Where are the missing chapters?.......2007-09-25
I now realize that I am not the only one who enjoyed the three books but I too felt that several chapters had been omitted.
I was left with the distinct impression that the author decided he was tired of writing this last book and just quit. I would have had second and third thoughts about investing my time if I knew in advance that David was just going to up and quit on the series.
Empire from the Ashes.......2007-09-09
Excellent newer release (2003) from Baen, but don't be fooled - this is the three book Dahak series released under a new title. It includes: Mutineer's Moon, The Armageddon Inheritance, and Heirs of Empire. This is not a fourth book in this entertaining series.
This is a great Sci-Fi book/series!.......2007-04-02
The title of this review says it all. This book is a combined reprint of his 3 earlier books: Mutineer's Moon, The Armaggedon Inheritance, and Heirs of Empire. David Weber always seems to do a great job, and this is no exception. Book 1 is incredible in that it supposes that Earth's moon is really a spaceship, and the humans living on Earth are descendants of its crew! Book 2 has an alien race out to destroy all life in the galaxy, and is very well written. Book 3 is less sweeping in its impact, in that, most of it takes place on one planet's surface, but it is still a great read. My personal favorite of the series is book 1 with book 2 right behind. I hope that Mr. Weber decides to continue the series with a final battle between the aliens from book 2.
Excelent Series.......2007-03-02
I found the entire story line from book one to book three full of intense action. Such as Collins discoverary that humans are not from earth but decended from the crew of Dalik. IN two i found the battles between the Humans of earth and the evil aliens to pretty well detailed and to find out that this whole genecide campaign is the result of warped and twisted computer makes it more exciting. IN three i thought the action that took place on the world where the royal heirs and their friends end up and trying to advacen their own cause plus that of the locals very informative. In my opinion David Weber wrote a good series but needs to add on to such as if Collins daughter and priest get wed, his son stays acting governer on the tempary home, if the big bad computer sends out masses of ships for pay back and so on.
Omnibus of the Dahak series.......2007-02-01
Mutineer's Moon: David Weber is a shining star in the sci-fi heavens these days. I was never much a fan of the "military" sci fi before I started reading Weber and he turned me on to it.
Colin was an astronaut on 21st Century Earth. He was on a flight to the dark side of the moon - and out of contact with his superiors - when he was approached by a strange ship, which was unaffected by his weapons and which thereupon kidnapped him and drug him into the moon itself. To his surprise, he learns that the moon is actually a vast spaceship called Dahak, run by a central computer (Comp Cent) also calling itself Dahak and build by the Fourth Imperium, an ancient civilization and the basis for the human race. The Imperium came to Terra over 50,000 years ago on Dahak and were marooned there by a mutiny. Dahak has been waiting all this time for the right human to come along and become his new captain, for the ancient race of the Achuultani - which has almost completely destroyed the ancient Imperium, with its vastly higher technological base, at least 3 times - is approaching earth and will arrive in the next 2 - 3 years. To make matters worse, the few remaining mutineers are divided into two factions: one which is still holding to its mutinous ways under the guidance of the unstable Anu, and another which regrets its involvement in the mutiny, led by Horus. Colin must first defeat the mutineers, who have hoarded all the weaponry and technology, as well as outnumbering the reformed members of the crew by a large amount. Once that impossible task is done, then comes preparation to stop the Achuulanti . . .but that is the next book. . .
The Armageddon Inheritance: Colin, now self-declared Governor of Earth, has defeated Anu's mutineers. However, now the true count-down begins, as the Achuultani are just over 2 years away and somehow he has to unite the entire world and prepare them to use the Imperial technology that will, hopefully, save Earth. He also decides to go and search for Imperial help - unfortunately he doesn't find any, but in an amusing twist he ends up the new Emperor.
This novel doesn't give much time to breath and the Achuultani keep coming; in total somewhere around 3 million ships are sent to break on the shoals of the Sol system. We also discover at least a tiny bit of their reasoning for their rampage through the galaxy and that they are technically called Aku'Ultan. This is a most entertaining series and indeed I am well to half-way through the final book already and am quite enjoying it at well. Give these most excellent books by Weber a try!
Heirs of Empire: In the finale to the "Dahak" series by David Weber, Colin's first children grow up and enter the Fleet themselves. When their ship is sabotaged on their middy flight, they must make their way to an unknown planet, find a way home and - while they are at it - settle a religious conflict that they accidentally started. Meanwhile back home, Colin and Jiltanith - devastated by what they believe is the loss of their children - discover a plot to destroy their new home planet and overthrow them. Can they stop the destruction of their planet and discover who is plotting against them? Can their children let them know they are alive and find a way home?
This book definitely left me wanting more in this series. Weber is a master, there is no doubt.

Book Description
`The material contained in this volume was originally presented in the form of talks to students, teachers and parents in India, but its keen penetration and lucid simplicity will be deeply meaningful to thoughtful people everywhere, of all ages, and in every walk of life. Krishnamurti examines with characteristic objectivity and insight the expressions of what we are pleased to call our culture, our education, religion, politics and tradition; and he throws much light on such basic emotions as ambition, greed and envy, the desire for security and the lust for power - all of which he shows to be deteriorating factors in human society.'From the Editor's Note`Krishnamurti's observations and explorations of modern man's estate are penetrating and profound, yet given with a disarming simplicity and directness. To listen to him or to read his thoughts is to face oneself and the world with an astonishing morning freshness.'Anne Marrow Lindbergh

simple and understandable.......2007-08-26
Although, as he often noted, some of the questions the students presented were not well put or relevant, in my opinion, I enjoyed this read because it was very simplified and covered important subjects in a brief and friendly manner. It's a good way to start if you wish to know more about Krishnamurti's teachings.
If you only think on one thing at a time.........2007-07-18
.. you could probably think on the ideas in the book by this wonderful educator and philosopher for years -- and feel good about yourself and the world.
wisdom.......2007-07-16
In a nutshell, Krishnamurti brings us back to spaces where we always were, always are, always will be but ... this is the funny part ... constantly forget about. I love how his energy bounces off the pages and dances on the walls around you, telling you: see! see! see!!!
Give this book to your young children. .......2007-06-03
I got this book from a second-hand store when I was a child. I read it over and over again as a young person, living in the heart of the bible belt. The ideas in this book are as simple or complex as your heart and mind are prepared to accept. Krishnamurti has a message of self appraisal and personal responsibility that has served me well throughout my life. Even through years when I had forgotten his name, had forgotten this book, was surrounded by people pushing me to other value systems, I have always carried the influence of the thoughtful mind and purposeful action. Now, rediscovering this book and others by Krishnamurti, I can look back and appreciate the great benefit that I had from exposure to this perspective of life, which is so different from and superior to the culture and environment of the deep south.
Very accesible for those who are new to Krishnamurti.......2006-12-23
This is one of Krishnamurti's most accessible books. It is a good introduction to his thought and approach to life. Basically, he favors dropping all conditioning and being in constant inquiry. This involves moving in and out of observation without identification. He descibes truth as a pathless land and his words land deeply. If you have any interest in Krishnamurti at all, this is a great book to wade in slowly with. Some of his other books are a much more difficult read.

This is a handy, pocketsize companion of Cayce affirmations. Chances are you'll find yourself sharing these hopeful words with others.

"Much more action than celestine "..... L. Ron Hubbard.......1998-04-05
This is the first thing I read of Cayce. It is all excerpts straight from the readings. There are no interpretations, conjecture or filtering through this relative or that author. This is straight from the mouth of one of the most documented psychics of the 20th century. I believe that what is in this book was transcribed from edgar cayce while he was in a trance. I may be gullible, but I would just rather believe in everything than pick one thing for life. The book is separated into several sections. For instance, "On Self and Others" and "On Choice and the Will." The excerpts are usually a short to medium paragraph. This is a pocket sized book, perfect for quick reads and bursts of insight.
Here's one of my favorites:
"For this entity should comprehend and know, and never forget, that life and its experiences are only what one puts into same! And unless the activities, the thoughts are continuously constructive, and the experience well-balanced, the entity cannot, will not fulfill the purpose for which it came into the present experience."
- 1537-1
For those who havent read about Cayce its a great introduction to the man in his own words. For people who have already become intrigued with Cayce, this is a useful compendium of some of trance boy's most scintillating insights from beyond. % % % % 1/2

Book Description
“The heavens declare the glory of God . . .”
Psalm 19:1a
Towering mountains, crashing waves, and delicate flowers—all shout the glory of the living God. Yet this not-so-subtle declaration of his glory often falls on deaf ears. We enjoy the gift of life and the magnificent world in which we live, but do we celebrate our Maker?
Ric Ergenbright has spent his career capturing photographic images of God’s self-disclosure in creation. These images bear witness to the beauty and power of God, inviting us to reflect on the One who spoke our world into existence. This book weds these images with Scripture to help us think about what we see and to honor the heavenly Artist. In doing so we put feet to the apostle Paul’s admonition: “. . . if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things” (Philippians 4:8b).
These fifty full color photographs capture the radiant light, vibrant color, and rich texture of God’s handiwork. When we consider the beauty of that handiwork, we cannot help but echo that heavenly song, “Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created” (Rev. 4:11).

Godly Bliss.......2007-05-15
Ergenbright strikes again in this slender volume of gorgeous photography. He and Pastor John Piper both write wonderful introductions about their purpose in creating the book and their hope that it will draw the reader closer to God.
The theme, as the title suggests, is to focus on the Scripture that tells us to think of all praiseworthy things in the world that are God-inspired. Fulfilling this Scripture, the book offers not only striking pictures of landscapes and oceans, but also pictures of magnificent man-made structures, reminding us of our God-given desire to create great things, and wonderful pictures of people, namely children whose sweet smiles and shining innocence remind us of the nature that God wishes us to have when we approach Him. Accompanied with all this is more wonderful Scripture.
From fairytale castles to a gorgeous storm cloud roiling over a lonely road, this book offers a variety of beauty. Several of the nature photographs will either have you in awe or set your heart at rest, and the priceless children will make you smile until your face hurts. I highly recommend this gem for any soul to remind us of all the beauty in God's world!
Ecstatic.......2007-01-12
I have been very pleased with my purchase. The book was in great condition. Our family has enjoyed reflecting on God's greatness as He has revealed Himself in His marvolous creation.
I'd like to add one more thing to my above review:.......2004-07-16
At the recent Christian Booksellers Convention in Atlanta, 'THINK ABOUT THESE THINGS' was awarded the Gold Medallion as the Best Christian Gift Book of 2004.
You should "THINK ABOUT THESE THINGS".......2004-07-13
Once again, after 'THE ART OF GOD' and 'THE IMAGE OF GOD,' Ric Ergenbright shows his mastery of the art of photography and his dedication to the word of the Bible. You may open any page, from those depicting the rocky coasts of New England and Italy to the far reaches of India and South America, and find inspiration. THINK ABOUT THESE THINGS can be read over and over and never will you arrive at the same thought. Things that are going to last take a long time to build, and Ric Ergenbright has reminded us, with an enchanted eloquence, from whence came the cornerstones.
BEAUTIFULLY CONCEIVED AND THOUGHT OUT.......2004-02-15
A beautiful combination of art and biblical thought. To be read and re-read many times.

Message Lasts ... Forever.......2004-12-11
What a pleasure to write a review of Joyce Hifler's ... Think On These Things. I first read the first edition book in the 1960's.
I found the book on a book shelf. It has been left there by my step brother ... a most beautiful young man .. who died at the age of 17 in a car accident in the 1960's.
I don't know why the book was there. I don't know what he had seen in it or why he had it ... I just know that several years after he died I had suffered a most discouraging divorce, had discovered "positive thinking" and it's impact on my own life .. had "back slip" into a most severed "depression" .. and in recovering found that reading this book over and over and over again automatically helped me get into a positive space from which to act.
Whenever I got negative or had something I needed to do positively .. I would read this book until my positive attitude returned ... then act.
I have remembered all these years this little books description of the difference between our "positive self" and our "negative self" and which one is "really us." Picture yourself with a cloud passing overhead and blocking the light ... and then in the bright sunlight. The real you is the one without the cloud.
I have remembered this description, used it many times, have shared it with many, many others .. and now I happily recommend this fantastic little book to EVERYONE !!!

Don't visit a shrink--read this book!!.......1999-09-27
I have read this book numerous times. If I were given only one choice of a book to read (outside of the Bible) this book would be it. If more people would read and absorb the lessons in this book, we would have a wonderful world to live in.
I would like to meet Joyce Sequichie Hefler (the author), if she is still alive. She must be a remarkable human being.
A friend gave me her first hard back edition, with her signiture written on it, many years ago. I take this book to bed with me every night and always feel so relaxed with any page I open the book to. This is the best gift you can give to yourself or anyone else, man or women, boy or girl. Order this book and take time to read and absorb the remarkable lessons. You would be glad you did, I am.
