Book Description
Just as Moses and the Israelites found themselves caught between "the devil and the deep Red Sea," so are we sometimes overwhelmed by life's problems. But God delivered the Israelites, and He will deliver us too.
The Red Sea Rules reveals, even in the midst of seemingly impossible situations, God's promise to make a way for us. His loving guidance will protect us through danger, illness, marital strife, financial problems--whatever challenges Satan places in our path.
Using the Israelites' story as an example, Robert Morgan offers ten sound strategies for moving from fear to faith. Among them: Realize that God means for you to be where you are. Acknowledge your enemy, but keep your eyes on the Lord. Pray.
Life is hard, especially for Christians. It is certain that we will face difficulties, and that God will allow them, as He allowed the Israelites to become trapped between Pharaoh's rushing armies and the uncrossable Red Sea. But just as certain is the fact that the same God who led us in will lead us out. As The Red Sea Rules makes comforingly clear, He is in control.

He Will NEVER Leave You Nor Forsake You.......2003-07-19
I [the Lord] will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:19
Pastor Robert J. Morgan of Nashville, Tennessee, author of 'On This Day' and 'Tiny Talks with God' uses the story of Moses and the Israelites, as an example to explain the ten (10) God-given strategies for difficult times. Remember when Moses and the Israelites were caught between "the devil (Pharoah) and the deep Red Sea?" God delivered them from the adversary and parted the Red Sea for thier escape. The same way we're overwhelmed by life's problems. God will deliver us, too. 'The Red Sea Rules' reveals even in the worst situation God will make a way. His promise and loving guidance will protect us through all the troubles, challenges and obstacles Satan puts in our way.
These ten (10) strategies will move you from fear to faith:
Rule 1. Realize that God means for you to be where you are.
Rule 2. Be more concerned for God's glory than for your relief.
Rule 3. Acknowledge your enemy, but keep your eyes on the Lord.
Rule 4. Pray.
Rule 5. Stay calm and confident, and give God time to work.
Rule 6. When unsure, just take the next logical step by faith.
Rule 7. Envision God's enveloping presence.
Rule 8. Trust God to deliver in His own unique way.
Rule 9. View your current crisis as a faith builder for the future.
Rule 10. Don't forget to praise Him.
No matter where you are in life's storm-east or west, up, down and under. God will make a way. No sea is deeper than the ocean of His Love. No army, force or enemy can overcome His throne of grace and His work in our lives. Just like the reality of the Red Sea, God will always make a way for His trusting children, even if He must split the sea to do it. Sometime time ago, a friend told me of this book of how much of an impact it made in their life. It was the only book that they would refer to in time of encouragement and hope. If you're going through a difficult time in your life I recommend this. It's my companion I can look to. A reminder that there is a God who loves and cares to make a future plan for all of us. Just trust Him.
Book Description
The Same Sea is Amos Oz's most adventurous and inventive novel, the book by which he would like to be remembered. The cast of characters ranges from a prodigal son to a widowed father who has taken in his son's enticing young girlfriend, who in turn sleeps with her boyfriend's close friend. The author himself receives phone calls from his characters, criticizing the way he portrays them in his novel. In this human profusion there is chaos and order, love and eroticism, loyalty and betrayal, and ultimately an extraordinary energy.
"I wrote this book with everything I have. Language, music, structure--everything that I have. . . . This is the closest book I've written. Close to me, close to what I always wanted. . . . I went as far as I could."--Amos Oz

Amusing, appealing, with just a hint of an underlying deeper significance. This book will entertain anyone who can enjoy an 'out of the ordinary' reading experience.
Thr unwizard of Oz........2005-07-16
In this book, Mr.Oz goes to war against all rules -- and the rules win.
He breaks the narrative up into short passages, each with a cryptic headline, and jumps from point of view to point of view, sometimes within the same sentence. All of a sudden he pops into the narrative (as the 'fictional narrator'} to explain that it's poetry I have been reading and that he understands how wierd it is to set a story in the town of Bat Yam.
From then on the reader meets Mr Oz every now and then, sometimes in the guise of the 'fictional narrator'sometimes in the flesh in his in his home in Arad. Why? I couldn't figure it out. Was he also getting bored with the story's characters?
The upshot of this all, at least for this reader, is a complete lack of tension, and a complete lack of interest in the characters and their fate.
There must be something in those rules.
A disappointment.......2003-11-18
I am usually not mean-spirited to books I read. I always try to find something of value, but it is sometimes simply impossible. This is the case with "The Same Sea". I found it lacking in character development and plot, which leaves us only with language as the possible source of aesthetic achievement. I admit some of the poetic passages were beautiful in a subtle way, but that wasn't enough to win my attention. If Mr. Oz wanted to write a poem, he should have done so explicitly, without disguising it as a novel. The "plot" is simple yet unappealing: an old Israeli man loses his wife to death; his son becomes depressed and travels to Tibet, Bangladesh and other lands to meditate and overcome his grief. His girlfriend is cheated by a film producer, loses her money and moves in with Albert, his boyfriend's father. Then she sleeps with her botfriend's best friend. That's it.
I didn't find any of the characters interesting, whether good or bad. They just ruminate about their problems, but there's not really a plot or some interaction that becomes appealing, at least for this reader. I'm not a prude at all, but a story that centers on the sexual lust of an old widow for his son's girlfriend is not terribly interesting (maybe Nabokov could have made it so). She's kind of cruel walking around the house with a towel for all clothes, as well as giving him glimpses of young flesh. Naughty girl and dirty old man. The son's reflections on his travels weren't much illuminating either. He made me remember the main character in Somerset Maugham's "The Razor's Edge", but without the vitality and passion for knowledge that characterized him. All in all, a disappointment of a book.
a great writer a wonderful book.......2003-03-13
This is Amos Oz at his best. In the "Same Sea" Oz continues to grow and explore the boundries of literature and of the human condition.
His ability to synthesize prose and poetry is superb. He is among the greatest contemporay authors. He defines the relationships between the characters to each other to themselves and to the universe with grace. Beyond that he introduces himself as both chronicler and character without hubris and with grace. This is a literary feat. Many have failed at it. The best book I've read this year.
The fruit always falls near the tree and re-nourish him.......2002-08-22
When we get tired of fight each other, we start trying to understand mutually and unexorablly search for peace. Life is a chain of simple-day-after-day actions, but finally we come to love, as Leonard Cohen said once "as refugees". It is useless to speak of many oceans or seas, cause in the end we all share the same sea. As Carl Sagan once said "we'll all will end sharing the same destiny, good or bad". This book comes to simple things of life, with simple but powerful truths. Amos Oz has a global and positive perspective and remember us that we have more in common, that what we belive. A great piece of stylistic literature, refreshing and motivational. "Life is very short and there is no time for fighting and fussing" (Lennon/Macartney): we share the same sea and if the sea level grows, we all will end paying the price.

Ten God given strategies for difficult times.
Book Description
Poetic and erotic, El mismo mar de todos los veranos (The Same Sea As Every Summer) was originally published in Spain in 1978, three years after the death of Franco and in the same year that government censorship was abolished. But even in a new era that fostered more liberal attitudes toward divorce, homosexuality, and women's rights, this novel by Esther Tusquets was controversial. Its feminine view of sexuality—in particular, its depiction of a lesbian relationship—was unprecedented in Spanish fiction. Now its complex moods and rhythms have been caught in an English translation by Margaret E. W. Jones that has won the Kayden National Translation Award.
The disillusioned narrator of The Same Sea As Every Summer is a middle-aged woman whose unhappy life prompts a journey into she past to rediscover a more authentic self. However, events force her to realize that love or trust will inevitably be repaid by betrayal. This pattern assumes various forms in a story that moves forward as well as backward, playing out in Barcelona among the haute bourgeoisie. Richly textured with allusion, The Same Sea As Every Summer is also a commentary on post-Civil War Spanish society by an author who grew up during the repressive Franco regime. Esther Tusquets’s other novels include El amor es un juego solitano (1979) and Para no volver (1985).
Customer Reviews:
One of the best novels of XXth century Spanish literature!.......2002-03-16
This is the best novel that I have read from XXth century Spanish literature. Through a deep emotional and profound language, Esther Tusquets introduces us into the world of this female narrator whose name is not spelled out in the entire novel. At the same time, El mismo mar de todos los veranos explores female subjectivity in an unprecedented way, and it is the first Spanish novel ever to portray lesbianism in its literature. Through this creative language full of metaphors, imagery, symbolism, and stories, the narrator introduces us into her world and into her mind, in fact, throughout the whole novel, it is the mind and experience of this anonymous narrator that the reader explores. El mismo mar de todos los veranos at the same time presents a critical portrayal of marriage, family, and heterosexuality, showing that women's experience is very limited; the narrator has always felt unsatisfied and a deep sense of failure when it comes to the traditional roles that are assigned to women (wife, lover, daughter, mother), leaving her with nothing else but language, words, metaphors, imagery and a deep desire to tell past stories. It is this intimate language that shows how female experience and homosexuality (in this particular case lesbianism) can only exist in isolation, and it is precisely in this state of isolation that past and present will coexist. What personally passionates me about this novel is that it portrays our precarious and insignificant existence as human beings; when we have lost the love of our lives, when all our dreams and expectations have never come true, or when they at least are not what we would have expected them to be or what we believed they should have been, when all the tenderness and love have gone away, we are only left with a deep sensation of sadness and emptiness, and the only things that we have left are language, words, metaphors, symbolism, and the desire to relive and retell a painful past.
An excellent masterpiece to be read by every contemporary reader.
Book Description
Who, in fact, were the ancient Essenes? What secret doctrines did they uphold? Why did they keep their practices hidden? How do these writings relate to Jesus and His teachings?
This vital book explores the pre-Christian origins of New Testament writings and the little-known mysteries of the ancient Hebrew sect called the Essenes. It explains their SEVEN DEVOUT PRACTICES.
New evidence is presented concerning the conviction and crucifixion of Jesus, revealing the falseness of traditional accusations against the Jews.
The author shows you why and how "The Sect of the Scrolls", the Nazarenes, the Ebionites, and the Palestine Christians were one and the same people

Informative.......2006-02-28
This is the only book on the Essenes in which I have found so much information, written so clearly.
Rubbish.......2005-03-23
In recent years, a lot of rubbish has been written attempting to link Jesus to the Essenes. This book is a prime example of that rubbish. Efforts to link Jesus to the Essenes are almost entirely based upon speculation and wishful thinking. Not only do these books create unsubstantiated links between Jesus and the Essenes, they present a false, New Age caricature of the Essenes themselves. The Essenes were a strict, ascetic Jewish cult, steeped in the Old Testament and their own apocalyptic, sectarian writings. Few, if any, modern people could reasonably expect to identify sympathetically with their worldview.
But, yes, it's POSSIBLE that Jesus may have had contact with the Essenes, and may have drawn some of his followers from that group; he may even have lived with the Essenes for some time. But there is no firm evidence to support any of these claims. Legitimate authorities such as the Benedictine archaelogist Bargil Pixner have speculated that Jesus had contact with urban Essenes living in Jerusalem, and these Essenes may have provided him with the room for the Last Supper. Speculation is fine, even necessary, not to mention fun; but we must not confuse speculation with fact.
True Christianity.......2003-11-06
This book is an eye-opener for anyone who considers him or herself a Christian. It shows how the early Church sprang from the sect Jesus was raised in, the Essenes, who had prepared for generations for His coming. As St. Augustine wrote, "what is now called the Christian religion existed even among the ancients, and was not lacking from the beginning of the human race until Christ came."
As a Christian one has to feel a pang of conscience to read how this unique Essene community was morally and spiritually so far ahead of us, even before Christ's mission. Indeed, their way of life would be the perfect prescription for today. Its exemplary humanity, non-violence, sharing of wealth, love of freedom, respect for womankind, kindness to animals, and the modesty of their demands on ecology and society, puts modern thinking in an atavistic shade by comparison. Yet, these idealists were able to maintain a large community for centuries, while surrounded by a world of warfare and slavery.
The author's unorthodox findings are carefully buttressed by solid research from the Dead Sea Scrolls, classical authors like Pliny and Philo, and early Church writers. He also cites from chapters of the Bible with an Essene perspective, such as the books of Isaiah and of James, brother of Jesus.
As the "Jews of conscience" of their times - like Jeremiah, who had cried out against "the false pen of the scribes" - the Essenes condemned the inhumane parts of the Old Testament. They had kept the true law, passed down by a chain of "Teachers of Righteousness," culminating in the mission of Jesus.
The author shows how the first New Testament was an Essene text, which the temptations of power and ambition corrupted in the following generations. Inevitable, perhaps, once the decision had been made to create a mass movement. Blind faith replaced the Essene standard of practical knowledge and deeds.
The name Essene is a Greek spelling of Hasidim, the mystics of Judaism. (They were - or are? - also known as the Meek, the Poor, the Worthy, the People of the Way, Gnostics or Knowers, Nazarenes, the Sons of Peace, and by many other names.) "Peace be upon you" was their greeting.
The great practical value this book offers today is a touchstone to rediscover real Christianity, and help distinguish the truth or essence of every religion.

Reuben, Mickey, Bebe, and Daniel. Out of their savage passions, desperate deceptions, and unrequited love, a legacy was born. From the danger and intrigue of the French Resistance to the glitter and grandeur of Hollywood in the 1940s, here is a spellbinding saga that could only have been written by the bestselling author of the TEXAS novels.

A good read.......2000-05-01
I like saga's. I especially like them when the previous book left you thinking, and then what happened? Which Ms. Michaels did in her previous novel Sins of Omission. The plot thickens with each page turned and the characters grow richer and fuller. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading solely for pleasure.
One of the best historical romance novels you'll ever read!.......1997-02-01
Fern Michaels stands head and shoulders above any other romance writer. Her delicate descriptions of love and romance sizzle off the pages without vulgarity or obsenity. "Sins of the Flesh" was as enthralling as its predecessor "Sins of Omission" and was one of the few books that ended much too soon. I've spent years hoping for a third installment of this most captivating, refreshing, romantic, well-written saga

Sins of the Spirit, Blessings of the Flesh, by Matthew Fox, is a big, exuberant, difficult book. It's a new theology that re-evaluates fundamental Christian methods of perceiving spirit and flesh by denying any hard and fast distinction between the two. Even more radically, Fox denies that goodness and sinfulness can be cleanly distinguished. Following to its logical conclusion Thomas Aquinas's belief that sin is misdirected love, Fox describes parallels between the Seven Deadly Sins of Christianity and the seven chakras of Eastern traditions--how, for example, even the ugliest expressions of lust are, at their root, corrupt expressions of a God-given desire for union with another. In this regard, Fox quotes the German mystic Meister Eckhart: "Everything praises God. Darkness, privations, defects, and evil praise God and bless God." Sins of the Spirit is so complex and ambitious that its structure and language often become knotty and abstruse; however, Fox always returns to his central goal, "to ground our sense of sinfulness--and of awe--in the body." For this reason, Sins of the Spirit is a landmark of popular contemporary writing about Christian theology. It points the way to a time when we might learn to live out our confession that God's incarnation is the reason for our faith. --Michael Joseph Gross
Book Description
In
Sins of the Spirit, Blessings of the Flesh, visionary theologian and best-selling author Matthew Fox offers a new theology that fundamentally changes the traditional perception of good and evil and points the way to a more enlightened treatment of ourselves, one another, and all of nature. Through its marriage of spirit and flesh, Fox's Theology of Spirit sets forth a visionary but practical mysticism that lays out a blueprint for social transformation.
In this book, Matthew Fox dissects the roots of our culture's spiritual malaise and offers Creation Spirituality and a Theology of Spirit as the "medicine" for our society's deep spiritual "wounds." He shows how, contrary to mainstream church teachings, flesh is the grounding of spirit, and how spirit and flesh are entwined with each other in a felicitous and spiritually nourishing bond. He outlines a Theology of Spirit, an approach to the fusing of spirit and flesh which has been underdeveloped in Western thought. His cosmology stresses the need for diversity, the revelatory power of Nature, and the imperative of cooperation.
Fox draws together the wisdom of East and West on the subject of human destructiveness by taking Thomas Aquinas's definition of sin as "misdirected love" and ushering us through parallels between the Eastern teachings of the seven chakras and the Western teachings of the seven capital sins. In doing so, he responds to Martin Buber's call to "deprive evil of its power" not by "extirpating the evil urge, but by reuniting it to the good." Psychologist M. Scott Peck has said that humanity's naming of evil "is still in the primitive stage." With this book, Fox ushers us beyond rudimentary naming and places our capacity for evil in the fuller context of our touching the natural beauty of our physical world, the complex texture of our emotional lives, and the splendid depths of our spiritual center.
In
Sins of the Spirit, Blessings of the Flesh Matthew Fox has created his most ambitious and profound book. The text crackles with his intelligence and wit, deftly moving the reader into an examination of our world and our perceptions about it and ourselves, expanding our minds and showing us paths of thought that you would swear were not there before you turned the page.

Chakras of the body, an understanding.......2001-11-01
Another great book by Matthew Fox. I humbly suggest you get the musical CD called "7" by Chip Davis (Mannheim Steamrollers)and thoroughly enjoy a new perspective on the sources of energy within and without the body combining Matthew's insights and the music of Chip Davis. Extraordinary.
A blessing to read.......2001-05-08
As usual, Matthew Fox takes readers on a spiritual journey of awakening. Full of insight, this book was especially of interest to me beacause of the holistic, Earth-based message found within. I did not find this book especially difficult, although that may be because my field of study is in this area. Perhaps if one merely reads the words it can be. However, it is almost impossible not to connect on a spiritual level with the meaning intended. Sometimes a book must be felt as well as read and Fox seems to write with that intention.
His Best Yet..........1999-12-17
The depth of this book reflects the profundity of its author. Matt Fox has always been a genius at research, synthesis and cogent analysis. There are so many interesting, difficult to come by facts which are all presented in the context of understanding our place in the cosmos, our relationship with ourself, our Creator and each other. Thanks again Matt, for all the hard work in bringing this book to "light".
Book Description
In the tradition of Pauline Reages' The Story of O, this novel by Judith Devere recounts the tale of a young woman's willing submission to a life of sexual slavery and sado-masochism in the name of love; in this case, though, the love of a daughter for her father.
Customer Reviews:
"O Meets Emmanuelle on Fantasy Island".......2005-03-26
A flippant title for this review, I know, but it does summarise the plot in just a few words. But seriously, first of all, a warning; even by today's permissive standards, this book by Judith Devere is a shocker in the erotic literature/bdsm (bondage, domination, sado-masochism) genre. It is certainly not for the prudish and depicts numerous scenes of variant sexuality in graphic and explicit terms. It is, however, extremely well-written for a modern work of this kind, and after reading it I am convinced that the author herself is no stranger to the things about which she writes. The storyline, although not perhaps ground-breakingly orginal, nevertheless gets new and exotic treatment from Ms. Devere, and is highly entertaining in its own right. It follows the transition of young, successful actress, Katrina Mandell, from a life of relative innocence to one of (to her, at least) unimaginable decadence. Originally blackmailed into a life of debauchery, sexual slavery and sado-masochism, she incrementally begins to embrace her lot, eventually concluding against all odds that in it she has found her destiny. The various characters in the book, from enigmatic billionaire Armand Levequ to "Mistress of the Island", Madam Christina SIN, and her cohorts, the profligate former movie director, Vladimir Romanoff (Vlad the Impaler), and Chinese Dominatrix CHIANG Ming, are well-drawn and developed; as, indeed, is that of Katrina Mandell herself. I highly recommend this book to readers of erotic literature, and to those who may just be curious about the mysteriously dark world of bdsm. Overall, I would rate the book 9 out of 10 in this type of genre.

Seventeen Stories of Sex and Violence.......2003-08-22
A 300-pound sex goddess tricks her lover into committing murder for her. A porn king longs to make a respectable movie, but things go horribly wrong. An elderly man finds the best lover he ever had, but she exacts a terrible price.
All of the stories in Flesh and Blood involve people who are truly guilty as sin. The most shocking story involves a serial murderer who favors a particular part of the body when he shoots his victims.
None of the stories in this collection hesitate to take a careful look at the dark side of human nature. Whether describing a woman hiding under a bed while her lover seduces another woman or a couple who have become bored with their regular life and want to seek out more daring sexual adventures, the authors do not flinch from describing human nature at its most graphic.
Many of the best stories are set in the past, during that period of the 1940s when "noire" ruled and, in fact, the editors of this collection say they were influenced by James Cain and Raymond Chandler. The editors explain that they set out to "shock, titillate and thrill."
If you have romantic ideas about love, this is not the book for you. The characters in this book say "I love you," right before they plunge in the knife or pull on the trigger. Some of the stories are shocking and some are scary, but all of the seventeen stories in this collection are very well-written.
A Murder & Mayhem Bookclub review.......2003-04-21
Short, sharp, savvy and saucy - with a nod in the direction of the classic "noir" or "hardboiled" style this short story collection delivers your crime in very edible bites.
The decorated group of authors assembled here each contribute their modern interpretation to where it all began in crime; uncomplicated motive, meaningful encounters and your murders delivered by gun and blade. The editors give their thanks to the original masters of crime fiction: James M Cain, Raymond Chandler and Mickey Spillane etc in what is a highly enjoyable dish of "erotic tales of crime and passion". But with a liberal splash of humour and irony.
The people we encounter every day and think nothing of it: what does that bank teller, airline attendant, security guard have cooking on their mental back burners behind the facade of polite efficiency? Murder.
Reality checks in with the fedora hat and overcoat here; enjoy these 23 windows into the everyday world that includes bad men and nasty women with a grudge. Most of these stories would aptly be described as fantastical - how many gorgeous women can the average Joe bed in a day? - but they are fun rides into the seamier side of life.

This Latest Volume Will Titillate and Challenge the Reader.......2003-04-14
The pairing is so obvious that it's remarkable someone hadn't thought to create a compilation of stories combining graphic sex with noir detective settings long ago. Isn't that what detective fiction is ultimately all about, anyway? Detective stories all seem to involve the seven deadly sins sooner or later. There's greed, envy, lust, lust, lust, lust and lust. I think I covered 'em all. However, not much else remains covered in FLESH & BLOOD: GUILTY AS SIN, the latest in the FLESH & BLOOD anthologies of original stories edited by Max Allan Collins and Jeff Gelb.
Collins needs no introduction to readers of detective fiction or to anyone else, really, since his graphic novel, THE ROAD TO PERDITION, was adapted to film. And Gelb? Horror aficionados have prized his HOT BLOOD series, edited with writer and writing instructor extraordinaire Michael Garrett, for some time now. FLESH & BLOOD is a logical outgrowth of the HOT BLOOD series and succeeds as thoroughly. The reasons for the success of both series are the uncanny ability of the editors to mix each anthology with well-known writers and those who are soon to be well known and to get their best out of all of them.
This is far more than a collection of "dirty stories." The sexual content is graphic but always fits appropriately within the context of the tale. Collins's own "Lie Beside Me," co-written with Matthew V. Clemens, is an excellent example of this. The story begins with John Sand, a retired secret agent who is finding that domestic bliss is boring. Mrs. Sand decides to re-awaken their marriage by reminding Sand of certain aspects of his exciting past, just as the past suddenly --- and dangerously --- threatens to intrude. This is the story that Ian Fleming, alas, never got to write.
Then there is O'Neil De Noux's contribution, "The Iberville Mistress." De Noux is a frequent contributor to Gelb's anthologies. No one can write an erotic tale set in New Orleans, that most erotic of cities, like De Noux. This tale of a private eye who becomes an unwitting, though not necessarily unwilling, instrument of the termination of a marriage is worth the price of admission all by itself.
Loren Estelman contributes a fine and humorous offering entitled "A Hatful of Ralph" about a department store detective who finds out more than he should about the extracurricular activities of a couple of coupling employees, while Gelb's "Perfection" is perhaps the ultimate cautionary tale about getting what you wish for. Garrett is represented as well in "Sex Crimes," which is the perfect title for a little band of thrill killers who, uh, really get into their work.
There are a couple of surprises as well. Clemens and Gelb score a coup with "Walking to Paris," a story by the much missed and remembered Rex Miller, who comes out of an illness-imposed retirement to present this story about a stewardess with a penchant for the ultimate payback. And then there's "Bank Job" by Thomas Roche. I was heretofore unfamiliar with Roche's work, a deficiency in my literary education that I plan to remedy soon. "Bank Job," gloriously set in San Francisco, chronicles what befalls a policeman who finds himself kidnapped during a bank robbery and who is almost too distracted by what befalls him to figure out an escape. This story is perhaps the most bizarre in the entire collection and is certainly one of the best.
FLESH & BLOOD: GUILTY AS SIN continues the tradition established by its predecessors of combining sex, violence and mystery into a steamy literary mix that both titillates and challenges the reader. Hopefully, we can look forward to seeing new volumes of this collection for many years to come.

Sins of the Flesh.......2005-01-18
Having grown up in the bootheel of Southeast MO, I found the book particularly interesting. The area covered in the book is a rich area of (excuse the phrase) rural legend. A good read with good suspense and imagination.
Good, good stuff.......2003-12-31
Sikes is a terrific creation, a man-wolf on a mission. He's as good a character as the wulfies Harry Shannon's Night of the Werewolf, and that's saying something. This book is right up there with The Totem, Howling and Wolfen just not as well known.
Worth it! A CLASSIC!.......2003-12-03
If you're looking for an excellent Classic horror story that actually delivers real terror and suspense this is certainly the one . Better than Masterson, King, Koontz, Saul or Laymon and I say that without reservation. Easily ranks with the best and that is very rare. This is not splatterpunk THANK GOD!!!
Sins Of The Flesh.......2002-08-31
This book is a great read. I read it about 11 years ago and couldn't put it down. If you are into horror, then this is the book for you. Definitely a page turner and a must read.....enjoy.
My search is finally over!.......2002-04-16
I read this book about 8 years ago. It was the only book that has ever given me nightmares (and I mean bad ones). I borrowed it to someone and forgot who and it was never returned. I coundn't for the life of me remember the name of it only the picture on the front cover. I have spent 8 years searching and finally found it again. If you like truely scary stuff...don't let this one pass you by. You will remember it for a long time!
