Astrologers, hang on to your hats: Bil Tierney is behind the wheel of another heavy-duty book, and he's ready to take you on a road trip into the unexplored astrological significances of Saturn. You'll see that Saturn isn't just a celestial parent making sure we follow the rules; it is "the cosmic version of collagen," allowing us to think in terms of "me" and "you," rather than functioning as one undifferentiated life form. Tierney gives a tour of each of Saturn's aspects, houses, and signs, as well as its different modalities. He even points out the similarities between Saturn's astrological character and its role in mythology, psychology, and astronomy, which makes Twelve Faces of Saturn a hefty reference work. Lest you fear for your sanity in the face of all of this weighty information, take heart in knowing that Tierney's unique sense of humor is injected into every facet of this informative astrological tool.

Saturnian Delight :).......2002-08-07
This is a great work on Saturn! Traditionally, Saturn gets labeled as a malefic, but Tierney thankfully shows how working with Saturn energy brings great gifts. Tierney's writing is clear, concise, and punctuated with just the right dose of humor. The book covers Saturn in signs, houses, and in aspect quite thoroughly. He offers practical insight for working with the configurations. This is a must for every astrology library.
Rather good read, Very useful information, well written.......2000-07-21
Well written book about a "malefic" planet. Saturn really is a guardian angel, if it could get past it's bad reputation! Mr. Tierney makes the reading light with bits of humour and twists on words - very good book indeed.
Love it! Wonderful information clearly presented!.......1999-07-12
This is an exceptional book. The author has done a masterful job of presenting "heavy" material in an entertaining manner. The "12 letter" approach used by Zip Dobbyns is made more understandable in this book and I particularly like the use of "principles" substituted for "letters" because it seems to broaden the horizons of astrology . I also like the fact that Mr. Tierney, while respecting the views of the sticklers for "political correctness" found a way to spare us the cumbersome "he/she" writing style. I love the humor interspersed at various intervals which lightens the sometimes too solemn/serious approach of practitioners of astrology. The book also clarifies the subtle differences between house and sign and makes crystal clear the differences and similarities between sign and planet. This book is a valuable addition to the astrological literature of the modern world and is valuable for beginners and professionals alike! As one who has studied astrology for 30 years, I applaud the author for his fresh, original approach to a fascinating subject.

Book Description
You would know it anyplace -- my angel's face...
When a little boy wanders away while picking blackberries, his distraught mother enlists the help of Old Crow to find him. Her description of the child is so beautifully poetic that when the crow sees a child, who is as plain as a cricket, sleeping under a bush, he nearly flies on by. But on second thought, Old Crow decides to bring the child back rather than return empty-handed. As the mother joyfully wraps the boy in her arms, Old Crow realizes that every child is beloved and unique -- especially in his mother's eyes.
Sumptuous illustrations by Caldecott winner David Diaz and a complimentary CD performed by singer/songwriter Sarah Weeks make this book a breathtaking and tender celebration of a mother's love.

Book Description
Last in a long line of suffering Mexican women, Soveida Dosamantes is a survivor. Writing a handbook for waitresses called The Book of Service, Soveida reflects on her own service in life, the interconnected lives of work and family, and the role of women in a machismo society. An extraordinary novel full of passion and intensity.

Fascinated.......2006-08-25
If you like John Steinbeck, Oscar Lewis, Upton Sinclair, J.D. Salinger, William Shakespeare, and Socrates, and even if you did not like any of these authors, you'd still adore and love author Denise Chavez. Her novel "Face Of An Angel" to some readers might be a 'chisme', a gossip. To others, however, it will be a brave and gallantly told tale of life in the town of Agua Oscura.
If you take a tablespoon of John Steinbeck, a teaspoon of Oscar Lewis, a pinch of Upton Sinclair, a pinch of William Shakespeare, and sprinkle some of the philosophy of Socrates, you'd come up with the writing style of Denise Chavez.
Her style places the reader in that time and places the reader has never been to and much less spent time on. The reader becomes engrossed, mesmerized, captivated, spellbound, enthralled, and fascinated by the tales, or chismes, the author spins like a yarn of silk for the reader. Denise makes the reader feel the reality of life in a way the reader has never touched life's reality before.
Denise Chavez is not only witty, clever, amusing, humorous, entertaining, sharp and funny, but she is understanding, compassionate, empathetic, quick-witted, and yes, tragic as well with the meaning of life and writing.
There is not enough stars to evaluate Denise Chavez' "Face Of An Angel." I strongly recommend her novel. I guarantee you will not put the book down until the end, and then you will be asking for more.
absolutely loved it, can't wait to read it again.......2004-07-09
An awesome book. Written in an accessible, almost conversational, but also a very poetic style. Chavez explores a lot of feminine themes -- what does it mean to be a modern woman? how does that relate to familiar and cultural traditions? what role should our bodies and sexuality play in our vision of ourselves? should we stay connected to traditional maternal wisdom (an unmentioned mother goddess, I suppose)? Chavez also takes on the role of sociologist in rendering the Mexican-American community, it's people, culture, and problems. Overall an amazing book. I carried it with me day and night, stealing every moment I could to indulge in the pleasure of reading it.
good book.......2003-05-14
The story of Soveida is one of the best ones I have read. Soveida is a Latina girl growing up in New Mexico. It is the story of her life and her growing up. It has a different plot line, of a Catholic girl who wants to be a saint as a little girl, but as she grows up she has more realilistic dreams. She begins to work in a local resturant as a young teen and continues to work there throughout her adult life. Her family is also a major part of her life. The author also includes stories of her parents, and her grandparents, and her great grandparents. It is a wonderful book full of family gossip, a great read.
A definite must read.......2003-04-21
An absolutely hilarious journey. A great mixture of points of views, different narratives, different cultures and generations. So real I just couldn't put it down. Amazing insights into the life of a woman.
A Great Book to Read.......2003-03-26
With school and all in the way, I manage to find time to read the book during bus rides. This is a beautifully written story about the Mexican-American women who struggle with thier identity and themselves. Soveida Dosamantes, the narrator of the book, daughter of Dolores and granddaughter of Mama Lupita, is an independent twice married woman working as a waitress at a restaurant runned by a Mexican-American who has little connection to his culture.
She deals with the men in her lives beginning with her father, who cheated on her mother constantly; her brother Hector, who marries a woman because she's pregnant, yet is involved with another woman; her first husband Ivan, who cheated on her with the town slut; Veryl, her Anglo husband who commits suicide; J.V., the professor who buries his head in academics; and Tirzio, the man she is in love with but is married.
Ms. Chavez's novel is moving describing how each woman dealt differently to their family situations, community and themselves. In addition to Soveida and her family, the other characters make the book an interesting read.

This is a wonderful book. Very funny at times! Not only is the story about April, Dr. Gray and Grace good, but the subplot of April's friend's search for love is touching too. I definately recommend it.
A happy and sweet book for all romance collecters........1997-09-03
All the characters is this book are heart warming. April and Dr. Gray have a great chemistry together. Grace is a nice little bit of spice thrown in and made it all the more interesting. I loved this book and couldn't put it down. I would and do suggest this book to all who adore romance as much as I

"She looks like she?s from heaven. But she?s leading him straight to hell? They call her Angel Face. She is as beautiful as her killings are brutal. Her victims are doctors. Her list of targets is long. And Jordan Carpenter is next. The CIA has asked him to help capture her. Ensnare her. Beat her at her own game. It?s a risky proposition, but he has no choice. Jordan, so used to saving others? lives, now has to save his own. How could such a lovely woman possess such a diabolical mind? In pictures, she seems innocent and sweetly sensual. But in person, he?s been told, she?s seductive. Evil. Obsessed. Her face haunts him. Thoughts of her consume him. And the moment they touch, he knows he will never be free of her. This angel. This innocent. This killer? "

Don't bother.......2007-03-17
Don't bother reading this book. I thought it was a waste of time. Had lots of potential, but ended up being a terrible read. It appears that Forster wanted to throw her readers off in terms of figuring out who the serial killer was, but ended up just completely ruining the development of her characters. Very confusing. Plotline consisted of a couple main events haphardzardly thrown together. Ending seemed abrupt and definitely not expected, in a bad way. This novel needs some serious revisions.
Confused plotting and lack of credibility.......2002-04-06
An embarrassing misfire from Suzanne Forster who gave us sexually-charged read like her Blush and Innocence. ANGEL FACE as her latest work involves Dr. Jordan Carpenter who gets entangled with a killer Angel Face. He is informed by CIA agent Edwin Truitt that he is deemed the next target by the lust murderer who has slained off other doctors. She is rumoured to be disturbed from her abused past and entices her prey with her innocence. Angela Lowe works at SmartTech a researching company who specializes in its invention of a system that taps into the mind of violent serial killer. Haunted by fragments of her pasts, she decides to piece them out through Jordan who is cautious of her begiling identity as Angel Face....
ANGEL FACE lacks the credibility to fuel its suspense. Her knowledge of clinical psychology explodes and bombards the reader, taking him to several unnecessary plot twists. Though erotically titillating at times with the jungle scene between Jordan and Angela, the plot tends to be confusing and ends up in a sputtering mess even to the point when the explanation is done. As such the reader is busy figuring out the plot rather than focusing his attention on Jordan and Angela.
It tries to be avant-garde but the contrived twists make ANGEL FACE confusing and absurd to even consider this read angelic. Forster's penchance for building erotic tension is thus a wasted effort here to bolster the romance. ANGEL FACE could have been so much more.
FIRST AND LAST..........2001-09-20
This is my first and last book by Suzanne Forster. Had heard good things about past books and thought that I would give this one a try.
Bizarre characterizations and an absurdly convuluted plot made this book painful to read. It just kept getting worse!
If I could give zero stars, I would.
A plot line only it's mother could love..........2001-09-01
I have enjoyed Suzanne Forster's books in the past, so I was thrilled to see this in the store. However, it's convoluted plot was so unbelievable that I had trouble turning the pages. The whole Mexico scenario was absurd. This book has made me place Ms. Forster's future novels on my "checkout from the library" list - rather than buying her products from the store. Save your money!
Could have been so much more..........2001-08-24
I enjoy Suzanne Forster's books but each time I read one, especially like Angel Face, I wish she put a little more into them. Her plot(s) seem to be solid, such as Angel Face's was. Serial killer in doubt; a single gorgeous rich doctor tracks her down in Mexico out of intrigue. OK I could buy the plot, but I just feel as if the writing doesn't get beneath the surface of the plot to make me believe in it. I mean I totally thought Angela Lowe was off her rocker when she had Jordon all tied up and was "torturing" him. I mean you look at that, and some books make you believe that even the impossible can come true, but it seemed too much like a male fantasy and not what a skittish, amnesiac female would do. And what was with the fruit juice??? I just couldn't buy that Jordon could love Angela, maybe lust after her body, but not love her-- she seemed like such a nut case and most people make wide leeway for crazy people, especially hunky single doctors (the saw-bones ones anyway).
I thought Blush had excellent potential but even that did not live up to the expectation that I thought it could have...but then Suzanne is a published author and I am not.
I like Suzanne Forster, I just wish she had more ink on the paper. I hope to read something excellent from her soon and recount my beliefs on her stories.

Not Free SF Reader.......2007-09-03
The Dark Lord guy stirs the pot a bit.
Rand also gets fed up with the sexist sorceresses and says, hey, you blokes can do magic too if you can, and establishes his own band of magic wielders with Mazrim Taim to lead them.
The females get upset at this threat to their power, and come after Rand.
Yet another power base, that of the army of religious fanatics also comes more into play.
I've had all I can stand..........2007-07-21
The rampant mary-suism, the perfect (and morally superior) aiel, the spanking the lectures from Rand and the wise ones, and the sister-wives have at last done me in. I liked this series at first because the characters were small town kids setting off on adventures. Suddenly they are all uber-powerful super-teens who boss around people twice their age. They are all beautiful, wise, and eternally youthful of face. Everyone who is anyone is about 20 years old. The 20 year olds can wield weapons like veterans twice their age. The female characters are almost universally 'the most powerful the tower/wise ones' have ever seen. Rand laments the deaths of female chararacters and yet persists in having a female honor guard and three girlfriends. Totally inconsistant with his upbringing. The sister wife thing... Yeek...Total guy fantasy. No self-respecting woman let alone a queen would agree to 'share' her man with two other women... Women don't share very easily I don't care how close they are. There is jealousy and hurt, and lack of equality.
Towards the end of this one I began to loathe Rand's character. He is supercillious and annoying.
1 star.
Spinning the Wheel of Time.......2007-05-25
I continue to enjoy the Wheel of Time series and they do not seem to get boring like other series. I have listened to them all and everyone has an exciting plot with stunning twists. Now if I could make it through them all that would be a challange.
3.5 stars and downhill from here: be forewarned.......2007-04-25
This is book 6 of the 12-book Wheel of Time series (book 12 will be released in 2008 or 2009, depending upon the author's health and ability to write -- he has a serious blood disease). Each of the previous volumes weighed in at 750-900+ pages paperback as do the ones that follow, and this one is also no afternoon read. Worse yet, it changes the pace and focus of the story.
After learning his identity and embracing his destiny, Rand al'Thor the messiah figure and primary character in the story slows down. Instead of seeking to conquer the rest of the continent after his successful campaigns to date, he tries to hold what he has while the nations he has not conquered are thrown into chaos. He does, however, establish the Black Tower -- the yin to the yang of White Tower.
The other villagers who left Rand's hometown with him are the primary foci of this tale as Nynaeve makes tremendous discoveries and Egwene's life changes momentously, setting up the White Tower/Rebel Aes Sedai thread that pervades books 7-11.
Ultimately, however, both changes (focus, pacing) are negative: the story slows from the breakneck adventure of books 1-5 as Robert Jordan sets the stage for the remaining volumes. But those volumes are even slower, longer and less interesting: book 7 introduces yet more plotlines that bog down the story, in book 8 Jordan adds a new capture-and-rescue issue that takes until book 11 to get sorted out with no significant advancement of the overall plotline despite about 500 pages devoted to it. Worse yet, book 10 consists of 800+ pages of day-in-the-life updates on the characters with nearly no plot movement.
The end of Lord of Chaos is explosive and thrilling, fully worthy of the previous entries. But it engenders a false hope that the next volumes would build upon the momentum. They don't. Instead, the series wallows as Jordan concentrates too much on peripheral plotlines, devotes far too little attention to Rand, and increases the cast of characters beyond belief. Book 11 starts setting up the end-game, but it's a lot to ask for a clean and complete ending to this series in book 12.

this is one of the best series of books Ive read in a long time. the events happen at a pace that makes it hard to put down. I'm a commercial fisherman,Iread alot on my down time they are enchanting enough to take me away to a different world even 125 miles out in the ocean. I highly reccomend this series to all sci-fi readers. My one and only regret is that Mr.jordan cannot produce them fast enough.then again if he did they would not be as engrosing. My eyes and mind await the tenth installment of the series "the wheel of time"
Best of RJ Review.......2001-01-18
Having already read these four books and enjoyed them all, the tapes were also very good. The books were fantastic but, i could not read while i drove or did certain other tasks that required my eyes and hands now that is taken care of. I can now do just about anything and enjoy these great books. So, i do recommend reading the books but, if your a person on the go then this collection on tape is a fantastic substitute.
Product Description
Being introduced to the Wheel of Time series through LORD OF CHAOS (book six in the series) is a little like immersion training in a foreign language. But Kate Reading and Michael Kramer are able and experienced guides. The readers are well matched in helping the plot unfold through the thoughts, feelings and actions of a large cast of characters. Each presents one of two major strands of the story line, showing familiarity and facility with the characters and cultures in this tale of magic and intrigue. Although Kramer and Reading have somewhat different styles, they fit well together, and the sharing of the plot between them is particularly welcome in a book of this length. J.E.M. © AudioFile 2000

Murder! Mayhem! Suicide! Neo-Nazis!! They're all here...and more!!!.......2007-06-19
In the mid-1990's Norway was scandalized by a series of church arsons. The true nature of the crimes became a media sensation when it was revealed that a number of native Black Metal musicians were tied to the crime spree. Murders soon followed arson as the crimes became even more bizarre and shocking.
Lords of Chaos is an in-depth look at the scene that spawned these incidents. Moynihan and Soderlind's book is probably one of the oddest true crime stories that I have ever read. It's clearly an ambitious work, and it often suffers from trying to cover too much ground at once. It's a Black Metal history that turns into a true crime novel and finally morphs into a sociological treatise on Satanism and nationalism.
It profiles a number of the prime movers in the Norwegian Black Metal scene, and has an amazing number of interesting photographs and illustrations that provide tremendous depth of detail into the subjects at hand. Moving quickly from a short history of the development of Black Metal, the authors begin to delve into the tragic events surrounding the band Mayhem. Mayhem's leader Oystein Aarseth (stage name Euronymous) and his cohorts set out to form the most sinister band imaginable, setting a cartoonish Satanic image up against a furious wall of metallic sound. Mayhem would provide the blueprint for a generation of followers, not only in sound but in background philosophy. Mayhem intended to live out their Satanic image to the hilt, proving to all that they were no mere posers. This desire for authenticity would eventually lead to a crime wave that still reverberates today, as grave desecrations and church arsons eventually led to murders and a rise of nationalistic imagery not seen since the heyday of the Nazis.
The authors have great source material and were lucky enough to get firsthand interviews with a number of the primary subjects in the book. The writing moves along at a good pace, as the reader is taken on a whirlwind tour of the Black Metal scene.
My main gripe with the book was the substandard level of editing. There were numerous misspellings and printing errors throughout the book. Also, as I stated earlier, I thought that the authors really lost track of where they were going with the book. It's a crime book with a lot of music history and cultural observation......or maybe it's a music history intertwined with a true crime novel.....or perhaps it's a sociological deconstruction based on a true crime story with Black Metal for it's background source. I don't know......it's confusing, but it somehow all works out in the end.
Truth is certainly stranger than fiction. There is no way that a writer could make up this cast of characters or the storyline that accompanies them. It's a truly amazing ride into a netherworld of Satanism and extreme music, where violence and aggression are rewarded and civilized society is reviled.
Highly recommended.
Inaccurate.......2007-05-31
I have numerous black and death metal albums and am a huge fan of extreme metal but trust me this book has a skeleton of truth and a lot of inaccuracies.
I talked to Hellhammer when he toured with Dimmu last month and he told me the book misquoted him. What he originally said was some Norwegians are racist, and then the book published him as saying he himself was. That couldn't be farther from the truth. He is a very tolerant person.
Also if you look in google for Varg Vikernes's webpage he lists all the inaccuracies of the book down to pages and paragraphs.
This is a propaganda book, much like when Hollywood turns your favorite book into a movie and then they turn the story into what they want it to be.
Better than your average........2007-02-26
Excellent. I have read and re-read this book several times. The subject matter interviewed and covered are typically disgusting pigs, with what I believe to be an undue amount of attention given to Varg Vikernes. Focuses somewhat more on the sensational, true crime elements of the music, and the incredibly asinine/boring political views of the nationalistic elements of the scene as opposed to covering landmark releases, turning points in the music becoming more mainstream, etc. I would have preferred a little more discussion of the music as opposed to a whole chapter about Vikernes' obviously deluded belief that Aryans were created by extraterrestrial robots. Monyhan and Sonderlind repeatedly point out that (for better or worse) Cradle Of Filth and Dimmu Borgir are the biggest black metal bands in the world, but have only two brief interviews with Dani Filth, and a short interview with the label heads at Nuclear Blast talking about how many Dimmu records have been sold. It definetly seems like the NATIONALISTIC PAGAN CHURCH BURNING GRAVE DEFILING CHRIST-HATING MURDERERS have the spotlight over the music and musicians. That being said, the book is still a fascinating and engrossing read, written by a team who have a good deal of respect and appreciation for the music.

pure and simple "lords of chaos".......2006-08-06
This book has a lot of views. form fans, from the musicians, from people who dealt with the subject of satanism for a long time. the most enjoyable part of this book is the stories of how far fans and others took the whole black metal scene to its extremes. they really believe in what they do and did. also, this book has pretty interesting points of view. this book will make you think about organized religion and controlled society by governments and its laws. this book is only for people with open minds to every aspect of life, religions, music and even to the believes of flying saucers. seems funny but its true.
Book Description
What's the right faith for those who clamor for spirituality, but strain at the confines of organized religion? Discordia — described as a religion disguised as a joke disguised as a religion — may be the answer. Starting from the "firm belief that it is a mistake to hold firm beliefs," Discordia lays out a tongue-in-cheek plan for worshipping Eris, the Greek goddess of discord. Loads of laughter and paradox are key to keeping the faith, as well as counter-evangelism, surrealist pranking, and the presentation of absurd rewards to distinguished individuals. Packaged in a trendy new edition, Discordia brings an underground classic that has sowed chaos for 50 years to a new generation of neo-pagans.

Don't get this book!.......2007-09-18
This is nothing but a rewritten, and copyrighted! version of the Principia. Go for another version, or get one online in either text, html, or pdf format.
This book should not have a copyright, but should be copyleft, all rights reversed, reprint what you like!
For Pseudo-Discordians.......2007-06-26
This book was derived from PRINCIPIA DISCORDIA created in the 1970s and purposefully put into the public domaine by its authors, both of whom are now in the "spirit" world. Public domaine material belongs to the public and ANYONE and take it and do ANYTHING they want with it. Public domaine material that is substantially changed and/or put together in a different way becomes a "creative" work and can be copyrighted.
Discordians who consider Principia Discordia to be their bible, have a motto: "There are no rules!' But they do not mean what they say, because they now maintain that there is a rule - don't touch Principia Discordia and don't copyright any new edition. Duh? Ronin published this book. Anyone who knows anything about Ronin (Japanese unindentured samurai - wave man) knows that Ronin do what they damn well please, including breaking stupid, backward, rigid "rules". Many of Ronin's book offend the narrow minded and hypersensitive.
Now, when has a copyright stopped a Discordian? Literary thieves are stealing copyrighted material constantly and posting it on line, photocopying it, selling it on the side and so forth. Copyrights are for the mainstream book trade and so-called legitimate publishers.
Some Discordians are annoyed with DISCORDIA. So what?! Ronin's reply: "If you don't like this edition, go out and create one of your own." And, oh, you better have a bucket of money and you better not expect to make money - 'cause you gotta be rich to engage in the folly of publishing. It is exceedinly difficult to make money in publishing. For example, all those books in brick and mortor bookstores - have NOT been purchased. They have been "ordered". Then when the store gets the distributor's bill, they just return 'um. Returns, even in pristine condition, are considered "damaged" and unsellable in bookstores. Independent small publishers like Ronin Publishing are burdoned with about 30% returns (Big time New York publishers can easily run 50% returns). It is practically a magic trick to stay in business when 30 cents of the manufacturing dollar is considered unsellable trash. Of course, there is production, overhead, shipping, storage, and marketing - and royalty - all of which much come out of 40% (it's actually less) of the retail. We're talking pennies potential profit per unit sold. The creation of DISCORDIA took many, many months and Potter has yet to be paid a penny for this creative Work. And she (I) ain't holding her breath.
Contrary to several assertions in these "reviews", considerable new material was added to DISCORDIA and many many new illustrations. Illustrations can not be "stolen" from public domaine. You, I and everyone owns PD material. It is ours. Perhaps meaning in some places was altered, as accused. Oh? Hummmm, doesn't that fit into chaos and confusion? Who are these pseudo-Discordians with pc-mentality and their brains inside the box?
This book was created because the material is hallarious and brilliant. However, the original 1970s book was laid out by hand, and crammed into pages--as characteristic of old low budget works. Being so crammed and condensed it was hard to read. The illustrations were similarly crammed and a whole lot more were needed. Pulling the material out, enlarging it and adding to it - makes it more readable. Also, this edition is way more "commercial" and the cover "catchy" - which makes it accessible to readers who don't know about Discordia.
To DISCORDIANS: Stop harping about this edition breaking your rules. The authors put the book in the public domaine for you to play with. Get off of your rigid butts and create your own editions - or shut up about it - or keep complaining - thus revealing yourselves to not be pseudo-DISCORDIANS - pc-er than thou!
Hail Eris!!!!!
Disregard Earlier Reviews.......2007-01-27
Early on there was much ado about this version being sub standard. Phooey! Graphic wise and print wise it is an improvement over the edition of the Pricipa Discordia I own (Yellow cover). I for one am grateful that this holy book is back in print. Although, the reason I held back a star was for the high price. Hail Eris! Hail Discordia!
Yes please.......2006-11-03
I regularly buy reprinted editions of public domain works. Please support the publisher by buying a used copy. Hail Eris.
Steal this review........2006-11-03
Alterations to the unalterable holy text improve the Godness quotient of this rampant publication.
Preternatural references to the Godless Padre Pederastia cannot help but uncover certain samenesses within blue typography.
Samoan natives try, and Alaskan King Crab weep. But, still, without copyright nor copyleft, nor common copies, all stand.

Compelling and fun.......2003-04-06
Cloud of Chaos, Planet of Light is a richly written futuristic novel which was a pleasure to read. The characters are filled with believable angst, sorrows and joys, which give the book dimension beyond that of the usual sci-fi. In this time of war, when we yearn for an image of what the world could be like if there were peace, this book gives a view of a society that has achieved this goal.
Compellng story.......2003-02-18
Cloud of Chaos Planet of Light is more than science fiction. The lives of the main characters are skillfully brought together in their effort to prevent, or escape from, earth's imminent doom, and at the same time draws the reader into their personal emotional struggles. The attention to scientific details is also impressive. It's a compelling story, one that's difficult to put down.
