Another rediscovered masterpiece from the author of Embers: an erotically charged novel—written within the framework of historical reality—about Casanova’s fateful encounter with the woman who finally defeats him.

In 1756 Giacomo Casanova escaped from the dreaded cells of Venice’s most infamous jail: it is at this moment that Sándor Márai begins his story. Stopping to rest at the Italian village of Bolzano, Casanova secures a loan to rebuild his life, and resumes his art of seduction. But there is another reason he has come to this particular village: the memory of a duel he fought long ago with the duke of Parma over a girl named Francesca. Casanova lost the fight; Francesca became the duke’s wife; and the duke spared Casanova’s life on condition that he never set eyes on her again. The village of Bolzano is part of the duke’s lands. Now an old man, the duke arrives at the inn with a love letter he has intercepted from his wife to Casanova. He could kill Casanova on the spot but instead makes him an irresistible offer, one that will ultimately be the downfall of the notorious lover.

Brimming with the richness and psychological tension that made Embers an international best seller, Casanova in Bolzano is further proof that Sándor Márai stands among the twentieth century’s greatest literary voices.

4 out of 5 stars Sic Transit Romantic Love.......2007-09-24

If a book is new to me, I tend to skip the intros, whether the translator's, author's or critic's. I picked CAZANOVA up based on a review I scanned, without reading closely. So it wasn't until near the end of it that I realized "this cannot be a contemporary novel". One of its characters--and a remarkable one--espoused as fine and powerful a description of true romantic love as exists in literature, I felt. The sad thing was, in reading it, I knew this was a dated novel. That notion of romantic love was in that "fine and private place/where none I fear do embrace", as far as I could tell.

This novel is about love. In a sense, it makes a lovely headstone for the notion of romantic love.

5 out of 5 stars A masterpiece of writing and translation.......2007-05-11

Just a note to add my enthusiastic review of this masterpiece to the others on view, and to point out the richness of George Szirtes' masterly translation. I can think of few books one can read, even in their original language, with this novel's extraordinary evocative power. In reading Casanova, as with Szirtes' other Marai translation, the earlier, lesser and far more youthful novel, The Rebels, I find myself reading half a page, then drifting off into a reverie the text has evoked, returning only when a timeless time has passed: it is as if Marai's extraordinary, passionate density of detail, and the interiority with which he invests it, play a Proustian trick on the reader--the text remains short and highly concentrated, while the reader performs his own feats of extensive Proustification. Bravissimo!

The translation of the excellent Embers, done from the German translation, cannot perform this trick, alas.

5 out of 5 stars Emotional journey.......2007-02-06

It was only natural that after reading Sandor Marai's "Embers" I had to read his work "Casanova in Bolzano". This is most touching and emotionally charged work I have read in a long time. The language, storytelling and dialog are compelling. The notion that all things we long for are out of reach is so true that is adds to the beauty of this work. It is a story of love, longing, desire and letting go. This book will keep readers thinking for a long time after reading is finished.

4 out of 5 stars "There is nothing quite as dangerous as a man who will not yield to despotism.".......2006-01-15

In a brief sojourn in Bolzano, Venice, on his way to Munich in 1756, Giacomo Casanova, stops to rest at a local inn. Newly escaped from Leads Prison with Balbi, a defrocked priest, Casanova employs his considerable powers of persuasion to elicit lodging and all manner of material goods to make his stay more palatable. Ensconced in his rooms, word spreads that this master of the secrets of love is entertaining paying guests, offering advice and observations to help others unravel the thorny knots of their relationships and romantic liaisons. For a few coins, Casanova dispenses his invaluable wisdom, waiting for his fate to play out.

Also residing in Balzano at the time are the Duke of Parma and his wife, Francesca. Casanova and Parma have dueled over this woman in the past, Casanova vanquished, never to see his love again. Suddenly, the duke arrives with an unexpected proposition for the banished lover; Casanova is faced with a conundrum that requires him to examine the complicated tentacles of his attachment to Francesca and the nature of love as he perceives it. In flowing prose that evokes both time and place, Casanova embarks upon a personal narrative, musing on every aspect of his emotional attachment to Francesca and a dialog with both the Duke of Parma and the very wise object of his affections, who knows her lover better than he knows himself.

The Inquisition looms large in Casanova's past and possibly his future, should he tarry too long in Bolzano, the duke's reach extensive and pervasive. The reputed lover's flight from Leads is a boon to the gossiping citizens, who follow his progress with enthusiasm and attend his surgeries seeking advice. But even the Inquisition pales beneath the force of Francesca's declaration of love and the clarity of her intent. Francesca's soliloquy makes a mockery of Casanova's obfuscations in denial of truth, an expose more deadly than the sharp point of his dagger. Brought together through the duke's machinations, the lovers engage in a truly memorable encounter. This remarkable feast of wit and the vagaries of love is a fine exercise in the illogic of reason when applied to romance, obsession and the indulgence of grand passion. Luan Gaines/ 2006.

It has a very attractive cover. Got the book about a week ago. I have 165 books to read before I get to this one, but since I'm moving to Mexico in a few months, I thought I'd better put it in my library now. Write me in a couple of years and I'll be happy to tell you what I think of it.

Sándor Márai Read by Simon Prebble UNABRIDGED; 8 1/4 HOURS ON 6 AUDIO CASSETTES Another rediscovered masterpiece from the author of Embers, one of the most widely acclaimed books of 2001. At midnight on October 31, 1756, Giacomo Casanovayes, that Casanovafrom a Venetian prison with help from a defrocked friar named Balbi. But instead of continuing to Munich, as his memoirs record, he stopped at an inn called The Stag in the Italian village of Bolzano. There he rested, secured a loan from a friend, and resumed his old life of seduction and debachery. Or so Sándor Márai's account goes. Written within the framework of historical reality, this riveting novel chronicles a scoundrel's downfall. Events past and present intertwine: the memory of a duel over a beautiful girl, a Duke who once spared Casanova's life, an intercepted love letter, an offer the notorious lover can't refuse. Richly realized, fully of psychological tension, dazzling in its period detail, this novel joins Embers in re-establishing Márai as one of the world's greatest literary voices.

              1 out of 5 stars So religious I couldn't use it.......2006-01-07

I bought this book for a team-building at work, and was very disappointed because 95% of the suggestions were based on religion. The other 5% was not even worthy of suggesting to the group because it wasn't creative as I would have liked it to be, for adults.

3 out of 5 stars Lots of great ideas but too church-oriented........2005-09-16

It has many icebreaking activities but was simply too church-oriented for me to use it at all since I deal with school and secular groups primarily. It would be a lot of work to remove all the religious references. And many of the activities seem to be repeats from many other books I've read. Not as innovative as it ought to be. Since people attend lots of meetings, you've got to have new activities in order to keep them from being bored.

Still, if it had been titled with "for Church Group leaders" it'd be a great resource.

4 out of 5 stars Great for new groups.......2001-03-08

Imagine being forced into a new setting with a group of people you don't know. You're nervous about what people will think of you. Will you do or say something stupid?

This book really helps banish these fears, because, in effect, everyone is required to act silly for a few moments. For example, show the group your hidden talent (in our group, people seemed to be very double-jointed)! What does your name mean and why were you named it? There are some interesting stories out there. Shy people are also required to participate...thus getting them to speak -- which they may not do otherwise.

The more we do ice-breakers, the looser we become. It helps for starting out Bible studies, when people might be worried their thoughts will come across as "stupid." These activities help you realize it's OK to be silly, and to loosen up.

I only gave the book four stars because it's very vague on copyright. Some of the ice-breakers are "visual" -- they require that everyone "see" a specific page in the book (some activities use graphics). Is it OK to photocopy these pages so our group can use them? I looked all over for information/permissions regarding this, but couldn't find any. Another reason it only gets four stars... my mom lost the book soon after we got it, so I didn't get to try too many of the ice-breakers out on my group. So, we're getting the sequel ASAP.

3 out of 5 stars Small groups made intimate.......2000-03-01

This is a great book if you have a small group, say 5 or 6, and are doing this for a church function. It had great ideas, but I could not use it because my group was larger, and not all christians. I needed something a little more general.

You know you're in smart hands in this latest thriller by Robert Ferrigno because his character, ex-undercover cop Val Duran, appears on the television quiz show Jeopardy. His reasoning? To catch the attention of a dangerous adversary named Junior.
Val smiled, imagining Junior's expression when he saw the show. Junior taped every episode of Jeopardy. Half the dope dealers in south Florida were glued to the tube every afternoon, making bets, yelling at the contestants. Junior once shot out a forty-seven inch Mitsubishi over a missed answer.
Junior also killed Val's former partner and threatened his only living relative, his grandmother, Grace. Val takes the old woman with him from Miami, and they hide out in Southern California. Here, he plots some serious revenge on the Floridian villain. Complicating matters are a beautiful, troubled marine biologist named Kyle Abbott and her seriously dysfunctional wealthy family. There's also a pair of killer extortionists after the Abbott family's fortune--a gorgeous sociopath named Jackie and a monolithic Gulf War Syndrome victim named Dekker. They all start out as very nasty genre stereotypes, but end up, thanks to Ferrigno's marvelously deft touch, as understandable and even likable human beings. There are even a couple of fresh insights into the overused landscape of Los Angeles: "Even before dawn the freeways buzzed with ambition. It made him homesick for the sultry indolence of Miami, cruising down the A1A, windows rolled down so he could smell the oleander blooming along the median."

Other Ferrigno titles include Dead Man's Dance and Dead Silent. --Dick Adler

              Book Description

It opens with a killing on a south Florida beach. Val Duran, an undercover cop, is forced to witness the murder of his partner, which has been arranged by a drug kingpin called Junior. In retaliation, Val kills two of Junior's men, but the score is far from settled.

Val quits Florida fast and doesn't stop until he reaches Hollywood. He ends up doing stunt work in B movies, but his real life turns out to be much more hazardous. He's fallen hard for Kyle Abbott, a marine biologist with an attitude, a pedigree, and a take on nature ("survival is all about speed and cunning, camouflage and adaptability") that would have forewarned Val had she not completely disarmed his habitual protective paranoia. Which means that he doesn't see Junior coming until it's almost too late.

The cast of edgy eccentrics, a breakneck pace and caustic humor, a seamless combination of the macabre and the eccentric, the raucous and the romantic--all these elements combine to make Heartbreaker the fiercest, most audacious novel we have had from Robert Ferrigno in years.

              Reader Bio:

Robert Ferrigno is the author of four previous novels, including The Horse Latitudes. He lives with his family in the Pacific Northwest.

              Customer Reviews:

              4 out of 5 stars Fast-paced and pithy.......2005-08-06

Robert delivers another vividly imagined and fast-paced page-turner. Some of the prose is a bit overheated, but slides by so smoothly we can easily forgive him. I do feel that, one day, he'll embrace more James Lee Burke and less punked-out James Ellroy and really give us a treat.
Ken Coffman is the author of Twisted Shadow and other novels.

5 out of 5 stars Snap, crackle, pop.......2004-07-18

In this comic thriller, the characters and settings snap, crackle, pop off the page.

Ferrigno keeps each of the characters distinct and interesting, whether he's in the head of protagonist, witty tough guy Val Duran, or whether he's exploring the people in Duran's life, like Junior, who has almost as much affection for Duran as he does his favorite program, Jeopardy!, but nevertheless wants Duran dead. Then there's "dead boy" Armando, the unlikely and eccentric muscle; the hulking, love-sick Dekker; Jackie, the lethal seductress who enchants both Dekker and pretty boy Kilo; Duran's shrewd Seminole grandmother, Grace; and Kyle, the sexy marine biologist for whom Duran falls hard.

The scenery is equally compelling, whether the action takes place in a Miami penthouse, a dangerous coastal cove in Southern California, or a backyard miniature golf course that pays tribute to cheesy horror films.

But despite the snappy settings and dialogue, there is also real suspense, primarily because the characters consistently seem motivated by their own inner demons and not by the needs of the plot. There are some unexpected "wow" moments, like when the two storylines converge, or when certain characters meet for the first time, where the readers is left surprised, muttering, "Oh, that's it." And even the pay-offs for events that seem pre-destined from page 1 are layered with an unexpected poignancy.

Okay, so by now you know I love the book. My husband, who's much harder to please and has really liked only two or three of the books he's read in as many years, also claims this as a favorite. Ferrigno does something that is a challenge: he presents a flawlessly written and plotted masterpiece and makes it all look like entertaining, escapist fun.

1 out of 5 stars You've got to be kidding.......2004-05-11

Clearly Ferrigno's friends are writing some of these reviews. This book is really, really bad. Thin plot, with people doing dumb things just to move it along. And way too chatty: dialogue for the sake of dialogue. Blah blah blah. And please, don't compare Ferrigno to much better writers such as Hall, Hiassen, and Leonard. He's not even in their league.

3 out of 5 stars Is it only me ?.......2003-10-21

I have just finished reading this which is my first Robert Ferrigno book. I ain't gonna repeat the story here because that is up there in the Editorial Review.

Now, my two cents - Is Val Duran a returning hero ? I don't think so. Then why his past is mostly a gray area ? There is not enough information in there as to why exactly Steffano got killed, Val's past..and the most important of 'em all - how Val got onto the real person behind the whole scheme ?? I mean, what the heck ? Nothing is explained in this book!!! And since even beyond a certain point of extreme cerebration I drew a blank, I gave up !!

Some characters are pretty contrived like Jackie Hendricks and Junior, the plot is pencil thin..there are a lot of illogical things happening - why would Val wanna go on air when he is hiding out ? And why didn't Val turn the real culprit in when he is convinced that the person has committed a heinous crime ? beats me !!

The highlight of the book I must admit, is the razor-sharp dialogue that flies back and forth..especially that of Dekker and Val. Kept me through the book anyways. Worth a read. I deem this book worthy of 2.5 stars (since there is no decimal datatype here, I round it off to the next whole number).

              3 out of 5 stars 3 1/2* Another Credibility Gap.......2003-04-24

Robert Ferrigno just keeps getting better. Unfortunately, this means that while "Heartbreaker" is far better than his 1990 debut novel, it is far worse than 2001's ýFlinch.ý Ferrigno once again depicts the low-lifes of Orange County, California, and features the usual noirish cast: a protagonist with his own "moral code," a femme fatale, a rich stepmother, a spoiled ýpretty boyý playboy, and a hired thug.

ýHeartbreakerý is a more deeply layered story than previous efforts, and he cleverly melds two main subplots centered in drug-obsessed Florida and in glitzy/seamy Orange County. For the most part, the writing is brisk and humorous, and Ferrigno does breezy dialogue and tense situations very well. (Thereýs also the usual graphic violence that may turn some readers off.)

However, the storyýs implausible twists and betrayals made this a disappointing read. Why would someone trying to ýlay lowý appear on a drug-dealing killerýs favorite TV show and taunt him, thus making it easy to track him? Thereýs an unappealing victim who is portrayed as an admirable person, and an appealing person who abruptly changes towards the very end of the story. While these catch you by surprise, they seem contrived, especially in the latter example. ýFlinchý is a much better book, although populated with similar characters and action, you donýt feel so manipulated.

              A CONVENIENT BRIDE

Burdened by Family debts, Heather Ashford has no choice but to exchange her dreams of romance and accept the proposal of ruggedly handsome cattle baron Sloan McCord. However the widowed rancher is more than she bargains for. Tormented by a deep sorrow, Sloan keeps his heart well guarded, even as he sets her body on fire night after night. But each time Heather gazes into his ice blue eyes, she realizes she wants more from this man than his passion--she wants his love.

AN IRRESISTIBLE GROOM But Sloan McCord has vowed never to love again. Although his infant daughter needs a mother, he doesn't want--or need--a wife. He is surprised that Heather, an elegant citybred lady, turns his remote Colorado ranch house into a home, and tenderly cares for his child. She is beginning to haunt his thoughts by day and steal his breath by night--and this he cannot have if he is to keep a safe distance. Does his fierce bride of convenience have the strength to heal his broken heart--before he breaks hers?

2 out of 5 stars More like HeartLESS .......2007-06-01

The title Heart Breaker doesn't apply. Who's supposed to be the heartbreaker? I was expecting the hero to be some sort of rake, a love-em-and-leave-em type. Oh, was it supposed to be Sloan? How can that be, when he has a heart made of stone? He was so cold and cruel towards Heather. And she was no better herself, accepting that sort of treatment from him. Even the local ladies didn't stand a chance against that icicle of an heart. Exactly WHAT did these women see in him anyway?

I usually enjoy Nicole Jordan's books. One of the better ones are Prince of Pleasure, Wicked Fantasy, and yes, even the most recent one, Fever Dreams. At least the heroes had FEELINGS. And they weren't hypocrites like Sloan was, using another woman as a sex object even as he was supposedly still honoring his deceased wife.

I would highly recommend Petals on the River by Kathleen Woodiwiss, which has the same plot (widower in need of a wife), but with much warmer characters.

4 out of 5 stars Sloan and Heather-SPOILERS.......2006-04-27

              Favorite scene with Heather-
This was a short scene, but the scene where Heather has a little chat with Sloan's political opponent. It really showed Heather's backbone.

              Favorite scene with Sloan-
Drunk at the saloon. Della has to help him realize he loves Heather.

              Together-
A drunken Sloan insulting Heather by offering to pay for sex after telling her she still owes him. A powerful, heartwrenching scene.

What did you like about Heather-
Her love for Janna. Her strength and courage.

What didn't you like about Heather-
I felt that Heather flip-flopped. She told Sloan not to touch her ever again, and then allowed him to have sex with her. That made her weak. She left Sloan and Janna, eventhough Sloan treated her cruelly.

What did you like about Sloan-
His love for Janna. His political views. People liked him naturally. He didn't have to force them to like him and vote for him.

What didn't you like about Sloan-
I understand that Sloan was grieving, but he had no right to treat Heather the way he did.

If I had to cast Sloan, I'd cast Kiefer Sutherland.
If I had to cast Heather, I'd cast Charlize Theron.

1 out of 5 stars No more Nicole Jordan for me!.......2006-03-18

This is the second book I tried by Nicole Jordan, after "The Passion", which was just an okay read, but was spoiled by the heroine's constantly blowing hot and cold towards the hero.

I never even got past the first chapter of this novel. First off, the author opens with a torrid sex scene. Is this really necessary? A good author should be able to capture your attention right away without using porn to do it. I'm not a prude, but this felt really over the top.

Then, the author has the hero wake from his sex dream (that's right, the sex scene was a dream) and is so aroused that he ends up masterbating to find relief. Ewwww! Why do romance authors seem to think that readers will find this sexy? It's gross!

But then the author completely torpedoed this book for me--she had the hero justify playing with himself by using that awful phrase 'men have needs'. As if a man having sexual desires gives him licence to act no better than a rutting pig. A hero is a man who is not ruled by his sex organs.

ARRRRGH! I've often threatened that the next time I had to be subjected to the horrible 'men have needs' phrase, that I would scream. Well, this time I actually did. And threw the book across the room. Don't bother with this book.

I will no longer waste my time or money on this author.

5 out of 5 stars Intense and passionate writing.......2001-09-03

A wonderful example of what a romance novel can be in the hands of a truly gifted writer. I really appreciate authors who can build up emotions and conflicts that ring true. Nicole Jordan does this so well that you are completely engrossed in the story she's telling as opposed to just flipping through the pages. She also has a gift for writing sensual scenes that are truly top-notch, which is an added bonus for a writer who can do all the other important things so well. Great novel.

              5 out of 5 stars SLOAN AND HEATHER,WHAT A ROMANCE!!!!!!!!!.......2001-07-07

This is the first Nicole Jordan book I have ever read, and I am in the process of puchasing every book I can get my hands on by her. The story is very sensual and gripping and very sad at times. However, we know that in most romance books love prevails and guess what??? I won't give away the story... This romance is not what I would call "deep" but what the heck, I don't know alot of romance novels that are, isn't that why we read them??? Enjoy!

Now that Valentine's Day is just around the corner, Luna is feeling the blues. She's been longing to be with her boyfriend, David, who lives all the way across the country in Florida and who she hasn't seen in months. Sure, she and David e-mail, but that's not enough. She wants to see him.

Despite her loneliness, Luna gets a reprieve when a tall, blond dreamboat washes up on her shore. His name is Sean, and like Luna he's a natural-born board rider from a family of die-hard surfers. Their chemistry is undeniable, and Luna can't remember when she's had so much fun with a guy. But when David shows up as a Valentine's Day surprise, Luna finds herself caught in the middle of a love triangle! Soon David and Sean engage in an all-out tug-of-war with her heartstrings -- leaving Luna to wonder whose heart will get broken in the end.

It's all about a passion for the sport ... and life.

Sidney Blakely is a well-known globetrotting photographer. Having been raised by her ex-Marine father, she scorns anything that might hint of weakness or traditional feminine roles. On a photo shoot in Hawaii, while trying to recover from the disastrous ending of her one and only romantic relationship, Sid meets Danya Stepanov, whose huge, warm, traditional family is the antithesis of just about everything she is familiar with.

So far, so good. Sid and Danya are almost immediately attracted to each other, but while Danya decides they were meant for each other (and proceeds to inform his family that that's the case), Sid is considerably more wary. In spite of herself, though, she is slowly drawn toward Danya and his family's welcoming warmth.

And here, unfortunately, is where it gets weird. When Sidney, confused and insecure, finally does up and leave, Danya, who had up to this point been determined to aim for nothing less than marriage and a lifetime with her, suddenly changes his tune and starts talking about "taking what he can get."

But it gets stranger still. When Sidney's father and sisters show up in town to check on her, Danya persuades all three to temporarily move in with the Stepanov family and experience the joys of the settled life. This works for long enough to get Sidney's attention, but despite the interest of a couple of spare Stepanov cousins, her sisters are soon gone again. Her father sticks around, but the whole episode is strange.

Then Danya undergoes yet another personality shift, and suddenly decides he's had it with Sidney; he spends most of the last part of the book being terribly angry and hurt, despite the fact that their bizarre situation (with her flitting in and out) is a good deal of his making.

Then somehow they solve everything, in one of romance fiction's wimpiest endings, of the sort that my freshman composition teacher in college thoroughly despised.

Final word: what started off as a great story ran out of steam in the middle and ended with a whimper.

5 out of 5 stars The last Stepanov man..........2005-03-06

We return to Amoteh, a town in southwest Washington State. Danya is the last single Stepanov man. They are a family famous for the furniture they build with pride, as well as, for the luxurious Amoteh Resort.

Danya's wife died nine years ago. He is now thirty-two years old. He has a business with one of his brothers as a builder and remodeler. Danya has not found a woman he could love since his wife died, but hoped to some day. Then he spies a lady unlike any other. She is at the grave site of Chief Kamakani, stripping off her clothes as she talks to deceased.

Sidney "Sid" Blakely is a professional photographer (freelance) who has recently been jilted by a long time boyfriend. Sid and her sisters (Stretch and Junior) have been raised by their military father (Bulldog). The Blakely women detest anything overly feminine, such as dresses, cosmetics, anyone holding a door open for them, etc. Sid usually takes photos of things that put her in danger, such as an erupting volcano. However, to avoid her ex-boyfriend, she is at the Amoteh Resort with a group of ladies. Sid has been commissioned to photograph great shots of the ladies to be made into a calendar. (SO not her normal type of job!) To escape the models who are trying to give her a make over, Sid decides to camp out near Chief Kamakani's grave site.

When Sid thinks Danya is about to suicide by jumping off a cliff, she begins talking him out of it. Danya begins using the misunderstanding as an excuse to spend time with her. The Stepanov men know quickly upon meeting a woman whether she is perfect for him or not. Danya is no exception. But Sid is not like other women. Thus Danya's courting must be done without Sid realizing what is happening.

***** A wonderful conclusion for the Stepanov family story. I found it very interesting to watch Sid do so many masculine things while Danya attempt to out maneuver her (and her macho family). I find myself regretting that this is the last of the "Heartbreaker miniseries". I can only hope that Cait London will begin a new romance series some day soon. *****

4 out of 5 stars fun contemporary romance.......2005-03-05

In Amoteh, Washington, brooding Danya Stepanov, whose family owns and runs the nearby resort, walks along the cliffs still mourning the loss of his wife Jeannie to a DUI nine years ago. While wandering around he notices a woman by the gravesite of Kamakani asking the chief why her partner, friend, and sometime lover Ben dumped her to marry a bimbo. When she notices Danya, she fears he is suicidal and plans to leap. She informs him her name is Sidney Blakely, a photographer doing the models shoot and she will be his buddy. Danya is shocked because he is attracted to this spirited female, but fails to inform her that he is not a jumper.

Danya persuades Sidney to move into his cottage so that she can escape the horde of females that she is working with and of course she agrees to stay in his home as platonic friends. As his family wonders what is going on, he tells them that she is the one. Meanwhile she continues to moan the loss of Ben, but admits only to herself that Danya is a caring hunk and would she not mind a lifetime or two with him except that she has a wanderlust soul.

TOTAL PACKAGE, the fourth Heartbreaker tale, is a fun contemporary romance starring two likeable protagonists and a horde of support players (mostly his family, but to a lesser degree the models too). The story line's tension comes from Danya knowing he must be patient with his beloved who needs to recover from what she perceives as her love and he feels was her convenience. Fans of warm contemporary drama will enjoy this fine romance.
