Brother and his friends get angry at Sister cause she shows off every time she wins at something. They build a fort far away in the woods. She finds out about it, but they won't let her inside nor any of her girls.

Papa helps her build a girl only fort. Then a cook out is made and the boys from the boy fort come to eat.

In the end they play together without restrictions.

Further this book shows that being a sore winner is just as rotten as being a sore loser.

I have owned this book for almost twenty years now and i still read it all the time...and im almost 25. The story is thoughtful and funny at the same time, and who didnt want a club house with a drawbridge as a kid...good for children and growups alike...five stars

I was probably around seven when I read this book. It really sparked my imagination. Now, at 25, I still remember the clubhouse and the cook-out with the salmon and the honeycomb. I don't know what that means, but for it to be this memorable almost 20 years later has to mean something!

Bad Losers & Bad Winners too.......2004-01-12

Do the boy cubs not want Sister Bear around simply because she is a girl or is it that she is boastful about being better than the (older) cubs? Should Papa Bear force the boys to let Sister Bear in their club or is there a better way to handle this situation? These are just some of the issues covered in this good book.

"The Berenstain Bears No Girls Allowed" is not just about boys versus girls. It highlights that it is important to be a good winner and promotes resolving issues in a win-win manner (rather than ripping your adversary limb from limb).

My son enjoyed this book. After reading it he said he was going to start a club for his boy friends and his girl friends. His sign would say "No Bullies Allowed".

No Girls Allowed.......2003-10-06

No Girls Allowed was a good book. It was about sister bear always wanting to hangout with brother bear and she was always slowing them down but, soon she started beating the boys in all of their activities. She was a bad winner she would hoot and holler and do cartwheels. The boys got sick of it and decided to ditch her. They made a club and no girls were allowed, so she and papa bear and the other sister bears around decided to build their own fort and they did and decided to invite the boys in so the boys invited them to their club. The book would be for ages 2-7. It teaches kids that no matter if someone is annoying they have feelings too and you should conceder them.

Worth the Read.......2005-11-28

I was shocked to read the review on this book.. I don't think that reader gave it some serious thought. If you are not MAKING time for sex I am sure you are making time to do other things such as reading.

This book was helpful to give you some ideas about how to keep your love life fresh. It was good to remind you of how to keep the emotions and fire burning even without the physical contact we all USED to have time for before children. I think taking a couple of hours to read this book was well worth the cost and time spent.

I especially loved the tips on how to make sure your mate knows you still care. Who doesn't need to hear that sometimes?

So, let me get this straight here. If I am one of those people who have no time for sex, I am going to have time to read a book about it? This is perhaps the most serious flaw here. I can see a book with cool pictures, but why would anyone in their right mind rather read this book about not having sex, than just go and do it already? If you are one of these people I suspect there are more issues than "time" keeping you from getting some action.

If I had the time to read this book, I could surely get some serious "relations" going right? Even if I spent an average of 10 minutes "hooking up" (this would include of course time spent actually getting undressed) then in the time it takes to read this book I could become somewhat of an expert in various positions. This book doesn't really help me there.

So, the book has some good ideas, but the best idea is this: put down the book, grab your spouse and get busy. In fact, I suggest leaving this book out on your coffee table, it will shame your spouse into one or two encounters at least just by the title. Now that makes it a worthwhile buy.

This was the first in the Race Against Time series and got me hooked. Uncle Richard and Stephen made a great team. They would always wind up in some sort of exotic locale for their adventures. This time they were in the Sahara desert. The book effectively introduces the two characters and their ulta-cool Kronom KD2 watches. (Imagine a James Bond-type gadget on your wrist) It also introduces them to each other. They were battling a bunch of bad guys who were threatening a movie shoot. If you are into pre-teen adventure, this book might be for you. I remember it fondly.

"The Race Against Time" series are so fantastic and fun to read! Though this is the first book of the series, I must say it isn't one of the best so I had to give the book 4 stars. I always love how Uncle Richard always seems to 'get the girl', which happens to be Lorelei Blake in this book, "Revenge in the Silent Tomb". The best thing of the are Uncle Richard's and Stephen's watches. They're sooooooo cool though I can't say too much about them, you'll have to read the books yourself. The watches are very much like 007's gadgets but the watches can do a lot more!

Being young and experiencing tragic events while growing up is not easy in the real world or in fiction, NO TIME FOR LOVE by Conrad Prophet doesn't makes it any easier.

How does a young man deal with witnessing his father's death by racist cops and then see his mother and little brother shot and killed with the bullets that were intended for him? Then he witnesses his cousin being molested by her own father and can't do or say anything because her father has threatened him. He becomes a conning, bitter and angry man who will stop at nothing until he makes things right through revenge.

NO TIME FOR LOVE is a captivating saga of a man fighting his childhood demons and facing two sides of his life. Rad is a heartless person who is out to avenge the wrongs done to his family. Rene is the warm-hearted man who saves a twelve year-old girl being sold for sex by her crack-addicted father. Rad/Rene are one and the same person. He's wealthy and street-wise, yet he is there for his friends. He's also in love with Bridgette, but will not commit himself to her until he finishes his vengeance spree. Rene/Rad are fighting to gain control of each other, but which one will rule?

Bridgette is in love with Rene and has been patiently saving herself for him to finally make a commitment to their relationship. When it doesn't happen, she decides to move on to another man who she feels will give her the same love and devotion she craves from Rene. But as the saying goes, be careful what you wish for because things may not be as they seem.

Mr. Prophet produced a novel that is a must read because it touches your heart and soul. This book blew me away because the author consolidated every character's drama skillfully together with a flow that pulled you into each page. He made you respect and understand why Rene/Rad had to make certain choices. The secondary characters added a suspenseful element which included conspiracy, double-crossing, domestic violence, senseless killings and sudden twists and turns. Overall, NO TIME FOR LOVE by Conrad Prophet did exactly what he wanted it to do, kept you on the edge of your seat, made you think, and gave you hope and reasons to look to God for Guidance.

Many humourous books are too short because authors find it difficult to keep humor alive for a full length book. Not Tom Kyle. Kyle mixes two intelligent, but kooky, scientists, lots of government research money, a bunch of ambitious administrators, and what does he get? Answer - belly laughs. When lead kook Sid forgets to go to work, he mathematically proves that calling four hours work anything less than a full day's work violates work rules. The other, Harold gets lost so often that his wife worries each day whether he'll manage to find his way home. The pair delight in getting their equipment from the salvage building. One day a salvage video system shows some, but not all, people with an orange glow. Circumstances convince the pair that people acting deceitfully show up orange on their system. They decide that they have a video deceit detector, an item the CIA would spend mega bucks to get. When administrators want proof that the machine works, Harold and Sid invoke the psychological code of ethics. The code prohibits testing people without their knowledge. They then give a convincing argument that the machine is untestable because a person instructed to tell an untruth is not really acting deceitfully. Administrators love the piles of research money the deceit detector brings in but don't dare get near it. They fear their images might glow bright orange. When Sid and Harold come up with a portable model, the administrators protect themselves by declaring it unsafe for use outside Sid's laboratory. Developing the deceit detector provides plenty of opportunities for Sid and Harold to show that too much intelligence and logic produces uproarious situations. In one case, Harold visits the CIA and is told he must remain within the sight of his escort. So, when nature calls, he feels he must invite the escort to join him the mens room stall. Other episodes involve Sid's home repair fiasco that floods his house in the middle of the night, and Harold's computerized exercise machine that lets him reason with it.

It is a well-told tale full of ridiculously funny episodes that merge seamlessly with the plot to produce a truly funny book.

This is a very funny book about two scientists and how they spend our tax dollars. After talking with the author I understand most of the situations have some basis in truth and happened. This book gives real insight into activities in our national laboratories and just how far out some scientiest are. You will enjoy the humor and wit the author uses in telling his story.
