Helps with the RICA Case Study..........2007-01-10
This book is pretty good with becoming an effective literacy teacher. Many of the different strategies given are good to know for your own classroom. This book was helpful because I used it in conjunction with other materials to study for the RICA and I passed. This version is just as good with the newest edition. I didn't miss out not having the newest edition...

I like this book because it steers teachers toward teaching creativity instead of making their students create multiples of the same painting or form. It teaches different components of teaching art as well; such as art history, aesthetics, etc. I would recommend this book to any art teacher.

I bought this book for my daughter, who is studying to be an Art teacher, and she really likes it.
It was mandatory for school, but the professor recommended it highly, and so I can see it becoming a permanent part of her library.

Easy to read. Might be helpful for someone who has never taught before. I found nothing new. As in the case of most education books, she takes 50 pages to say what could be communicated in 5.

I should have paid more attention to the description - Dimensions of 3.4 x 2.9 x .06 Inches - is not worth the price that was paid. The contents are great and the pictures wonderful -- but hard to read and see because the book is so small. I would have loved to have bigger pictures so the detail of the aprons could be enjoyed more.
