tricks.
Some absolutely fantastic choices include Spinach and Tomato Crustless Quiche, Mushroom Barley soup, and Potato Pizza (an excellent heat and eat breakfast too if any is left over).
A fantastic recipe book that should be in everyone's kitchen in today's hectic world. A highly recommended buy.
This is my favorite cookbook........2002-06-18
I love Mexican food and this book has so many recipes that satisfy my cravings for spicy food without the saturated fat of my usual recipes. I've made a number of these dishes and I'm just amazed every time at how flavorful they turn out. My favorite discovery was the Taco Soup (so easy and tasty!) and I find I have to double the recipe if I want any leftover to freeze. It seems the recipes have similar ingredients so shopping is easy and if I decide I'm not in the mood for chicken, I can usually find a pasta or pork recipe that uses the same ingredients. I also found the desserts to be high in flavor and low in calories and fat. I learned about the cookbook through a fitness segment on the news and I just can't say enough good things about this cookbook. It's the best purchase I've made in a long time!
For nutrition conscious kitchen cooks with time constraints.......2002-06-06
Meals On The Move: Rush Hour Recipes offers delightful, nutritious, and "kitchen friendly" recipes for quick to prepare recipes that will satisfy any appetite and please any palate. Enhanced with information on Nutritional Analysis and Diabetic Exchanges (drawn from the American Institute for Cancer Research); "Healthier Approach"; Food Facts; a Mix & Match Menu Planner; and a Tips and Tricks Section; Meals On The Move with its comb-style binding (allowing for the cookbook to lay flat upon the counter) is truly impressive. From Strawberry Bread; Broccoli and Cauliflower Salad; Glazed Salmon with Cantaloupe Salsa; and Stuffed Potatoes Primavera; to Asparagus with Lemon Caper Vinaigrette; Triple Corn Pudding; Mexican Layered Dip; and Banana Pie with Chocolate Glaze, Meals On The Move is an ideal cookbook choice for nutrition conscious kitchen cooks with time constraints.
Just What the Doctor Ordered.......2001-05-10
Our 39 year old daughter was ordered to stick to a high-fiber, low cholesterol diet, because of colon polyps. This book was mentioned in a newsletter put out by the American Institute of Cancer Research. Our daughter-in-law purchased the book for our daughter for Christmas. When visiting my daughter, I prepared a number of the recipes from this book. I never believed that anything so good for you could taste so fantastic. I purchased the book for myself, and our daughter-in-law said she would like to have it, too. My husband just had colon cancer surgery, so we will be enjoying even more of these wonderful recipes; and we love the fact that the dietary fiber & cholesterol amounts are given for each recipe.

Matthews Review.......2006-03-27
This is an excellent cook book. I have tried some of the receipes and found them easy to read and prepare. I like the nitrition information at the end of each receipe. Since I have to watch my sodium, I can see right away which receipe to use. I have recommend this book to my friends and family. I will continue to use this book in my every day cooking.
Recipes that even the Kids will Love.......2006-02-10
I have just about every healthy cookbook on the market. My family always tells me which recipes are "keepers" and which ones are not. The "keepers" I write down in a seperate book of favorite recipes. Our favorite recipe book is now mostly filled with Holly Clegg's recipes. They are delicious and even your kids won't miss the fat, I promise! This is a definite must have for anyone wanting to make a lifestyle change for the entire family. No More FAD diets for us!! I only wish that I would have found this book years ago!
Most practical (and delicious) cookbook out there........2005-12-14
I use this cookbook more than any other I have ever owned. The recipes really are easy, healthy and most importantly, delicious. A big plus is that many of the recipes can be made and then frozen until ready to use. Many times I double the recipe and cook the 2nd in the Gladware Heat N Serve containers for later use. There is also a section for kids. I love it so much I give it as a gift.
Yummy, Healthy & Easy.......2005-08-18
This cookbook is great. I've used at least 10 of the recipes so far and have only had the book for a few weeks. My husband and I were very impressed with all of them and have made a couple recipes a few times already.
This is one of the better cookbook out there if you're looking to eat healthier without having to purchase hard to find ingredients.
Though I don't have any children, the 'Cooking with Kids' section looks like it might be a lot of fun (can you tell I'm NOT a mom yet?...)
Terrific Lowfat Cooking.......2004-08-16
I highly recommend this cookbook to everyone. The recipes are easy, tasty, and good for you. My favorite recipe is the greek lemon pasta!
