Book Description
The eagerly awaited film from the director of Three Kings, an "existential comedy" starring Dustin Hoffman, Isabelle Huppert, Jude Law, Jason Schwartzman, Lily Tomlin, Mark Wahlberg, and Naomi Watts.
Albert Markovski (Jason Schwartzman), head of the Open Spaces Coalition, has been experiencing an alarming series of coincidences, the meaning of which escapes him. With the help of two Existential Detectives, Bernard and Vivian Jaffe (Dustin Hoffman and Lily Tomlin), Albert examines his life, his relationships, and his conflict with Brad Stand (Jude Law), an executive climbing the corporate ladder at Huckabees, a popular chain of retail superstores.
When Brad also hires the detectives, they dig deep into his seemingly perfect life and his relationship with his spokesmodel girlfriend, the voice of Huckabees, Dawn Campbell (Naomi Watts). Albert pairs up with rebel firefighter Tommy Corn (Mark Wahlberg) to take matters into their own hands under the guidance of the Jaffes' nemesis, the French radical Caterine Vauban (Isabelle Huppert).
The Newmarket Shooting Script® book includes the complete original screenplay, a Q & A with director David O. Russell, film stills, and complete cast and crew credits.

Into the minds and hearts of women hunters.......2004-05-20
This book is a wonderful collection of women's feelings about and experience of the hunt. Stange has done a masterful job of including both historic and contemporary accounts that go far beyond mere 'hunting stories' to reach into the minds and emotions of the contributors. It is a 'must read' for women hunters especially, but also for men who hunt and for nonhunters who would understand these remarkable and eloquent women who hunt.

Enjoyable but...........2003-11-19
As a beginning duck hunter, I plowed through this book with excitement. It really fed my enthusiasm. When I was done, I started planning for the season by researching gear I needed to buy and planning trips. At this point I tried to go back to the book to get some idea of this persons opinion on these decisions. Unfortunately, they were not there. It is a good overview of all aspects of duck hunting but does not go very deep. Take decoys for example. He explains the different sizes and motion decoys available but does not offer insight on when one is better that the other, what species make up a good spread, etc. DU magazine had a 4 page article some months back that nailed all of these issues. I compared it to this books chapter and found the latter lacking. That has repeated itself on other topics as well. So, if you love to duck hunt and want a book to get you excited and has great photos, get the book. If you want the nitty gritty, go elsewhere.

Book Description
Rodrigo Meirelles comes from a family that dates back to the original pioneers who settled Brazil. He is a very articulate writer and has a flair that will keep the reader wanting to read on. He has a zest for life that allows the reader to escape into the adventures that he is writing about and the ability to write about the hunting or fishing experiences that would escape the average reader. True to the pioneer spirit, Rodrigo set himself to explore the world, working and raising a family while keeping his dreams alive and pursuing his passion for hunting and shooting wherever he goes, be it South and North America, Europe, Asia, or Africa. Rodrigo has written about hunting for alligators in Brazil as well as dove in Michigan and his first African safari, but unlike other authors, Rodrigo brings you adventures that you can live by just stepping out into the outdoors right in your backyard.

Nice book.......2007-02-14
But I disliked the internal pictures quality. I want to see when he tells about the time when we spent nights at Sandor Hauser home learning to reload cartdriges in a homemade C Press, and also the time in CRA, SHTE, APTA. And there are lots of Brazilian friends waiting the Potruguese edition.
A great read!.......2007-02-03
This was a great book. I am by no means a hunter but this book was full of many colorful and entertaining anecdotes that I enjoyed immensely. The author's very unique background made for many stories that translate into his love for hunting and apparently compliment his natural story-teller nature. I would highly recommend this to anyone that enjoys reading about life's passion - whether it be hunting or family, Rodrigo Meirelles has the ability to keep your attention and leave you wondering if there will be a sequel soon...
Fun and Interesting Stories.......2007-01-20
I really enjoyed reading this book. It did catch my whole attention on the stories very well versed. Had the desire to go on and on, and read more and more....just couldn't stop.
I highly recomend this reading. All stories are very interesting. Would like to see a volume II some time..........

Character and Ethics.......2004-12-06
It's obvious by his writing that Flores has spent many a day in "the field". One can further glean from his writings that he does so because, like so many of us, the outdoors and hunting is as much food-for-the-soul as it is for dinner table.
I rate this book 5-Stars because if you've been-there, done-that - you can't help but relate to every chapter in this book.
It makes me want to grab the Lab, my son and trusty boat and head to the blind.
Michael Kidder's Review.......2004-07-27
I am a 16 year-old young man who has the pleasure and privilage of knowing the author of this remarkable book of hunting experiences. The book has given me a new perspective on hunting and life itself in ways I never expected. It opened up my mind to the hunting experiences that I never had. The way the author wrote in detail about the experiences he had as a young man and an adult touched me a lot. I would recommend this book to any young hunter who loves to hunt or any young man who dreams of hunting. Thank you for writing this book Mr. John, I loved it.
Heilman Review.......2004-07-20
Being an outdoor person and one who really appreciates the outdoors, I really enjoyed John's book. Some parts made me cry and some made me laugh. Some of the sories were a little scary because I have been jin some of the same situations. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys God's great outdoors. Bill Heilman
This is a must read for the wife of a hunter. It will give you new understanding of why he loves the outdoors. Perhaps enough that you will want to go with the next time. I truly enjoyed it and we are both looking forward to more books from John. Katherine heilman

Many things to many people........2007-05-07
Superman is an Icon and that is what this book is all about. Superman was the first real superhero, he set the standard for everyone that followed and he continues to set the standard. The covers presented in this book provide a history not just of Superman but of comics themselves. It shows the changes that the man of steel has gone through over the years, it also shows covers selected by individuals involved with the Superman legend and you get to find out what Superman means to them. This is a fantastic book for Superman fans and comic book fans in general, because even if your not a fan of Superman himself, whoever you are a fan of has been influenced by him, and you'll see those influences in the beautiful covers presented in this book.
A collectors and Superman's Fans must have!!!.......2006-09-01
Can you imagine to have in your own hands a selected collection of Superman covers?
This book has 270 of the must beautiful front pages in the almost 70 years of the character's history. From the original Shuster's art of the 30's and 40's to the amazing Alex Ross' illustrations, the book is like have a time machine to review the best moments of the superhero.
Plus it have a covers' colection from the people in the world of Superman. The writers, the illustrators, the editors and even the actors who portrait the Superman's Mithology pick their favorite cover and explains their choice.
This book is a legacy.
Colorful Enjoyable Read.......2006-07-16
This is a fun, bright coffeetable book. For the most part, this edition is a great deal lighter in tone and color than it's sister edition, Batman: Cover to Cover.
The editors did an excellent job selecting covers from different decades and genres and even managed to include most of my favorites. One strong asset is getting picks from Brandon Routh, Jack Larson, Marv Wolfman, Richard Donner, and so many people who contributed to the Superman mythos. Kudos!!
Conversely, it's sad that we'll never know which covers Julius Schwartz, Curt Swan, Joe ShusterJerry Siegel, and others who have passed on might have chosen, but excellent choices.
Superman: Cover to Cover also shows how American's culture and society have changed since the fourties, and boy does it show as the fourties have war times colors move unto the brightness of the fifties and the sixties, and then later on to grittiness of the more lifelike Byrne version.
Still, I wish they could have included a few more covers from the sixties and seventies, back when the DC Comics and the Character was on "cheese" mode, but I loved the era and I would have liked to have seen more of the Lois Lane covers from the period where she declared her independence.
With over two hundred covers chosen, it's hard to believe the thousands that had to be passed over for this effort. Perhaps DC will decide to release a Superman: Cover to Cover volume II.
Sincerely,
JThree
