Then Lord Brocktree and his army of shrews, hedgehogs, moles, hares, and beavers swept down and attacked on his own mountain's position. He needed to gain his mountain fortress back from the evil wild cat Ungatt Trunn, son of the malevolent Highland King Mortspear. Both armies new they were going to get a fight and that's exactly what happened. Brocktree's army clashed cutlasses with the blue rats of Ungatt trunn's army. The fight for Salmadastron has begun.
Lord Brocktree by Brian Jacques is 344 pages of pure excitement. The battles, journeys, and struggles the characters had to face are vividly detailed. So detailed you would have trouble putting it down. Every thing the characters do in this book makes it so interesting and so awesome. Read it!

For the thrill reading lovers out there, is a book that I think has passed all the expectations, and beyond! Lord Brocktree is this amazing book. It is a compelling story of friendship, loyalty, violence, utter excitement, and when you're done, you'll want more!
Lord Brocktree takes place at the mighty mountain of the badger lords, salamandastron, ruled by an old badger named Stonepaw Brock tree's father. The mountain is attacked by an evil tyrant, leader over an army as far as the eye can possibly see, plagues the mountain with an onslaught that would wipe them out. He is a wildcat named Ungatt Trunn, who has taken many lands on his conquest.
However, faraway in a land called Mossflower, a hare named Dotti, meets a traveler named Brocktree while fighting a band of shrews that attacked her. After Brocktree saved Dotti from them, they started to travel together. However, Brocktree started to have horrible nightmares of Ungatt Trunn. He also saw the mountain being torn apart by overwhelming armies; it was as if the mountain was covered blue with the hordes. Therefore, in mass of anxiety, Brocktree starts to gather an army to see if Salamadastron and his father can be saved. This installs a lot of pressure on him because he knows he must hurry.
I think this story always gives you suspense and it makes you want to read it constantly. I believe Lord Brocktree is a story to remember. Will Brocktree save the mountain in time?

The Mountian Salamandstron is under attack from Ugnatt Trunns evil Blue hords (rats,ferrets,etc.). This attack starts a war between Salamandstron and Ugnatt Trunn.When Lord Brocktree arrives with help(otters,mountian hares & hares that excaped) the war comes to a standoff.Brocktree sends a message to Trunn.It said he wanted to have a showdown the next day.To find out who wins read the best book ever Lord Brocktree!

I have read these books several times, and have them on CD for travelling. Nora Roberts is amazing, and every time I reread her stories, they take me away again. This particular story gets me involved over and over. The characters are so real, and so much fun!

The Key series is just great! I really enjoy how likable the characters are and how real they seem. I laughed out loud several times in each book and I was on the edge of my seat in each book. You can relate to all of the characters. Great story line, especially the fairy tale. The narrator was especially good. She did not try to change her voice to be every single character. She read the story the way it was supposed to be read; not monotonous or hyper-active, just how you would read it in your own head.

I had already read the books, but also enjoy books on CD. I have to drive in a lot of bumper to bumper traffic and this really relaxes me as I drive. I enjoyed her other stories on CDs like Midnight Bayou and the Three Fates. Because the CDs were adbridged and not the full version of the books I was set to be disappointed with things they might leave out. I wasn't, it was merged in such a way as not leaving the listener who might have already read the books miss the parts left out.

Hey guys,

I was really impressed with the last installment in the key trilogy. It didn't ramble off into nothing and there was no let down ending like some series that have been on offer. The book really tied all the 3 stories together and with Zoe's stubourness the ending could have gone either way! Definately a great series if you like romance with a twist!

I really enjoyed the entire key trilogy. I was visiting Arkansas for a week when I finished the second book and I did not have the third book, or a library I could go to and borrow one, and I absolutely had to read it. So i bought it, and read it in less then a day! I loved it!

Nora certainly saved the very best characters and storyline for the last in this trilogy. "Key of Valor" is the conclusion to the search for the three keys to unlock the Daughters of Glass souls from their wrongful curse due to the evil sorcerer, Kane. Zoe McCourt must find the courage in her life, past and present, to find the clues that lead her on the right path. Along the way, Bradley Vane becomes an issue (sometimes good and sometimes very scary) for her, however, he is a very important link to her quest. Brad comes from money as did Simon's father, James Marshall, and Marshall left her when she needed him most and broke her heart. There are too many similarities between the two men for her to trust again. She has a son (Simon) to protect and it is very hard for her to believe in another man, not only for herself, but for the sake of her son as well. This character is strong, independent and extremely likeable. I could feel her pain and her protectiveness of her child, considering her background and the hard life she had to endure to make a good life for both of them. It was Zoe's idea to come up with "Indulgence" - the house turned book store (Dana's); art gallery (Malory's) and beauty salon (Zoe's) all under one roof that the three women worked to build over the course of the storyline. Zoe must find the courage to deal with the evil and also her own life in order to accomplish the final task. Nora has outdone herself with this book. I would definitely read this again - maybe get the whole trilogy on CD - it is that good.

An excellent conclusion to a trilogy steeped in mythology, mysticism, and plenty of modern-day stressors. Nora Roberts is a master of her genre.

I have mixed feelings about the three books in this series. I liked the basic stories in Key of Light, Key of Knowledge, and Key of Valor but thought all three books moved so slowly that I almost didn't finish the final book. I think I would have enjoyed reading about Malory, Dana, and Zoe much better if all three books had been condensed and consolidated into one book with three sections. I hate feeling this way because I am basically a big Nora Roberts fan but with my apologies to Ms. Roberts, these books just did not appeal to me.
