Book Description
Slowly yet surely, it's becoming evident that each of the three princes has feelings for Sei-Ann. The only question now is which of the princes does Sei-Ann truly like. The decision becomes harder when each of them won't admit to themselves how they truly feel, and each of them having secrets and hidden agendas doesn't help either. To make things worse for Sei-Ann, she now has a rival: a childhood lady friend of the princes. As the daughter of the most powerful retainer to the royal family, she most certainly going to get first choice out of the Princes. What's Sei-Ann to do?!

More inspired art from Hee-Eun Kim.......2007-09-04
With Volume 3 due out in October of 2007 for us Americans, I simply cannot wait to read on! Hee-Eun Kim has become my favorite manga-ka. From the most minor detail of lace on a maid's dress to her sweeping two-page portraits of the three princes, the whole tale is just exquisite.
Sei-Ann is living at the palace with the three princes, all of whom I adore as each prince has his own issues. There is a mystery story told in this second volume, about Sei-Ann's past, but that sort of takes a back seat in my mind to the antics of the palace, waiting on princes, and even cross-dressing lovers.
Again, I cannot wait for the 3rd installment. This is WELL worth your time.
Very funny to read.......2007-04-12
This has a good story line so far. I am looking foward to volume 2. The girl cracks me up with her antics in trying to get a prince so she doesn't have to do anymore house work for this rich lady. So I would recommend reading it. So please help support the book so more volumes will be published. I very curious to know what happened to the girls family.

This disarmingly cute bedtime story from writer-illustrator-dad David Melling (Where Are You?) follows a busy king whose misfired good-night kiss flies right past his son and out the window.
"Once upon a Tuesday the king was in a hurry as usual. 'Goodnight,' he said and blew his son a Royal Kiss." But after rattling around the young prince's room and finding its way out the window, the Royal Kiss hurtles off into a dark and snowy forest. "Follow that Kiss!" commands the king to his loyal knight, and so begins a lengthy, silly chase scene. Even the putative bad guys in this story-- "growly" bears, "swoopy" owls, "dribbly" wolves, and a gigantic dragon--get a shot at providing comic relief, as the kiss streaks and swoops its way through the woods with the not-too-brave knight in hot pursuit.
The inspired illustrations and excellent design alone make this book a fun one, but it's Melling's restrained but infectious sense of fun that will ensure many repeat reads. From the comically animated lion emblazoned on the knight's shield to the forest creatures who seem to dance as they flee the dragon, Melling is clearly having a good time as he tucks us in--and when it comes to ensuring sweet dreams, that almost beats an accurately delivered good-night kiss. (Ages 4 to 8) --Paul Hughes
Book Description
One evening, when the King is in a hurry, his goodnight kiss to the Little Prince goes astray. After rattling around the Prince's bedroom, it flies out the window and floats into the dark forest, where it has no business to be. The King decides to do something about it. He orders the Knight to climb on his horse, ride into the forest, and bring back the kiss. But the forest is filled with spooky things that frighten both the Knight and his horse. How will they ever succeed in bringing the kiss back to the castle? This funny story features Daivd Melling's atmospheric and richly colored illustrations on every page. It makes a great bedtime story for kids who are about the same age as the Little Prince. (Ages 4-7)

Wonderful find.......2003-08-14
I took this out from the library and boy did we enjoy this book. The illustrations remind me of Disney cartoons. The plot is so fun and everything ends up happily ever after. Whats wrong with that? Shouldn't bed time be peaceful and funny? Even this parent enjoyed it. A great good night read. I'm going to purchase one for me and my 5 year old.
An instant favorite!.......2003-07-17
I bought this book as a birthday present for my two year old daughter. She and her three year old sister have decided it is their new favorite bedtime book! The writing makes it easy for grown-ups to add a little pizazz with voices and excitement, and there are not too many words on each page which lends itself well to younger children's attention spans. The artistry is excellent and serves as a perfect backdrop to the comedy of the tale. A perfect bedtime story!
This "Kiss" doesn't miss a thing.......2003-04-07
What might happen if a king's goodnight kiss is blown to his son, but accidentally misses...and lands on a dragon instead? In this funny picture book for little princes everywhere, that's exactly the dilemma at hand. The king is in too big of a hurry to give his son a proper tucking in bed, so the kiss goes astray, floating out the Prince's bedroom window. The king orders his knight to mount his horse and give chase, but the forest is filled with spooky things. Faced with bears and wolves, they loose sight of the kiss, which flies right up the nose of a giant green dragon. As the knight ponders the problem, a bigger problem finds him when the dragon takes chase. Will this the tragic end of the knight and his horse? The big kiss off? Author/illustrator David Melling ("Gerda The Goose") builds the climax into a grin-worthy story twist, and the moral of the story is one that will not be taken lightly by all those too-busy dads out there. This "Kiss" doesn't miss a thing.
A great find.......2003-02-03
I picked this book up by chance, and my son will not let me put in down! It is great. The illustrations are very detailed and lead to great conversations. It is almost a shame it is a "bedtime book" because we get so involved in talking about the story and the pictures that he doesn't really get sleepy. It is a favorite of us both. I am sure that this will be the gift we bring to every birthday party we are invited to in the future.
Cute bedtime book.......2002-10-15
I read this to my 4 year old before she goes to sleep each night. It's become one of her favorites. It's the story of a hurried goodnight kiss that a king blows to his young son. Of course the kiss misses and the king sends his loyal knight to retrieve it. The knight and his horse have a little adventure ending with the kiss being returned to it's intended recipient. The book has cute, well executed illustrations, but the ending just doesn't seem like an end. Otherwise I would have given a full 5 stars. Still, I'd recommend it.

BACK COVER REVIEW.......2007-02-04
Daughter of wealth and privilege, lovely Charlaine Kimball was known to Victorian society as the Ice Princess. But when a brash intruder dared take a king's ransom in jewels from her private safe, indignation burned away her usual cool reserve. And when the handsome rogue presumed to steal a kiss from her untouched lips, forbidden longing set her soul ablaze.
Illegitimate son of a penniless Frenchwoman, Devlin Rhodes was nothing but a lowly bounder to the British aristocrats who snubbed him. But his leapfrogging ambition engaged him in a dangerous game. Now he would have to win Charlaine's hand in marriage- and have her begging for the kiss that would awaken his heart and transform him into the man he was always meant to.
Book Description
Everyone always says to set high goals for oneself. Sei-Ann, an orphaned young lady who was raised in the care of a noblewoman, does just that when she decides she'll become the prince's bride. With above average looks and ambitions that would rival that of a king, Sei-Ann is determined to leave her social status behind and become the wife of the next Crown Prince. One day, she gets her chance when the prince visits her guardian's residence, and before she knows it, she's invited to work at the Royal Palace as a maid. What's more, one of the Crown Prince's brothers falls in love with her. But suddenly, just as everything seemed like it was going so perfectly, Sei-Ann learns that she may be the last surviving heir to a family which was closely tied to the Royal family but later branded as traitors!

Fantastic art, no detail spared.......2007-09-04
Let me just start by saying I'm normally more interested in Yaoi (boy's love) manga and it's been a long time since anything of this nature has hooked me. I picked up the title randomly during my search for new manga, and I was just immediately overwhelmed with the beauty of Hee-Eun Kim's art. The cover alone is worth a study, as is the pinup on the inside flap.
As with any new series that I know nothing about, I flipped through the first couple pages at Borders to see how the translation is. Especially since this was originally Korean, it's hard to know if the English is going to be broken or just downright awful. I was pleasantly surprised; the translation is top notch.
I took it home to poke through some more...and instantly fell in love. The characters are very 3D (don't let the rags-to-riches element fool you; it's a simple tale with a romantic twist), interesting, and every page is filled with detailed art. I've never actually seen a manga this well-developed, and it's supposedly Hee-Eun Kim's first! Also, don't be fooled by the slow beginning -- as another reviewer has said, once Sei-Ann gets to the palace, the story really picks up and draws you in.
The detail in the story, characters, and art are the reasons I give this the highest rating possible. My compliments are to the manga-ka first and foremost and second to the translator, whose outdone him/herself.
Pick this one up and give it a read. You won't regret it.
Another charming Cinderella story..........2007-08-08
I bought this at Borders yesterday (for the full price, I might add...I could've saved a dollar if I bought it here), and I read it as soon as I got home. It starts off a bit slow, but once Sei-Ann gets to the palace, it gets much better.
This is my first experience with a Korean manga, and it took me a while to get used to because it reads normally, left to right, unlike Japanese manga (which I've grown accustomed to).
The art is very beautiful, and the story is very sweet. I wasn't expecting one of the princes to be a pedophile, though...that took me by surprise. It's kinda weird...
But other than that, it's a good read and worth the price. I totall recommend it.
A charming story.......2007-01-06
This is a charming story with a smart and capable heroine, some good plot twists, and lots of potential.
I look forward to the second volume.

Interesting info. about Sophie.......2002-10-12
This book was very hastily and poorly written, but it certainly has interesting information about Sophie. I specifically did not enjoy how the authors compared Sophie to Diana, implying that Diana was inferior to Sophie. Shame on them.
Fascinating read.......2001-02-14
I've always followed the doings of the Royal family with great interest, so I grabbed up this book as soon as it was published. I wasn't disappointed! It gives a really interesting account of the life of the latest Royal bride. It has pride of place on my bookshelf.
A well-written, entertaining account of this royal romance.......1999-01-07
This excellent book--a must for all royal enthusiasts--looks at the life of the next royal bride, from her childhood in the sleepy Kent village of Brenchley, through her experiences as a chalet girl in Switzerland and PR executive in London to her fairytale romance with the Queen's youngest son.
Excellent, informative work.......1998-04-21
A thoroughly researched and entertaining look at this modern royal love affair. A must for royal enthusiasts!
Book Description
As a child, Solomon loved the forest and visited it often. But all too soon Solomon grows up and becomes a king. He becomes very busy and forgets about the forest and his friends, the animals. In this lushly illustrated environmental midrash, Solomon comes to understand the price that must be paid when we don't take care of the earth and its blessings.

Based on a Midrash folktale and Judaic teachings.......2001-07-06
Solomon was a young prince who lived next to a large forest where he spent every spare moment because he preferred peaceful trees to rancorous humans, and was taught to speak their language by the animals who lived there. When Solomon grew up and became the king, he found himself so busy that he forgot about the forests and his animal friends. Eventually Solomon came to understand the price that must be paid when people don't take proper care of the earth and its blessings. Highly recommended for young readers grades 1-3, and based on a Midrash folktale and Judaic teachings about the earth and the festival cycle, Solomon And The Trees is an outstanding and superbly presented collaboration between author Matt Biers-Airel and illustrator Esti Silverberg-Kiss.

Customer Reviews:
very useful.......2006-11-06
I knew nothing about diabetes until I read this wonderful book. Now I know how to research diabetes and choose useful medical products.
A useful guide with some good insights.......2006-03-18
This book has a wealth of useful information and would be equally useful for people that have had the condition for a period of years or have only just been diagnosed.
The book manages to combine a useful introduction to diabetes (including a lot of information that I personally only discovered the hard way) with more advanced material that would appeal to an individual that wanted to improve their overall diabetic control.
There are some drawbacks: the breadth of the audience addressed by the authors means that some of the early chapters seem overly simplistic; and the book is very much geared to the US ("cups" for dry measure and ounces for wet measure, what are you people thinking?). However the comparative dearth of diabetes literature aimed at the patient and the overall quality of the work means that this is one of the best buys on the market.
One of the best.......2003-08-14
I bought this book because I liked the information from Joslin online. I'm a Registered Nurse and have read lots of things on diabetes. This is one of the best books on self care that I've read. It has a wealth of information presented in a readable style
overview.......2000-02-22
The Joslin Guide to Diabetes: A program for Managing Your Diabetes copyright 1995 (may be updated soon?) is a comprehensive easy to use text designed for the person who has become a patient with diabetes. If you become familiar with the information in this book you can not only manage your diabetes better but you can make meetings with your physican more rewarding for yourself and your physician. This book contains less technical information on pathogenesis etc than the outdated (1989) Joslin Diabetes Manual which may still prove valuable to those so inclined. I highly recommend this book for diabetics and their families.
