                  Product Description

The third edition contains thought provoking problems, and is designed to encourage classroom discussion, and help students effectively learn criminal procedure principles. Ideally suited for a one semester course, this casebook contains all the essential decisions without being overwritten or so massive as to be unwieldy. In addition, the new edition is completely up-to-date containing the latest decisions from the United States Supreme Court, as well as problems based on important lower court decisions. Criminal Procedure: Cases, Problems and Exercises is unique because the authors actively seek to place students in situations that they are likely to encounter in practice, and asks students to think about how they might handle those situations e.g., what does a lawyer do when asked to represent a client at a lineup. For this new edition, the authors have added a significant number of new problems. They have also added important cases from the United States Supreme Court's last three terms.

This book is horrible. Its filled with errors in spelling, grammar, and syntax. The cases often times fail miserably to illustrate the point they're trying to make. The problems following the cases are often redundant, vague, and incomprehensible. I can't imagine anyone other than the four authors using this book.

This book spells out a reform agenda for agriculture, food security, poverty alleviation, and management of natural resources. The author argues that economic reforms need to take due account of initial conditions, i.e. socio-inequalities, insufficient infrastructure, and inadequate social

                        Book Description

Consumers have taken the lead in rejecting the biotech industry's determination to foist GMOs on an unsuspecting and unconsulted public. This book gives a voice for the first time to farmers. They are the people being pressured by giant corporations to grow genetically engineered crops. What are the possible downsides for them, particularly for those hundreds of millions of farmers living in the developing countries? This important book is a lucid explanation of what is happening.

                              Book Description

The author joined Yowerri Museveni's rebel army in 1982, and was subsequently a member of the Constituent Assembly which produced Uganda's constitution. Published posthumously, the book tells the inside story of a truly successful revolution and the rise to power of President Museveni. He provides a detailed account of the overthrow of Milton Obote's oppressive regime and the military dictatorship of General Tito Okello. He explains how Museveni and the National Resistance Army were able to gain power in Uganda by principled leadership and a national programme that has eschewed sectarianism and factionalism, to facilitate a lasting and prosperous peace in what is now one of the fastest growing economies in Africa.
