IMPRESSIVE!.......2007-08-17
I also highly recommend - How to be a Super Hot Woman: 339 Tips to Make Every Man Fall in Love with You and Every Woman Envy You by Mandy Simons
It's the truth!.......2007-03-15
The good part about this book is that the author really encourages woman to treat themselves better. It is true that once you are comfortable and happy with yourself, it will show through for others to see, thus resulting in more positive attention from the male gender. I can honestly say Thank You to Lisa because it made me realize that I don't have to settle for less in a man than I want.
Start getting dumped.......2007-03-11
This book is not what it says it is, and is a waste of time for any intelligent girl, or any one at all really. It basically tells you how to be dishonest and shallow and that is how to get what you want. Not much different from most any other book in this genre, so I would stick with a Vogue style relationship quiz and probably get more out of it than you would out of this book. Or honestly just be yourself and you'll have more luck than any advice you could get here.
Some good advice but too brief for me.......2007-01-15
The book is fine, but I expected more. If you haven't read anything on this subject, it is a good place to start, but if you have read other stuff, it may be a bit repetitive. The "rotation" was a new idea though.
If you do buy it, I suggest to also get something else. You can finish it in a couple of hours, and if you have to wait for several weeks like I had to, it would be frustrating.

Love, Lust and Craziness Explained.......2006-05-31
What makes relationships sizzle - and why do so many fizzle? Dr. Gordon's I LOVE YOU MADLY! admirably addresses both of these thorny, age-old questions. I can't say that the book solves the entire mystery of love - for no book could do that -- but the reader certainly comes away much wiser. I know that I did.

Lowering the Relationship Risk.......2006-05-29
The wisdom, clinical experience, and humor of the author served him well in writing this book. Doctor Robert M. Gordon has created a highly readable volume in "I Love you Madly!" Reading can never remove the innate risk of being in relationship, be it friendship or romantic love, but "I Love you Madly!" goes a long way to shed light and grace upon the unconscious processses involved in relating to others.
fantastic book! .......2006-04-26
I pre-ordered this book last week, got it yesterday - and couldn't put it down until I was done. WOW! I've never read anything like it. It intrigues you from the very first paragraph, it pulls you in and makes you turn page after page after page. So beautifully written. And you learn so much along the way! I just got a crash course in psychoanalysis in the most simple, poetic language. Fantastic!
A truly comprehensive look at love and relationships........2006-04-25
A remarkable book. Very few psychologists/psychotherapist would reveal and analyze their love relationships - Dr. Gordon does. Hardly any therapists, particularly those who are analytic, have the courage to show exactly what goes on in a therapy session - Dr. Gordon does. And along with this, a theoretical overview of what love relationships are about, and a comprehensive look at personality dynamics. This book offers psychologists and the general public an important understanding of what happens in a love relationship, and how they can go bad. Of particular note is the wonderfully poetic dialogue between two lovers - the grand human tragedy beautifully expressed.
I Loved I Love You Madly!.......2006-04-25
Dr. Robert Gordon has created a unique, enlightening, and entertaining exploration of love and human nature. I read it and I loved it.

Descriptive writing lesson on overload..........2007-09-30
Linda Palmer, author of Love You Madly, is a writing teacher. I always thought it would be hard to be a public speaking teacher, since you are discussing what is right and wrong about public speaking while the students are watching what you... speak! I guess if you are a writing teacher, students look at what you write.
In the case of Palmer, she seems to be of the "descriptive writer" camp. Don't just write that someone jumps in their car and drives away. Tell the color and model of car, the process of looking in the side mirrors as you pull away from the curb on 86th street in front of JuJu's Salon, et cetera.
That is obvious from this book. Now this isn't a bad technique. However, it seems overused in Love You Madly.
Morgan Tyler is the head writer for the popular daytime soap opera (daytime drama) "Love of My Life." The characters are all, well, unique. On top of this, Morgan herself has an amazing collection of men who love her madly. Then a stalker of one of her actors goes from troublesome to ...murderous? And Morgan becomes the next target. She, and her beaus, and all of her friends, work to solve this mystery.
So there is a "light mystery" novel here, surrounded by the descriptions:
"The coffee finished brewing. I took two mugs from the cabinet over the counter and emptied the grounds and the filter into the garbage can" (p. 287).
"When my eyes adjusted to the soft lighting, I saw that Jean-Luc's was furnished with deep banquettes upholstered in shades of ginger and rust. Long cloths in a subtle floral pattern covered the tables. Serene woodland murals lined the walls above the mahogany wainscoting" (p. 23).
"A quarter of a mile up Old Road I came to a freshly painted, two-story,classic white colonial-style building, set back against thick woods. In front of the hospital, a wide lawn that was just beginning to show signs of spring grass swept down from the colonnaded entrance to the road. A discreet oxidized bronze sign on one of the stone pillars flanking the mouth of the driveway identified the place as Franklin Woods Hospital" (p. 82).
With apologies to Amadeus, does this seem like "too many notes?" Like I stated, the mystery was somewhat enjoyable, but the filler was harder to take. Heroine Morgan seems to be able to do anything. And she's a soap opera writer!
Love You Madly is light entertainment.
Every book in this series is good..........2007-02-08
I have read 2 of the books in this series--they are both great. The story lines are dramatic but believable. The characterization is great--I hate when you get a good story, but the characters whine.
I am looking forward to more books by this author.
LOVE IT SUPREMELY.......2006-08-08
Soaps, Stars and now with this latest in the series ... Stalkers!
How does Linda Palmer do it? One could say ... "it's a mystery."
There's a pitfall inherent in series mysteries--how to continue to spin new plots, keeping the audience guessing, intrigued and involved. Hats off to you, Ms. Palmer, who has done a superb job in this, the third of the series.
I thought I was sufficiently charmed by Soap ... er, sorry, Daytime Drama Producer Morgan in the first two books. But the latest plotlines in "Love You Madly" are true delight: Best friend Nancy's wrangle with a horrid soon-to-be stepdaughter; three fabulous men all begging for Morgan's favors (excuse me? Three? In this day and age? Ms. Palmer might be accused of adding an element of fantasy!); the soap star with a mysterious past, completely different than Book #2, "Love Her to Death," and of course, the crazed stalker replete with her own twisted relative. The pacing, plot twists and well-drawn characters just keep getting better.
Loved #1 and #2. As for this Book #3, "Love You Madly": Loved it ... supremely.
Can't wait for #4!
Great series, but I think I liked the first two books better.......2006-07-19
I don't know why, because this was very well plotted and entertaining. I think perhaps that as the third in the series, the novelty is wearing off for me.
This series has as its detective-heroine Morgan Tyler, a producer-writer of a hit soap opera -- scratch that -- daytime drama. One of the leads has a problem: he's being stalked by a woman who thinks she is married to him. Morgan feels responsible for her stars since if anything happened to them she'd have a serious production problem. So she gets involved in trying to protect him from this women, although he refuses to involve the police. In the process of dealing with this woman, she ends up going to see someone who not long afterwards ends up the victim of foul play. Although one of her boyfriends, a homicide detective, warns her away from involvement, she IS involved, particularly when a murder attempt is made a few days later on someone else involved with the show.
The quick pace, entertaining behind-the-scenes-in-daytime-drama setting, and likeable main character (Morgan) make for a quick and enjoyable read. This is not Elizabeth George, however --like the dramas this author writes about, the emphasis is on entertainment, not high literary or artistic value. I intend to continue reading the series with pleasure, because sometimes I just want to be entertained!
LOVE IT MADLY!!.......2006-06-22
Great addition to what has become my favorite series. Can't wait for the next! Would love to see these made into films.

It goes into areas of unconscious personality dynamics that are often the reasons behind problems with intimacy. Readers will learn about healthy and disturbed love relations and what can be done about them.

We can now work towards true love........2007-09-16
Dr. Gordon's workbook is a great complement to his book "I Love You Madly!" but it definitely stands alone as another major resource in the field of relationships. Marriage therapists will find illuminating discussions on love and be able to use the workbook's exercises to more effectively work with their clients. The average self-help reader will also benefit by deepening their appreciation of how our past affects our present. I found his chapters on romantic love provoking and his concepts of "picking, provoking, and distorting" very useful in understanding how we sabotage our love relations. Finally, as Dr. Gordon points out, insight alone is not enough. But, courageous and curious readers, and
therapists who are dedicated to truly understanding and learning from their clients will reap great rewards by working with Dr. Gordon's valuable principles.

I need a new copy of this workbook!.......2007-08-10
My original has been dog-eared, highlighted, and underlined beyond recognition! Even since my first kiss (Eve Reisbaum, July of 1969), I have pondered many of the questions addressed in Dr. Gordon's workbook. What is love? Why is it often so difficult? Why did pressing my lips against Eve Reisbaum's on that memorable summer night set my entire body on fire? As I discovered in this gem of a book, the answers are to be found in the depths of our psyches. The practical exercises offered give excellent clues as to where to begin to examine those depths.

A workbook about healthy and disturbed love relations.......2007-07-25
Dr. Gordon published this companion booklet to disseminate self knowledge about those areas of romantic love which he already outlined in his first publication, "I Love You Madly!' We commend Dr. Gordon for his attempts to simplify complicated matters and to make them available in a scientific form which can be easily understood by most people. A really entertaining tale.......2000-08-03
In Austin, an upset Emerald visits her stepsister Darcy, who is working on a sculpture of a bookworm for the nearby children's wing of the library. Apparently their mother Olivia Ferrar, married three times and now a widow, plans to return to the altar with someone she met in cyberspace. A few minutes later, Sloan English sent by his distraught aunt from his Tulsa home arrives at Darcy's home to consult with her about his father John's plans to marry her mother after meeting on the Internet.
However, to Darcy's horror, Sloan collapses at her feet. Apparently, he suffers from a non-contagious illness he caught while traveling overseas. Later on, while Sloan and Darcy confer about their parents and other lunatic relatives, they fall in love with one another. However, their relationship has little hope of permanency if her stepsister and his aunt have any say in the matter.
P.S. LOVE YOU MADLY is an amusing contemporary romance with the emphasis on contemporary as the net and e-mail play major roles in the story line. The lead couple is a delightful duo who play straight roles as the zany support cast takes them on a wilder ride than that of Mr. Toad. Anyone who enjoys a hilarious romantic romp will gain extensive joy from best-selling author Bethany Campbell's twenty-first century comedy of errors.

With an introduction by May Morris. This Elibron Classics book is a facsimile reprint of a 1912 edition by Longmans, Green, and Company, London, New York, Bombay, Calcutta.
Book Description
The Glittering Plain was the first of Morris's great fantasies, published in 1891, and it set the style for such later works as The Wood Beyond the World, The Well at World's End, and The Water of the Wondrous Isles.

A Glittering Fantasy Novel.......2001-08-22
This is usually considered the first of William Morris's fantasy novels. Whether that is the case or not, he had certainly perfected the genre by the time he wrote this novel. Morris's pseudo-mediaeval prose style is at its most enchanting, while the story keeps the reader enthralled throughout the volume. I highly recommend this book for all lovers of imaginary-world fantasy.
Book Description
"Drink, O black-fledged nestling! But call a health over the cup if thou wilt." So Hallblithe raised the cup aloft and cried: "Health to the House of the Raven and to them that love it! an ill day to its foemen!" Then he set his lips to the cup and drank; and that wine seemed to him better and stronger than any he had ever tasted. But when he had given the cup back again to Fox, that red one filled it again, and cried over it.

It has been told that there was once a young man of free kindred and whose name was Hallblithe: he was fair, strong, and not untried in battle; he was of the House of the Raven of old time.
