After reading one paragraph of this book, I knew it wouldn't serve its purpose. The grammar and spelling were so distracting. I couldn't focus on the meaning of the words I was reading, because the only thing I could think of doing was grabbing a red pen to edit. Try the Best Women's Erotica compilations edited by Violet Blue instead.
Could Become an Erotic Classic.......2007-03-17
An incredible book and very aptly titled, in my opinion, the way the love making is described in such intimate and erotic detail is truly amazing, its almost as if you are watching from two feet away. I can honestly say that I've read nothing quite like this before. It's so natural and believable and the characters are ordinary people of different ages, shapes and personalities, people you meet at work or in the street and I think that is what makes it so erotic. The stories themselves as well as being extremely erotic are very believable. There is just enough storyline that builds up to the climax (pardon the pun) to make you feel part of the story. All the characters are sexual artists and a lot of them are incredibly well endowed, they really take you through a masterpiece of erotic pleasure. The writing style is so fresh and varied, almost as if it is written by different authors and the way Suzie describes the action, well it is almost as if you are actually taking part. I look forward to reading more by this lady in the future.

He shows how exchange rates and interest rates would work in a true free market. When it comes to describing the end of the gold standard, he is not content to describe the big trends. He names names and ferrets out all the interest groups involved. Since Rothbard's death, scholars have worked to assess his legacy, and many of them agree that this little book is one of his most important. Though it has sometimes been inauspiciously packaged and is surprisingly short, its argument took huge strides toward explaining that it is impossible to understand public affairs in our time without understanding money and its destruction.

If more poeple knew of, and understood what this book is about; there would be no need for it to exist. This book should be a text book in every High School. This is the best explanation of what money is that I have ever read.

I recommend this book to everyone I know. Rothbard has a way of making the whole concept of money so simple, from how money comes about, to the creation of banks, to the Federal Reserve. I read this book online a few years ago and have just ordered my own copy, because this is one of those books that you have to share with friends and family.

Other reviewers have already said all that needs to be said, so it is hard to add to the observations that the man had insight into what works in economics - not just theory but fact - and writes in a style that does not intimidate or overwhelm those who are novices.
There is probably nothing in this book that will be new to those who are already familiar with the issues of paper currency versus hard currency, but even those persons will be rewarded with an easy to read overview of the subject and will be have an excellent tool for introducing the subject to friends and relatives.

Rothbard makes a compelling case for the gold standard by presenting the economic issues in terms that we can all understand.
Top of the Line Analysis and Conclusions!!!.......2006-07-07
Murray N. Rothbard is now recognised as one of the foremost economists of the last century, and rightly so. Not only does he write in a clear concise manner, but he takes what could be an unintelligible subject and explains it in terms everyone can grasp.
In this beautiful hardbound book Rothbard gives us an exceptionally clear, detailed description of what money is and how it has come to be manipulated by governments and central bankers into almost worthless inflationary fiat paper currency.
He explains how gold became the most respected and trustworthy currency of choice, how this developed into the gold standard when our paper money was actually backed by a real asset; gold, and then how our governments and particularly their central bankers then manipulated the situation until all we were left with was no gold standard and only fiat paper currency of no "real" value because it no longer had the backing of gold. He then explains very clearly how this situation has led us to where we are now; inflation and the rapidly diminishing purchasing power of the paper money we hold (over the last 30 years the real value of $1 has dropped to around 4 cents!!!!!), unnecessary asset bubbles and the prospect of either hyperinflation or the greatest depression the world has ever seen arriving in the very near future!
Mr. Rothbard then rightly argues for a return to the gold standard because of it's inherent automatic adjustment mechanisms due to the scarcity of gold in the ground and the finite quantity already above ground. More importantly he advocates a 100% reserves gold standard which would put an end to fractional reserve banking and thus the ruinous credit creation/oversupply of money by our central bankers and thus an end to rampant inflation as we know it! This would also force our governments to be more accountable to their electorate in that any government allowing an unbalanced economy would face long recessions as the gold standard auto adjustment mechanisms brought it back into equilibrium; henceforth governments would be wise to provide an environment that favoured slow steady growth for their country with minimal boom bust cycles.
Furthermore Mr. Rothbard adequately counters the criticisms of his conclusions & recommendations in detail.
I think most of us that bother to look further than our noses and not live with our head in the sand now realise the United States financial position(in particular) is untenable in the long term and there is going to be a very painful outcome either slowly creeping through the financial world in a dollar crisis OR precipitated by a large financial event, like the probable implosion of huge OTC derivatives positions. Either way this will herald the end of the world's latest foray into fiat paper currency; it will fail as it must and as fiat currencies always have in the past.
When that happens, HOPEFULLY we will return to a 100% gold standard where our paper money, gold grams or whatever are 100% backed by gold; the only true currency, and sanity can once again return to the finances of our world!
I wholeheartedly recommend this book to EVERYONE in the hope that more of the populations of the world can become educated to what we have been "sold" by our governments with these worthless paper currencies we now all hold in the hope that there can be a groundswell of opinion and an overwhelming chorus to return to sanity and a 100% gold standard! We deserve it!!!

Genuine and insightful.......2006-10-04
The author hits the mark with her genuine approach to living at your full capacity. Jodee is able to relate her own experiences and the writing is like you are talking to a friend. She uses analogies and her personal experiences to explain some concepts that have been around for a long time but that we have somehow forgotten how to apply.
Jodee gathers insightful commentary from a wide variety of sources and weaves them into her themes. I especially liked the story about the "questioning machine." This really made me stop and ask "What do I want?" and "Who am I." Two questions I have asked myself many times but until now never really allowed myself to fully explore and answer.
I read this book twice and the first time it did not hit me the same way, but I wanted to look again and when I did I really saw it in a different way- and good thing I did! They say that when the student is ready the teacher will appear and I think I was ready for this the second time around!

I'd love to sit around a campfire one autumn night listening to Garrison Keillor and Gerald Daniele swap stories. Mr. Daniele is now doing for New Jersey what Mr. Keillor does so quintessentially for Minnesota.

This report was created for global strategic planners who cannot be content with traditional methods of segmenting world markets. With the advent of a “borderless world”, cities become a more important criteria in prioritizing markets, as opposed to regions, continents, or countries. This report covers the top 2000 cities in over 200 countries. It does so by reporting the estimated market size (in terms of latent demand) for each major city of the world. It then ranks these cities and reports them in terms of their size as a percent of the country where they are located, their geographic region (e.g. Africa, Asia, Europe, Middle East, North America, Latin America), and the total world market. In performing various economic analyses for its clients, I have been occasionally asked to investigate the market potential for various products and services across cities. The purpose of the studies is to understand the density of demand within a country and the extent to which a city might be used as a point of distribution within its region. From an economic perspective, however, a city does not represent a population within rigid geographical boundaries. To an economist or strategic planner, a city represents an area of dominant influence over markets in adjacent areas. This influence varies from one industry to another, but also from one period of time to another. In what follows, I summarize the economic potential for the world\'s major cities for "edible baking and frying fats and shortening made from 100-percent animal fat or blends of vegetable oil and animal fat" for the year 2007. The goal of this report is to report my findings on the real economic potential, or what an economist calls the latent demand, represented by a city when defined as an area of dominant influence. The reader needs to realize that latent demand may or may not represent real sales. For many items, latent demand is clearly observable in sales, as in the case for food or housing items. Consider, however, the category "satellite launch vehicles". Clearly, there are no launch pads in most cities of the world. However, the core benefit of the vehicles (e.g. telecommunications, etc.) is "consumed" by residents or industries within the world\'s cities. Without certain cities, in other words, the market for satellite launch vehicles would be lower for the world in general. One needs to allocate, therefore, a portion of the worldwide economic demand for launch vehicles to both regions and cities. This report takes the broader definition and considers, therefore, a city as a part of the global market.

This book offers a wonderful view into the world of using sound to heal the body, mind, and soul. It provides an excellent foundation for understanding the power of mantras.
When I purchased this book (about four years ago), I had a lot of problems with my eyes. I used to get ulcers on my cornea, and no doctors were able to explain why this happened. I discovered a mantra in this book, dedicated to healing the eyes. After practicing this mantra for a few weeks, my eyes began to feel better. After a few months, my eye doctor was suprised to find a noticeable improvement in my eyesight. Since practicing this mantra, I've only experienced one more corneal ulcer (about two years ago).
Since then, I've incorporated many of the mantras found in this book into my daily life.

A Phenomonal Book.......2006-10-20
This book is a vault of wisdom. The author has made the intricate mantra work, easily understood in a profound way. I have searched long and hard to understand the use of mantras, encountering little more than a brick wall time and time again, in my search. This author has taught me not only how to climb the wall, but to walk through it. A commendable book, that I recommend to all, with great excitement.
TWO WORDS: THIS WORKS!!!.......2006-09-24
I used the Lakshmi (for prosperity) and Ganesha (for removal of obstacles) mantras from this book to help me find a job. My unemployment benefits were about to run out and I wasn't finding anything. Despite no background in the industry I am now in, on the 40th (the last) day of my practice, I was hired in an entry level position that will soon lead to more money. Previously, I was getting second interviews, but losing out to other people with more experience.
There is nothing in my resume to suggest that I had an office background or barely even computer skills. I am looking to take a class and explained that in the cover letter and interview. Yet the woman who interviewed and hired me, for some reason, thought I had an extensive background in both! I can't help but feel that the mantras helped me overcome this significant barrier hiring-wise. Now I am using a Saraswati mantra from the book to help me with the learning curve of my new job and another mantra from the book for self confidence and strength which feels VERY powerful and I only just today starting using it. [I also improved my chances of getting hired by scheduling my interviews when the moon was NOT "void of course." See Jim Maynard's Celestial Guides or other resources to know when this is.]
I feel I am only just scratching the surface of what this book can help me do in a variety of areas of my life. I read all kinds of metaphysical books and try to adjust my thinking, but find it hard to break old habits of being fearful or limited in my thinking. What I love about this book is this: it gives you something concrete to DO everyday, twice a day that seems to work, regardless. I spent $13 on a mala to help me count my mantra repetitions and probably did only about 20 minutes of work twice a day. If I had done even more, I think my outcome would have been even better. Yet, from where I started, this is a huge victory for me.
As the author of the book states, mantras don't take the place of, in my case, doing the usual job search actions. However, there is no doubt in my mind that using mantras made all the difference in the outcome. It even, I think, steered me around a deceptive, (what I thought was a) sure-thing job with another company. It turned out that they had gone through five people in a very short time in the position. Not a good sign. I'll leave the descriptions of this book to other reviewers. What I wanted to know when I was deciding to get this book and looking at people's reviews of it was what their outcomes of doing the mantras were. I hope mine will help others to get this book and take this fantastic journey!
The power of the Word........2006-08-16
I attended one of Mr. Thomas Ashley-Farrand meetings in Los Angeles and was impressed by his humble (esoterically speaking) way to communicate his truth. I read the book, Healing Mantras: Using Sound Affirmations for Personal Power, Creativity, and Healing, and started using the mantras immediately in my service to humanity, the result is amazing. I have all the books, I practice chanting mantras regularly, and I can see the miracles with my own eyes.
